I am in such a good mood today!!

#clap

Sleeping well does *wonders.* Three solid nights in a row and I swear not only is my mood better, the aches, pains, and stiffness don't seem as bad either. Amazing!!
I am also in a good mood because my desk is mostly clean. I tossed out a few things, put away a bunch of empty boxes, and you can actually see the floor. More good news: Gary got his commission check for the work he did on the mini-arcades the other day and we used it to buy a new loveseat! Have I complained about the loveseat we have? If not, it is a hand-me-down from my ILs and it was in bad shape when we got it. Their cats ripped the fabric in a lot of places. We always kept it covered with blankets but they didn't help with the dogs jumping on it. That happens all of the time since it's in front of the picture window. The cushions are so badly ripped that the foam stuffing is coming out. We tried to get a cover for it but it's a weird shape and nothing would fit over it. I am so freaking excited to get a piece of furniture that matches and isn't a hand-me-down. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate getting them, but my house is a mishmash of everyone else's junk.
Part of me feels guilty, we should use the money to pay down some of the credit cards. But a new loveseat!! So excited!!! ♥

I was pretty busy all day, so I didn't get much scrapping done other than finishing up the White Space LO. I know that Rae and Linda saw it on FB, but if you want to see a tiny piece of Caitlyn's wedding dress, it's in the Gallery. And man, when I say tiny piece-- I mean it. And that was the only picture I was allowed to show people other than my parents and Gary's parents. I had one that showed a small amount more of it and I was told I had to crop it more. She is a brat hahaha!

Sleep felt really good but now I am feeling very behind schedule. Signing off- sending hugs!

Good morning ladies. It's bright and sunny here today but the temp is 34* and windy. So I'm typing this from my warm office looking out at the sunshine on the fronds of the pygmy palm. And I'll just pretend that it is a nice day outside. Going to get to 50* so I probably shouldn't complain and by Monday we will be back to 60s with 70s later in the week. My favorite kind of Florida weather!

I had an interview with another company yesterday and I thought that it went well. I am optimistic that I will be heading back to work sometime in February so absolutely must get this organization done!

And I am loving the gallery filled with all of these pages telling stories of the first 5 years. What a brilliant adventure this will be!

I will be back soon with personals.

@Betty Jo I hope that the vertigo is gone or close to it today

@LSlycord I already miss the "warm" temps of the last few days too. We are back in the 20s which is where it should be in mid-Jan. Stay warm this weekend. How did the other interview go? Is it me or is the entire interview process so much more convoluted nowadays?
*fingers crossed that Syd gets the spot on the Team*
I am so with all of you, Karen's Story project is really awesome, and once I find some pictures of me, I am going to try to do it too.

@BrightEyes Ooooh, I misread the taxes. I think I see the word tax and my head goes all fuzzy ;)
Did you sleep better last night? I know that it is recommended to get out of bed instead of tossing and turning for hours but I can never do that. I think it's because I can't nap. Napping makes me feel worse whether it's for 20 minutes or 2 hours.
Glad that you were able to get all of the stuff you needed on your trip out and about, esp your creamer :D

Linda-- my advice on monitors: Once you get used to having two, it is *really* difficult to go back to just one. If you think you are going to downsize and not have room for two, don't do it. When my 2nd monitor died and I was waiting for Gary to find one in the attic -- I was miserable trying to scrap and it was only for a few hours ha!!!

Kay- I love all of the stories!!

@taxed4ever Your Sisters Lunch sounds like it was very nice! That's a really nice touch to bring your tea set. ♥
How sad for Pam, I'm sending good thoughts to her and to her DD. It's good that she has you and Wendy to be there for her.
Seems like I spend far too much time running off at the mouth LOL
Hmmm, why does that sound soooo familiar?? Bwuahaah! Me too, my friend, me too

@Cherylndesigns Yup, I'll take the weather we have been having over the typical NJ winter. Although talk to me at the end of Feb if we don't have any snowpack to build up the reservoirs in spring.
It's so smart of you to get just the desktop and a large single monitor rather than try to squeeze in two. One thing I hate is being cramped in smaller spaces and that would make me feel claustrophobic. I can feel the difference in having a "cleaner" desk today than I did yesterday.
I know that DST uses Tap a Talk, no idea how it works though

@bcgal00 I hope that the weather is warm enough for you to bring the dogs out and about soon, they must love it. Have a wonderful time at the birthday party. I never drank any of the hard seltzers or canned vodka drinks until Caitlyn got them for her engagement party. Some of them are really good!
I hope that the tweaks continue to work on the computer and that the tech person can upgrade the graphics card easily

Love to youall and have a fab weekend!

