lOve the O!
morning O family. Wanted to say Hi before I leave for work. Another hot week. My internet is going in and out, so I hope it starts to work better by the time I get home. Have an extraordinary day!!!!

Good morning Laurie! Hope the internet gets better.

It was 103 here yesterday...supposed to get to 105 today. My nephew plays baseball at noon today...hopefully it will only be in the 90's when that happens. I am taking off of work at 11 so I can get to the game.

Hope to catch all of you later toay!

GoooOd mOrning and happy Monday to all of you.

I woke up some thunderstorms but I am hoping that they'll go away before I head to MIL's for work. The kids are coming with me today too, so hopefully they will work and not bicker. :poke:
Then dropping a carload of junk to my mom's for the Garage Sale and then dinner- which will be cooking in the crock pot.

Me me Monday- probably nothing on my end since I won't be home at all today. But I hope you get to do something fun for you.

Laurie- have a great day at work!

Good morning! My boys (including DH) are leaving for summer camp this morning and won't be back until Thursday afternoon! I see a few layouts in my future! I guess I should clean too so it can actually stay that way for a few days!

Afternoon Ladies! It's 12.23pm here...and raining (pouring) again...sigh!
I'm sure we would be more than happy if some of our European rain clouds would move over your way if we could just have a little of your sun LOL!!

I'm off to meet a friend for coffee - only thing to do - it's either that or housework eek!! ;)

Cinda, put off the cleaning until the day before they get home! have a relaxing few days of "vacation!"

Laurie, i hope your Internet gets sorted out. isn't it amazing how stuck on that technology we've become? i couldn't do without it, i think. have you gotten the approval for your 4-day week yet?

Linda, you think they'd call off the BB game in 105! that's almost dangerous! well, don't forget your sunscreen this afternoon.

Chris, what's in the crockpot? i BADLY need some ideas for dinner.

looks like some weather moving in later today. i chickened out on the heat forecast and turned on "The Little Air-Conditioner That Could" as soon as i got up this morning, in prep for 88 degrees and storms later on. probably what will happen is that the power will go off during one of the storms, and i'll be stuck in a roasting house with most of the windows having to be closed because it was raining in. woot. i have to think of something MAJOR to do inside the house today, so that i feel like i've accomplished something important. maybe a big "toss-out" of some sort and a trip to my neighborhood Goodwill with the stuff. why does it never look any more "cleaned out" when i do these clear-outs? i swear, i could take a truck-load of stuff out of here and STILL have no room in my mingy closets....

hope you week starts off with some happy stuff. do something good for yourself. because you deserve it.

I like the way you think Phylis! I'm not a fan of housework which is pretty ironic since I've been a SAHM for nearly nine years now!

well, one thing about being a SAHM: you realize that the mess will still be there tomorrow for you to deal with, so why not wait until tomorrow?? :becky: (i've been a SAHM since 1981!! so imagine how much procrastination I'VE been involved with over the years....)

Morning everyone! Off to work and running a little late, so only a quick drop in here today. Had a fun night with SIL and DD last night. Dragging my butt a bit this morning!
Hope to catch up with everyone tonight. Have fun day!!

Nephew won his ballgame...it was 106 degrees when we finished the game. We had shade and drank lots of water so wasn't too bad. We don't play again until Thursday evening and they are predicting high in the low 90's for Thursday so I'm optimistic! We drank plenty of water (they won't let you carry it in so you pay $3.75 for a bottle)!

I made a recipe in the crockpot yesterday that turned out pretty good. Simple but tasty. Chicken breasts with 2 cans of cream of chick soup and a package of dry Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix. The chicken was so tender, it fell apart. And the soup makes a gravy that we had with mashed potatoes.

But I, like Phylis, would love to hear some more ideas for crockpots!
