So the Tintle Avenue Chaos got worse yesterday, but not for me. My friend and neighbor across the street, her mom passed away Thursday night. She was the one who had a meeting on Thurs afternoon to place her mom in hospice and then, overnight she passed away. It wasn't unexpected except that it was so much faster then they thought. In a way, I guess that is very good. My friend was able to see her mom on Thursday, and her mom isn't struggling to breathe any more.

I am taking her down to the warehouse today to get paper goods for Shivah tomorrow. I have never been at a Shivah and I am not sure of what is expected or what is "protocol." Put me in with Catholic Italians, and I am good to go. This, I am not at all sure. She also had a very contentious relationship with her mom and I know it is going to be hard for her. Not that it is easy for anyone I guess.
My plans this weekend are a bit of housework, a bit of scrapping and helping out my friend in any way I can.
We only got an inch or two of snow thankfully but it looks like the next storm up is Sunday to Monday. I should be thankful that we haven't gotten hit by a big storm (especially since our snow-blower is broken!) but this winters its been a Death from a Thousand Snowflakes!! Gah!! Make it all go away!!!
Who else is planning on living vicariously though Linda S and Terry when they are in Maui???
