Happy weekend! How is the O-Fam today?

I am ok. I am mad at myself. Our garbage pick up was on the 4th so so it was switched to a Saturday. Of course, when I looked at the town calendar, I wrote down the wrong Saturday. Now I am all :pout:

I had a pretty productive day yesterday cleaning the house. Just a few of the rooms downstairs and we will finish up today before my poor SIL gets here. She is allergic to my cats and will be sneezing her head off by the time she leaves.

I didn't do much else because I made the chicken and tofu recipes for dinner last night and that is time-consuming. Caitlyn had to work until after 6 and then hit TJ MAXX on her way home to get stuff to make her hair grow faster so her tofu was cold at that point. She likes it cold so it didn't bother her.

Cait and I are off to a Dr appt for her. it is just a physical needed for her job so it should be quick. She is such an odd duck that even at 18, she wants me to come with her.
It's all good.

And this afternoon I am going to get to see my godson! I hope that he wants to hang out with me a bit. He loves Cait's rats so I am sure that he will want to visit with them upstairs. I should take my camera out and get some pics of him with them.

Who has fun plans for the weekend? I hope that you all perfect weather (we are getting rain- boo) and a wonderful day!

Nancy- I totally understand how you feel about being nonproductive and depressed. I get that way often when my body simply will not cooperate with what I want to do. I feel bad when Jaida wants so run and chase and I just can't do it.

Rae- how is Beckham doing at the trailer? I hope that he and Taz are having a fun but mellow time. That must have felt amazing to have your neighbor notice your weight loss. You rock!!!

Jean- good call by your DH to cancel his bird count plans. Will he be able to get out today?
Cait says the same- she will cut her own hair from now on. Hopefully, she will do a better job of it than when she was 5 and wanted to give herself bangs.
Enjoy the arts festival.

We got a cold front with the stormy weather yesterday so it is cooler now but cloudy. Not sure what we'll do today. As to the bird counts, DH is part of a group doing them in one location, so hopefully someone else is signed up for today.

Chris, I can imagine the trash pickup confusion. Here it is easier as any holiday just bumps all the following days that week forward one day. Our day is Monday, so didn't have to change. And, yes!!! Get that camera out for pictures. And odd duck or not, Cait is a sweetie.

Nancy, good wishes for you to feel better!!

Rae, hope all is lovely at the trailer.

Trudy, thinking of you - not all that far away (at least as compared to usual) across a big lake and an international border though.

Wishing everyone the best this weekend.

Good morning, ladies. I did it again....had a big long post, hit a wrong key and it all disappeared...ugh. So now I have to make it quick b/c I have things to do. Beckham is doing fine at the trailer but does need help getting up and down the steps and I have to be with him when he's out walking in the yard in case he stumbles and loses his balance. He just had a chemo treatment on Wed so is feeling a bit tired and yucky so his energy level is low, he is happy to just hop around the yard for a few minutes and then wants to come back in and snuggle with me on the couch. I've taken a few photos that I can scrap with.

Chris - you like sci-fi stuff like me so I recommend The Mist if you haven't seen it yet. It's episode 4 so far (S King story). I love the characters on it. I was missing the Dome as it didn't come back this year so this show kind of replaces that for me.

Good morning, ladies. Had a lovely day yesterday, sitting out on the deck, watching netflix and relaxing while the dogs played and napped in the yard. Had a BBQ and then scrapped a page last night for Vicki's challenge. It's been a good wkend here at the trailer except for the raccoons that have gotten up into the space between the trailer roof and the metal roof built overtop. They have set up home up there and make a lot of racket in the middle of the night. We'll be back out in a few wks and Darrell will have to figure out how they are getting up there and block off the access. In all our yrs of having a trailer, this has never happened to us before.

We're heading home in a bit and then after Beckham goes home this afternoon I'll get some desk work and CT work done.

Hope you all are having a good wkend.

just a quick pop in so no one worries that I died. JK!! :pound:

My poor little guy started throwing up yesterday on his way up here and my SIL had stayed home since she was sick, so we didn't get to see them at all. But hey, at least my house is clean. *winks* I spent most of the day out in the yard clipping back some "past due" flowers and transplanting some ground cover from the front to the back. Now I am pooped.
I will be sure to catch up more tomorrow!

Chris, sure hope everyone feels better soon. I know you miss seeing that little guy! But as Rae said, you got to be in the yard. You would love the excitement at our house today as a family of orioles found the oriole feeder and have been coming every so often. The male has been feeding at least one fledgling. DH had to replenish the grape jelly in it.

Rae, yuck about the raccoon invasion! They are little terrors, but I'm sure you'll get it taken care of.

Today was awesome :) it was fairy warm here in Colorado, my area almost hit 100! It was that kind of warm where even the breeze was warm! I figured it was just too hot so I went and bought 700 water balloons and 8 water squirters! Needless to say I was soaked to the bone in minutes thanks to my 5 kids and one of their friends!! It was awesome :)