Morning, all. Woke up feeling much better - almost 'normal' again. I was busy yesterday afternoon after resting for awhile from running errands. I got 2022 folders moved into the storage bin, labeled the 2023 folders and got the paperwork that was on the kitchen island put into the folders. Plus gathered up the 2022 tax paperwork together. That put a big :) on my face to get the paperwork/files for the new year set up. And... I love seeing a clear island surface!!! Did another load of laundry yesterday and just put the last load on. On the slightly disappointing side - got a call from the dealership. My 2023 Sonata won't be here on Feb 5th - the new arrival date at the dealership is Feb 12... so will be around the 15th before I get it. :( Hope that date doesn't slip any more. DD#3 also called... she will be coming by this weekend. Needs some help with the doggie coat...the zipper on it catches on the dog's tummy. Not a good thing. We may be able to add a flap underneath the zipper and solve that problem.

@faerywings - I went back to the gallery and took a look... is the LO with the ring the one of Cait in her bridal gown??? It clicked when I saw her black nails... LOL... Fabulous! So glad you are finally getting some good sleep! Too bad you don't do well with naps - that is what helps me when I have sleepless nights. Oh... a new loveseat!!! When will you get it?? The family deserves something special.

@LSlycord - I forgot to add that Kay is my middle name to my post - I edited the post to put that in. My mom loved the name Kay but Aunt Mary preferred Pat. It never confused me when they each used the different name for me. Good luck on the interview... I am sure you will do very well with it. You are right to get some of the organization in before the job starts.

So happy you gals are enjoying the "My Story" pages. They are so much fun to do. Just uploaded the 3rd LO this morning. BUT... I now have to start scanning in more photos from mom's albums and the boxes of photos. And do a bit of research/guessing on a few others as to dates/where the photos were taken.

@Cherylndesigns so sad that you lost the family photos in the flood in your house years ago. You did a remarkable page without personal photos to tell your story of your first memory! WOW... such a moving story. Hope you get your desktop computer and new monitor soon. I love my large monitor - 27" - widescreen. You are smart to stay with a single monitor since your desktop space is limited.

@taxed4ever Oh, I love your new AVATAR!!! WOW... looking great! Glad you had a good time celebrating your sister's birthday. Of course, you were missed and so happy to see you back with us again.

Time to get my shower and get dressed. Not sure if DD will be coming today or tomorrow so best be ready whichever day it is. CYL

I'm back with a big cup of coffee! #coffee That should definitely get me through the personals!

@faerywings I am so glad that you are getting good sleep now! It's funny how the lack of sleep can change everything! The interviews are all going well...they usually do. But who knows how it will turn out in the end! The interviewing process is extremely convoluted now and the fact that so many companies are letting their PMs work remote means that the pool of candidates for everything is so much larger. It's worth the tradeoff to have that remote work however!

@BrightEyes for many years (until my oldest niece was 15), Brian and I had no kids and we were so invested in my nieces and nephew. As I've been going through photos, it is crazy how many we have. Several of the girls have told us how much they appreciate us multiple times. Glad that you are feeling more like normal! And how fun that your daughter is coming over to get some help on the zipper! That will be great.

@taxed4ever that new avi!!! WOW!!! You look so, so good! I love it! Glad that you enjoyed the tea with your sisters but I'm sure sorry that your one sister is struggling so. Sometimes it makes no sense at all.

@Cherylndesigns that TapATalk sounds interesting. Many years ago I was going to do scrapping on my iPad. I was like you and thought it would make it so much easier when I traveled. I haven't used it and now my iPad is getting old. So do I replace it? I read on the Kindle app a lot on my iPad, so if I don't replace the iPad I will need to buy a Kindle. Decisions, decisions. And I hate the idea of thinking about downsizing but it will happen...so I've been thinking about that while I have been organizing.

@bcgal00 sounds like good news on the computer...hoping that the guys can help you delay the inevitable of making a new computer purchase. For now, pushing off that purchase sounds like it would be great.

Alright everyone. I'm going to turn on my Audible book and get to working on my photo sorting.

Good morning ladies. I love this quiet time in the morning when D is still sleeping, The dogs have been out, had a chew stick and now are quietly resting on the chair and couch, and the TV is off. I get about 15-30 min like this most mornings and then the noise and activity starts, the dogs start to play and want to go outside, then D gets up and puts the TV on.

I had so much fun yesterday at the park, photographing the swans and ducks. It is the closest I have been able to get to them, about 20-30 feet away. A local guy feeds them most days around 1 so now I know the best time to go b/c they come to feed from him.

