*insert obligatory "where did the month go?" observation*
(seriously, where *did* the month go????)
On a good note, I am feeling somewhat better physically, pain levels are going down to my typical levels. It stinks that I will probably never have a 100% pain-free day, but I will take where I am at now happily. I am feeling a bit better mentally too. Again, not great by a long shot, but more determined. It sounds crazy but going to the protest today helps so much. It really helps me feel like I am doing something albeit only one small voice. Lots of small voices can join to make a loud chorus. :sing:
I was so smart to go to the small grocery store. I would still be wandering around the construction zone Shop Rite if I had gone there. Gary and Cait went down to the shop to bring her car back when I got home. Then they come back in a little while-- the battery had died and the shop put it on the charger but it was going to take more than an hour to charge. So they had to come home, and then went back out a little while later. While they did that, I finished my protest sign and started to gather what I am going to need- sunscreen and a large water bottle. Then I went outside to do some weeding. I saw this tiny little toad, was smaller than a stink bug. So I was talking to it a bit. Gary shouts out of the window, "who are you talking to?" and then laughed when I said "a tiny cute toad!"
I also had a couple of good ideas for Caitlyn and Gary. And *drum roll* they worked! It is going to be 90* today and Gary is going to be working on the car, so I suggested that he put a tarp up to keep some of the sun off of him. We have a tent canopy from when we would go camping that I had forgotten that we had, but he set that up so that should help a bit.
Then, Caitlyn needed to weigh Muffin so she knew how much baby ibuprofen to give her. Her mammary tumor is now so large, she can't put her hand down and needs to hop around a bit. Her hand/arm is swollen and the ibuprofen will help the swelling. Cait wasn't sure how she was going to keep Muffin on the food scale. I suggested to keep her in her tissue box. The girls *love* to snuggle in a tissue box and it was super easy to weigh that first, let her climb into it again and then put that on the scale.
*pats self on back* :first:
I have to reward myself when I do good since I tend to forget all of that when I am down on myself like I had been this past week.
I hope that all of you have a great day and weekend!!!
xoxo
