How in the world do you get a puppy to sleep past 5am? There has to be a way to do this, and I am determined to figure it out.
With the treadmill out of my bedroom, we moved Jaida's crate in that spot. This way Gary doesn't have to sleep on the sofa in the LR with her.
She is now my alarm clock, just like an infant. 5am, on the dot, she is awake and ready to go potty. When Gary would get up with her, he would keep her in the gated off area of the LR. He would be able to put the TV on, or his computer and keep an eye on her. My computer and coffee pot are not anywhere I can let her roam free while I try to regain full consciousness.
This morning, I tried to put her back in her crate which she wanted nothing to do with *that.* I couldn't let her really keep her in the BR with Ray because she then wanted to play-fight with her. I took her back outside, made sure she pooped then put her in the gated area. I think she has been asleep aside from a few barks at the cats, but this is going to be difficult to do all summer. I like my sleep. But I know Gary needs it too, he has been up with her since we got her. Tag team -- it is the only way to go.
Yesterday was pretty sweet! Busy, but nice.
I was getting ready to go out and Gary told me the news about the Same Sex Marriage ruling. I know that we keep the Ooo's a political free zone, soall I will say about it is that it made me happy.
Right before Gary and I left to run our errands, the car place told us that the "new" car was ready. We picked that up on our way home, and I haven't had a chance to drive it yet, it is really nice. I am kind of (ok, a LOT) jealous! Mom now drives the beater car of the family LOL
The day was capped off with a yummy lunch at the restaurant where Scott works. The place is very pretty, and the food was delish! I had a chicken dish with spinach and tomatoes and a lemon and garlic sauce. Yum! We got to meet Scott's boss too, who comped our coffee and dessert.
The only "glitch" in the day, and it is not really a glitch since we knew it was coming, is that Brendan is getting kicked out again and I think this time it is for good He'll be moving in with us for a while, until he can figure what his next move is. He asked why he needed to eat outside on the deck while AHSF gets to eat inside-like a human, which he is NOT!!!-- and AHSF told him if he ever ate inside again he would be the s*** out of him or some similar insane response. And his mother agreed!!!
As much as it is going to be a hard adjustment for us here, how can we let him continue to live is such an environment? It is not in our nature.
Anyway, that is enough of my ramblings (for now). I hope that all of you have a fantastic day!
