Quick one again this morning, never a dull moment here. Jaida gets her first dose of Trazadone at 6am. I gave been doing this the past week so Gary can sleep a bit longer and I am up anyway. For whatever reasons, Gary woke up soon after me, and dosed her again. Off to call the Vet ER service where jaida had her surgery. Tech just said that she will be a sleepy girl today but she will be fine.

I posted a bunch of pics from yesterday's memorial on FB if you want to see.

Chris, it looked like y'all had a beautiful service! Also, I'm glad Jaida will be all right.

We actually have a pretty busy weekend planned. Today, we are going to a church activity. After that we are off to try and help an elderly women from our church resolve her printer issues. (If we can. I hate printers.) Tomorrow, it's church as usual and then in the evening we have a pre 4th of July party with a friend of David's.

I am back, it is my turn to watch Jaida even though she is pretty well zonked. Although the extra dose of sedatives didn't keep her down when our crazy neighbor walked in the front door. We bought this house from her, it was her mom's, so we get the connection, but I can't tell you how many times over the years she has just opened our front door and walked in. SMH. She is the "Street-Drunk" and more than a bit :loco:

Yesterday's service and repast was very nice- a real celebration of life. Whomever wanted to speak shared stories or memories. Lots of laughter, and recognition of family and friends. It was so special to see the cousins all together too. We have one cousin who is technically Scott and Cait's Second cousin, but she was born 6 days after Scott, so its like whatever- just plain old cousins is fine... They were at a table together and I heard them just laughing and telling stories. I hope that they will be able to spend more time together, not just at the weddings/funerals that so often happens.

Today is a catch up on housework and yard work, if it ever warms up. Tomorrow I am cleaning for my client that I was suppsed to clean for a few days ago, then a busy week up ahead.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

PS: Herx is winding its way down so I am starting to feel closer to 78.3% human!

Good morning, ladies. Slept in again until 9:30. I'm enjoying this lazy long wkend at the trailer. Even got a challenge page done last night as we watched Independence Day. Now I'm ready to see the new Independence Day. Love Jeff Goldblum. Did a trip to Trader Joes yesterday and got some of their cashew butter to try. I was going to make some cold pressed coffee for my cold lattes but they had some already made so bought theirs plus some of their coffee to try. Love TJs. Today I'm cleaning the deck, washing the floors and then can spend the day relaxing, going for a hike with Taz, read my book and maybe scrap later this afternoon.

Chris - good thing Jaida is ok with double dosing. It'll be a quieter day for you guys if she is more sleepy and not moving around much.

Cindy - sounds like a good wkend. Hope you get her printer going. I have electronic issues all the time and never know how to fix anything.

I'm going to grab some breakfast, so off I go. Have a good day, everyone.

Haven't been scrapping lately and also not feeling too good so have missed a lot lately. There was a concentration on genealogy for a while too.

Chris, sorry to have missed your birthday! Best wishes for always.
Was shocked to learn of Cait's ulcer and lack of diagnosis.

Trudy, sure hope you feel better and are well when you get home.

Hi to everyone.

My poor Sazume is having a horrible day. Loud noises forced is to run home on both the morning and evening walks. Her instance. She cannot stand loud pops or bangs.

Yippppeeeee!!! The herx is one its way out!!!! (I am ignoring the fact that tomorrow is Monday which means I take Tindamax AKA abx from hell)

We have been having some really nice weather here, although it was freezing inside my house yesterday.
Jaida survived her double dosing of meds, whew. You would think that I don't have a chart on the chalkboard or something that helps us keep track of her meds and PT. *eye roll* heheh!!! i spent some time in with her, and some time upstairs with Cait's rat babies. Man, they are so adorable!! Well, until Muffin peed on me. Nah- even after that, still so cute. Cait is spoiling the heck out of them, they want to be out of the cage and on her at all times. She walks around the house with both of them on her shoulders.

She did have to put them in the cage for an hour while she dyed my hair. Pink. She had some leftover semi-permanent hair color, mixed the blue and fuchsia together- looked like a very pretty purple, but when I rinsed it, the blue washed out a bit. So it is more of a rosy purple than a violet. But it ombre-ed on its own and looks kind of cool.

Today I have to clean for my neighbor and I hope to spend some time outside. It all depends on Jaida and Gary.

hope that all of you have a wonderful day!

Thank you Cindy- yes the service was perfect. Lots of laughter and memories. MIL read something that the nursing home had put together a while back and it said "Her favorite food is... " MIL paused and we all said together-- chocolate! :D
How did the printer issue work out?

Rae- you must be catching up on all of the sleep you had missed the last couple of weeks. Good for you!
I like TJ's too but the nearest one is 45 minutes away so it is hard to get down there. how was the cashew butter?

jean- gentle hugs and I hope you are feeling better. We have missed you!

Cindy- I hate fireworks and how they freakout Ray too. She cowers and shakes. Last night I tried to get her up on the bed with me and it is like she curls into herself. :(
Hope that today is a better one for her.

xoxoxo!!!!

lOve the O!
Morning all my O fam- think of you often. I have not scrapped much either, Jean. I was in Cleveland yesterday for a German celebration, however there were no tickets left for dinner so I left before the dancing started. Tonight fireworks and the best part- I live in town so I can walk down and place chairs and then return tonight for the fireworks- no traffic jams for me!! Have a great weekend everyone.

Good morning, ladies. We're hitting the road soon so we can get across the border and hopefully the lineups won't be too bad yet. It was such a relaxing day yesterday (except for Taz being freaked out last night with fireworks and firecrackers going off all evening) and then slept til 8:30 today. I can't remember the last time I had so much sleep over a weekend. It was wonderful. Laundry, errands, grocery shopping and housecleaning later and have to figure out what's for dinner.

Chris - sounds like a fun hair color!

Cindy - Taz doesn't tolerate loud bangs either. He hid behind the chair shaking for most of the night and would go out to the bathroom but luckily he held it til this morning. He slept pressed up against me quivering for most of the night, poor little guy.

Jean - hope you are soon feeling better.

Laurie - how fun to walk to the fireworks and not have to deal with traffic and parking. Hope it was a fun night.

Taz is exhausted and sleeping beside me now and once we get in the car will zonk out for the 1½ hr drive (or longer if traffic is busy at the border).

Have a great day, everyone. I'm going to have another coffee and relax a bit before packing up for home.

I may feel a bit better and the new month's challenges have gotten me scrapping a bit too.

Chris, you know we want pix of the new hair color!

As for fireworks, we usually get ours on the TV, so Laurie's way sounds great.

Hope it's a great time for all.
