I am shocked that June is over already. Well, this is the last weekend which feels crazy to me.

Today is the day for the family bash and I think I am on track to be ready. I did a lot of the cooking/cleaning yesterday. I never made it into the attic but that will be first on my list this morning. We had a bit of a scare in the morning. It was actually more than a bit of a scare. Caitlyn was in the shower and lost all water pressure. Gary checked the well pump and it was not working, not even a little bit. The breakers were fine and I knew that it wasn't dry with all of the rain we have been having. We were frantically texting friends on the street to see if, at the least, Cait could rinse all of the shampoo out of her butt length hair. All I could think about was 2 things-- I had sink load of dirty dishes from the party prep of 20 people coming here today and OMG- how much does a well pump repair cost??? :faint2:
We were able to get an appt with a well service company but in the meantime, Gary found a fuse box that he had never noticed before. The fuse had blown and thank all of the gods, he had a fuse. :hail:

To say that it is never dull here is an understatement. hahahaha!!!

Today is gonna be a long one. Remind me again why I do these big parties here? I say that every darn time too, don't I?
I better get my day started.
xoxo!

Sorry that personals have to be super short today.

Trudy- you have been very busy- sorry that you have to do such big grocery shopping but it is for a *very* good reason. Yay!!! The visit with your sisters sounds like it was a lot of fun.

Nancy- My dogs all try to find a section of the tile by the front door when it gets hot, although they love to lie outside in the driveway in the sun too. I have been such a HUGE Warren fan for years and years and Harris is my #2 choice ATM. They would be my dream ticket. Enjoy the dinner this weekend with your friends.

hugs to all of you!

Morning ladies!! It is the long weekend for us here as we will celebrate :canada: Day here on Monday. We are off to Costco this morning to stock up the freezer with meat and frozen goodies for all the grands and neighbourhood kids. The kids across the street keep asking when Mason will be arriving, they had lots of fun last summer together and hopefully they will again this summer! Isaac and Sadie are older than most of the kids in the neighbourhood, but who knows they might meet some new friends down the street. So I will get some breakfast going soon for DH and then see if there is anything else to add to the Costco list, then we will hit the road. When I went out yesterday to do my other grocery shopping I could not believe the traffic!! Everyone and their dogs were headed out of town for the long weekend! The grocery stores were buzzing with shoppers stocking up with camping goodies and party items. I was sure glad to get back home!

Chris - You did it!!! You are ready for the party!! Despite your scare of not having any water!! Yikes that must have been heart stopping!! You are right there is never a dull moment at your house! Sure hope Cait got all the shampoo out of her long hair LOL. Be careful up in that attic, we wouldn't want you to fall through the roof before your guests arrive. Have a wonderful time at your party and enjoy the company!! :partywine

I am off to the shower, but first I need to do a couple of behind the scene things here. Have a great weekend everyone!! I hope to pop in again tomorrow morning and catch up with everyone!

Morning, gals. I was busy all day yesterday and didn't make it in here to say hello. Well, it finally happened... the A/C came on late yesterday afternoon. It was 99 outside and it hit 80 inside so the A/C kicked on. Another hot day today.. already at 80 outside so am sure the A/C will be going again today. Need to get the bills made out and into the mail. Can't believe that it already the end of June. The year is half over!!!

Did you all get a load of the fun MiniOs in the shop??? Fabulous!! I had to indulge in a few of them... LOL.... Having fun doing a few masculine LOs.

:canada: HAPPY CANADA DAY to our friends up north! Hope you have a great holiday weekend. Trudy, sounds like your grandkids will have fun with the neighborhood kids. Hope Cosco isn't too crowded when you go.

Cris... YIKES... no water! What a scare that must have been - especially for Cait with shampoo still in her hair! Glad it was just a fuse but what a way to find there was another separate fuse box for the pump! Glad Gary had a fuse that fit. I know you will have fun with the family at the party. Just relax and enjoy the day.

Need to go to the produce market and pick up a few things at the grocery store. Better get it done today as it will be crazy out there next week as everyone prepares for July 4th. Not sure if the family will be doing anything on the holiday. We usually have a barbecue at DD#1's.

Yesterday was another hot, sunny day until evening when we had thunder storms come through with more rain we didn't really need. More storms overnight too. We're back to sunny and breezing now but storms will probably pop up. We had a nice class Thursday and I've got two new posts on the blog. Tomorrow is the annual banquet for our county lineage groups. I'm the head judge for evaluating the applications so have a big part in it all. In addition this year I'm getting inducted into the group for ancestors resident in the county after 1880 up to 100 years ago. It should be a good time.

Chris, the loss of water must have felt like the bottom of the world dropped out on you for a bit. Kudos to Gary for finding and fixing the fuse. Hope you really did hit the attic early and safely. You WILL enjoy the bash today.

Trudy, makes me a little breathless just reading all you're doing getting ready. Enjoy the Canada Day holiday and get-together first though.

Kay, here it really feels like summer, so no surprise your A/C kicked in. That is why you have it! Hope you have an easy time shopping today. It would be nice if the family has a do for the 4th. I missed a day or so and need to add my cheers for your Hawaiian themed RH lunch. When that happens, do get a picture for us!

Everyone, hope you're getting in good summer vibes.

Good morning! I survived but dang, I am exhausted. Gary never does well in the heat and even with the AC on, it was too much for him and he spent most of the time lying in the dark upstairs.
he is busy washing some dishes right now which is helpful to me.
It was nice having us all together and I have 3 months to go before I do it all over again LOL

I am going to finish my coffee and let the girls outside. If I don't make it back for personals, just know that I am sending each and every one of you big hugs!

It's a gorgeous morning, sunny, breezy and not too hot. We'll be off to the luncheon soon. I'm wearing new, smaller clothes and feeling good. Hope it all goes off without a hitch, including my part of lighting three candles while another lady reads about them.

Chris, of course you survived. And it always makes you tired after. Sorry it was too much for Gary. Rest up and revive today.

Just can't seem to get motivated today... managed to get to the produce market and pick up a few things from the grocery store before it got too hot to be out. It is 101 at 5PM!!! That is too hot to do much. Got the ceiling fans running and blinds/drapes closed. Now I am going to get a book and try to read the evening away.
