Happy Saturday!
OMG- I had the best moment of sleep ever- you know that moment when you start to wake up, wonder what time it is and how much longer that you have to sleep.... and then you realize it is the weekend? Bliss!!!!!!!!

I was able to get back to sleep until 8! :whoo:

I spent another 4 hours or so clearing out the filing cabinets, shredded old papers, etc. I now have three full brown paper bags filled with stuff for recycling. I made new folders for my out of pocket med. expenses (one that needs *lots* of room lol!), and a folder for Cait's college info. OMG- I am going to have two kids in college in the fall!! My parents are the best. My dad started mutual funds accounts when they were babies and adds to it on Christmas and their b-days. They have about $12-14K in them and thank goodness they have that b/c there is no way that I could help them pay tuition.
When I went to college in 1986, I went to a state college but in PA. my parents were able to pay tuition and room/board. When I transferred back to NJ, they told me that they could still cover my tuition but not living on campus which was fine by me. I cannot believe that I was able to graduate with no student debt. My parents aren't wealthy by any means but they knew how to save. I guess that is where I get my thriftiness from.

How can kids afford college? All of my friends kids' are looking at schools that are $35-$45K a year! I love that both of my kids will be in community college- which is about $6K a year. (And I get to keep them at home with me a bit longer *evil-mom grin* )

Today I think that I am going to move on from the filing cabinets to the boxes and boxes of loose photos that I have in here. If I can get them organized, maybe I can scan some and scrap a subject other than my dogs hahahah!!!

Sheesh! 10 am already- if I want to do that and get the house tidied for tomorrow, I'd better get going. My mom's b-day brunch will be here and that crazy woman- she is bringing so much food, we will be eating all day long! All I have to do is tidy the house and provide oj for mimosas. :)

Hope that everyone has a fab day!

These will have to be super fast personals- sorry!

laurie- hope you got the quicken issue straightened out and the laptop is scrapping-ready! How was the property?

Nancy- when do you leave for your trip? Have fun!
And a brick, Luther? What are you thinking? hahah!!

Rae- did you get your closets organized? That is another thing I have on my to-do list. In my little box of an office, I have one computer tower, two monitors, 1 flatbed scanner, one all in one scanner/printer and one laser printer. Plus a battery back-up, and some external usb hubs. I feel your pain with cords!
Let me know what you think of the book!

Trudy- Hpope your muscles are feeling better today but 30 laps, WTG!
My mom is amazing. I knew that Scott wouldn't have a chance to talk to her yesterday, so I suggested he call her when he got a chance to leave a msg. He whips his phone out, has her number memorized and left a really nice msg. She is am awesome grandma too.
Love how Mason had the toys for you to see! Can you screen shot in Skype? Would be so cute to see some LOs of him chatting with you!

Kat! Welcome back, yay for heat in the office!! As you can see, I live for to-do lists, so I totally understand you writing every last thing on yours.
Happy scrapping!!!!

Rae- quinoa-- do you like cheese and broc? I have a decent recipe, if you subbed in a low fat cheese it might make it WW friendly. Congrats on the fitbit! Mine is Plum. :)
I seriously need to check my stride. I am hitting between 9000-10000 most days and it feels like I am not even trying. Even the day that I did my 6 hour IV- not much walking chained to that, I hit 6K.
Maybe it is allof the running in circles i do.:D

Morning everyone... well so far just Chris :becky: Where is everyone this morning? Sleeping in today like Chris and I did?? Yes I slept until... get this... 9:15am and I only woke up once last night for a couple of mins. Ohhhh sweet blissful sleep!!! I guess my body finally said enough is enough you need to sleep woman!! LOL.
Today is a not much happening day, a few errands to do with DH and then we just enjoy staying home for a bit. Tomorrow we are off tot he In-Laws to help FIL put his awning back up after having the deck refinished. It is way to heavy for one person to try to do. Hopefully MIL will have something for me to help her with also. They finally have asked us for some help so we readily accepted and will be staying for supper also.

Chris - Yikes both kids in college you must be so very proud of them!! And WTG Grandma and Grandpa for having the foresight to put away $$ for the grandkids!! Your parents rock  I will look to see if I can take a screen shot while on Skype I don't see why I would not be able to, that would make a cute page for sure! Thanks for the suggestion!!

Well to everyone who pops in today I hope that you all have a mmmmmavrvelous Saturday!! Do something you love today!

Good morning, ladies. I slept in until just after 9 (that's late for me) and had a leisurely morning sipping coffee, chatting with my hubs and finishing a book (Summer Secrets by Jane Green). The sun is out so we'll take Taz over to the dog park for a bit and then my hubs can grab some takeout for lunch while I'll have a salad and yogurt at home (I'm being pretty diligent with my WW eating plan). Today I want to do a bit of scrapping, cleaning, organizing (have only done a bit) and tonight we'll watch a movie or two. It'll be a nice quiet day.

