omg, I have not complained in a long time about the crazy dump truck that liked to run me over, but WOW!!! It did a number on me this week. I hurt all over, and talk about exhausted. I slept until 8, but still need more. I am taking it easy today, althouygh I don't think I have much say in the matter.

Cait is gonna be hurting too, except her pain is all from youth and mosh pits!!
She had a blast at the festival yesterday and made it home safe and sound. All of these milestones! Concerts with friends, dates, gah!!!

Oh, drat? Just got off the phone with the IL's, they are coming up today for a bit. Oh well, they will stay for a little while and will be nice to see FIL too.

Hope everyone has a terrific day!

i know the truck, Chris....

and
I don't think I have much say in the matter.

oh, yes, you DO!

a gloomy and drizzly day here. at LAST!! :whoo: looking forward to an escape from the relentlessly sunny days of the last few weeks. how's THAT for nuts?? i am just so TIRED of being HOT! did some ironing () so far this morning. now waiting for the new AnnaStuff to show up in the store so i can do the forum post. dunno what's on for the rest of the day. i should probably go through with cleaning the SurvivalMobile, which i was supposed to do a few days ago....

all in all, a boring Saturday, most likely.

did you see my latest page?? the DD and i are back on track again. it may take a while to recover from these last 7 months, but at least the reason for the dispute has left the building. so. woot!

be happy. take what's yours. most especially your TIME.

Morning sweet ladies!! A beautiful day here again today, I will embrace each one, because it was such a long time coming!! DD's flight was cancelled last night :hurt: something about not enough pilots to fly the planes and so not enough hrs in between shifts, they can only fly so many hrs. Which makes sense, but for goodness sake find some more people to fly the planes!! Anyway she was put on the same flight for tonight instead. Hope everything goes well this time!! I hate to think of her stuck in an airport as she needs to use a wheelchair. She does not use one normally, but can't walk independently so the wheel chair is the only solution in a big airport. West Jet is usually great with her, a lot of them know her and take really good care of her. But as a mother I worry about her a lot!!

Chris - I am sorry that you are hurting so much today! I know that if I am out in the sun too much it totally drains me! Glad that your DD had a good time at her festival, the first of many to come I'm sure! Oh to be a teenager again!

Phylis - I am so happy that you and your DD are on the road to recovery! My heart broke for you not having a good relationship! Lets hope its all water under the bridge now! I totally understand the way you feel about the heat! It can be so draining, especially when you can't get out of the house because its so hot!! I am so lucky that the heat is not that intense here. Hope your weekend is filled with great things!!

Off to Costco this morning and then hopefully to the airport tonight to pick up my Heather :becky:

loving the gloom, had nice lunch on the deck after dance. Trying to plan time in DC to see my boys and maybe winery visits next weekend.!

hello all.....quick stop in....babysitting tonight in a little bit me the hubs and the kids were out this morning went to a friends little shop about 30mins away had lunch it was a fun morning/afternoon out :)

Good afternoon all! I'm exhausted... Two days of soccer! We were playing about an hour from home which meant spending the entire day there. Got there for a morning game and then stayed for an afternoon game. The heat was wicked...although didn't seem to bother Sydney! Now on a short break of a couple hours before we head off to my nephew's baseball game.

Tomorrow, we are having a picnic lunch at Dad's...celebrating said nephew 's birthday. I got up early this morning and got my potato salad dressing made. After tonight's game, I'll make homemade ice cream and we will be ready for tomorrow!

And then it will be Monday and I'll wonder where the weekend went. ;-)

Good morning!!!

My "Take it slow day" didn't turn out as slow as I had planned. (Surprise surprise!!) With my IL's coming up, I had to clean a bit, i mean the floors were layered with fur from my super-shedding fur-babies. Then it turned into laundry and dishes and so on and so on. I have a super busy week and I wanted to get a head start on coupon clipping and by he time I was done with that, they were here. After they left it was almost time to start dinner. I hate when those days happen!
Sadly, I can feel the crankiness overtaking me. Wish I could stop that "tone" in my voice. Scott says I am depressed, Cait says I am cranky. Maybe a bit of both? :noidea:

I want a day to scrap but why does it have to be so hard to find?? LOL

Phyllis- woohooooo!! I haven't sen your page, but I will be sure to check it out. So happy that you and DD are working things through!!!
What is the SurvivalMobile??
Love your statement of taking what is yours, especially time, cripes, why is it so hard for me to do that??? Hopefully i will learn that lesson before it is too late.

And wow- the new Anna Palette is amazing!!!!!!

Trudy!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is your DD with you now??? I bet you are just wanting to hug her forever!!!!!!!
I am glad that she is in good hands at the airport, but I would be so worried too. Enjoy every minute you have together!

laurie- hope you had a great day!

Kristy- hope you are feeling tons better!

Linda S- jeez, no way can I complain about my busy weekends. That Sydney just does not stop does she? :D
How did your nephew's game go? Have a great time at your BBQ today!

nana!!!! looooove your new avi- you hawt mama!!!!!!

Good morning ladies! Oh Chris, how I wish I could just come in the O-jet and grab you and the two of us could spend a weekend doing nothing...except maybe a little scrapping! And we would leave the O-fairies at our homes to take care of a long list of items! Since I can't do that I guess I'll just say ((hugs)) and hope that you know how very, very much that I mean them!

Trudy, I hope that you don't even see this message because I hope that you are with your darling Heather! I hope that the two of you got the first of many long talks and hugs in last night and hope that the weather holds for you!

Ooo...Laurie, I know what you mean about enjoying the gloom! This sun and heat have taken a toll! And you get to go to DC next week...that sounds like fun!

Phylis, I am so happy to hear that you and your daughter are back on track! I'm so off to check out your gallery!!

Trudy, hope you're having a fabulous time with your DD. take pix! make a page so we can see!

Laurie, where are the wineries you're going to? DC is sort of in my area, and i'd love to do some wineries some day! i just don't know where the good ones are.

Chris, the SurvivorMobile is my car. i have it stocked with enough stuff to get me through several weeks without food or water. because we're doomed  and i want to be able to eat if i'm trapped on the road someplace....i know........but better safe than sorry. one day i sat down and thought about what i could have done if i were caught in that snowstorm traffic jam in Chicago a few winters ago (people stuck in cars in DOWNTOWN CHICAGO for hours, with no help from the authorities) and also the Katrina thing, when no help came from the city at all, and i figured that God helped those who made an effort to help themselves a bit before the National Guard could show up. my huband thinks i'm insane, so i told him that he wouldn't be getting any of my freeze-dried beef stroganoff, in the event of an emergency.

Linda, thanks for the nice page comment. she IS a beauty. hopefully we're on the road back.

Kristy, feeling better?

today. hmmm. SKYPE with my son. change the water in my emergency water stash. (yep. got disaster stuff at home, too....) maybe a trip to the grocery store to deal with Men with Shopping Carts until i can't take it anymore. it's starting to heat up again here. 89 tomorrow, 90-something on Tuesday. looks like the AC is going to go back on tomorrow morning. more drawn curtains.

happy Sunday. drink some wine.

We are taking two separate trips- we are going to DC Labor Day weekend- except I forgot I still work on Fridays and booked trip to arrive on Friday- oops- I will see about more time off. Wineries we hope to hit next weekend- near Mentor Ohio and then two in NYS along lake Erie before Buffalo. Have to finally fill that wine fridge we bought last fall! I am still working my bottle cutting skills, seems I do best on the ugly bottles!!