BTW, my crockpot dinner was good last night. Next time I will add in a bit more hot sauce, garlic and pepper. Tonight I'll simmer some store-bought fresh tortellini in some of the leftover sauce and bake some mushrooms, peppers and carrots. I'm going to freeze the rest of the sauce for me to have with spaghetti squash and veggies for dinner or lunch another time.

Chris - sounds like you're being pretty productive this weekend, good for you. It sure sounds like you have a wonderful family! So supportive!

Trudy - isn't it wonderful when you get a good sleep? I am so curious to see how my sleep pattern tracks on the fitbit (should be here next Friday). Enjoy your quiet day.

The sunshine outside is calling me....gotta go :) Have a lovely day, everyone!

Happy Weekend everyone- when I restarted my computer, restored to different backup file, everything worked great! I was so happy to not be on the phone all day. The property was nice, now the fun of figuring out if this will work out financially! Hubby is meeting with farm credit next week. We will move forward from there. Youngest son fiance face timed me yesterday to show me all the details of the wedding gown she desires. I am guessing she purchased it. After looking at the property, we told our son that if we were able to swing it financially, that would preclude spending on the wedding. Life, always so interesting. Now back to loading fonts on the laptop!!

GooooOd morning, lovely O-zies!
I got nothing done that I needed to yesterday. I did laundry, and dusted a bit. Other than that, I have no idea where the day went. SMH. I wasn't feeling so hot, I think I have a herx coming on, and the weather changes sure as heck don't help. We are going to be back up into the 50's today then drop back down to 30* tomorrow.
At least it's not snow...at least it's not snow...

So the whole fam is coming up, and between the food my both my brother and my mom are bringing- we will be eating forever! Gotta love Italian families! Food, food and more food. Throw in some wine and talking loudly while waving your hands- and that is us. :p

I have to get in the shower and do my hair and makeup so I look nice. Like Laurie- I forgot how to do that! LOL My gift to my mom is a picture of the two of us. I had planned on getting one of us on Christmas but i was so sick that didn't happen. Cait is going to take a picture of us when she gets here and I will run and print it and put it in the frame I have.

That's about it from me!

xoxo

Trudy- wow!!! 9:15?? That is great! I slept good, you slept good, Cait said she slept good-- must have been something in the air! I hope it sticks around.
Did you have a nice day relaxing? Have a nice with FIL/MIL today.

Rae- adding you into the Something in the Air; Sleeping Good group hahahah!! Your day sounded really nice, relaxing, reading and the dog park.
Right now I am reading A Curious Beginning but I only seem to get a chance to read right before bed. I need to carve out some time to actually put my feet up and read during the day.
I had 4 books on Hold from my library. One came in last Monday (new Nora Roberts) , then A Curious Beginning came in on Tues. I dropped the NR one since I really wanted to read the other more. Yesterday I got the notice that 2 more books are in. Ugh! Not enough time to read! And why does that happen, that they all come in at once? *grumbles*

Laurie- that is great news about the property and I hope that it works out financially for you!
And great news too about your computer working!!!!

Time for me to get doing whatever the heck it is I am supposed to be doing.

Hugs to all!

Morning - last day before I return to the working world- new drive and now the snow decides to make its presence known!! Oh well. This job has a central location as well as an actual location. Tomorrow I am at the central location for all the first day stuff, and the next day I spend at both. This Friday we get the rest of the furniture that we ordered!! Such a great way to end the first week of work. Here is to a great last day of the weekend for everyone!!

Good afternoon, ladies. The day is flying by. Stayed up late last night waking a movie with my hubs so didn't get to bed until about 1:30, slept til 9:15 this morning. Enjoyed coffee and reading for an hour and then hopped in the shower before my daughter and granddaughter came over. We went for a long hike with Taz along the river. It's a gorgeous clear day. Now I'm finally sitting down for a few minutes at the computer before doing some errands and cleaning up around the house. Later I'll be baking a breakfast casserole that I'll store in the fridge for the week for breakfast. Here's the pinterest link if you want to check it out.

Chris - isn't that always the way with the library books? I get on the waiting list and wait, and wait....then all of a sudden a whole bunch come in. I'm trying to remember to keep a list of the ones I have to cancel downloads for, so I can reorder them again at a later date. One of my books is due in a few days but if I keep it open on my reader I can continue until I finish, so now I'm reading "The Quiet Game" by Greg Iles (Penn Cage series) and so am really enjoying it. I try to read as many library books as I can but it's hard when you never know when they are going to be available. Have a wonderful celebration with your family today!

Laurie - fingers crossed that the property works out.

Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!

Not sure I will have time to stop in before work. I spent lots of this afternoon prepping food for the week. I made spectacular chili for this snowy cold day. Have a great Monday everyone!