I'll take the dogs to the park this afternoon before we go to a friend's birthday party for the evening and Jen might come later if she can get off work early. We'll be back home by 10 b/c of the dogs. Bella will not like this, she is a howler, and will sit by the window and cry most of the time but it is good for her to experience being left home and know that we do come back. My two just go to bed until I come home.

Instead of following 2 highways (about 45 min) to get to Westwold (funny name huh?) for the party, I am going to ask D to take a long stretch of country road that winds through the farm land and at the other end will connect up to the second highway about 15 minutes from Westwold, that should increase driving time by about 20 minutes. I hear it is a good area for birding in the spring and I would like him to drive so I can check out the area for ideas on where to come back to in a few months.

@faerywings So glad for you that you got the loveseat. The other one definitely sounds like it needed to be replaced. Bills will always be there for later and as long as you are making ends meet, then getting something special now and then is a good thing, something to enjoy. Scrap a page about your new furniture. I am loving your pages lately.

@LSlycord I'll keep the positive job vibes coming your way.

I'm going to go check out the gallery now and then get on with my day. HAGD everyone.

@BrightEyes Looks like we cross posted this morning. Good for you for getting your tax papers in order already. This year will be easier for us as retirees but still, not looking forward to getting it done. Sorry the car is going to be delayed but not too much so soon you'll have it.

Good Morning everyone! It was so nice to wake up to the sounds of birds chirping outside of our bedroom window! Not sure what kind of birds, but it was lovely to hear! I had fun yesterday making my new avatar, sure wish I looked as good as that program made me look LOL. I used the the profile picture maker that @Veronika posted about in the Scrap Chat forum. My photo was taken on New Years Eve and I really need to get a page made from that evening, we had such a good time! Today will be a running around errand day, grocery shopping and looking for new curtains for my bedroom day. Then later, DH and I are going to SIL Linda’s to remove her garburator as she doesn’t use it and wants more space under her sink when they install her new countertops and sink. I am sure she has a few other things that need to be done too. She keeps her brother busy with chores LOL. (I think he secretly loves it). I hope to get some scrapping done in the afternoon, but we will see how the day goes. I will finish with personals on my computer because I still can’t figure out why my iPadPro won’t access things in this forum grrrr. It won’t let me link to the @ when I try to post peoples names and it won’t let me put smileys on the page when I try to use the link at the top of page. It’s frustrating as the keyboard that I have attached to my iPad is really great and I love using it. Ok off to get another coffee and finish this.

Nineteen degrees out this morning with our first snow, just a dusting, but very pretty.

@faerywings Chris, the vertigo is much better today, just barely dizzy. Will take it easy over the weekend, although I have cleaning to catch up on now and scrapping to do.

@LSlycord Linda, I hope the job interview(s) went well and you find the perfect-for-you job soon.

@BrightEyes Kay, when I had my first vertigo in 2008, the doctor just gave me a prescription. The meds made me so much worse. So, I stopped them and just stayed in bed. Once I was up again I began doing research online on the subject and found maneuvers I can do "to reset the rocks in my ears" that do help, although it still takes me days.

@taxed4ever Glad your sister, Wendy, had a nice birthday. So sad to hear about what your sister, Pam, is going through with her daughters. I love your new Avatar.

@Cherylndesigns My husband was from New York state. When we lived in FL he couldn't figure out why we Floridians thought we were freezing when it was forty degrees out. :) Thanks for the hugs, I'm much better today.

@bcgal00 Rae, I love seeing your bird photos on FB. I love photography, but don't have the patience for bird phtogrphy. I've gotten a few good ones, by accident, but they move so much and fast they drive me nuts when I try capturing them!! :)

Almost time for lunch here, catch you guys later . . .

Well this took much longer than expected LOL!! DH was hungry so we went ahead and had some brunch together. Scrambled eggs, avocado and bratwurst sausages Yummm!!!! We are good until supper time now.

@faerywings - So happy to hear that you are getting the good sleeps that you needed for so long!Yes my poor sister has gone through so much with her daughters, they were always very spoiled and very ungrateful, but I guess that happens when your parents never say no to you. Not sure why my sister raised them like that, we certainly were not raised in that way. Oh well coulda, shoulda, woulda's don't help and its no good to dwell on it is it?! All we can do is be there for her if she needs us, we were like the three amigos when we were little and its so nice to still have that kind of sisterly love!

@LSlycord - hope that the temps warm up a bit and that the wind dies down for you tomorrow, still so nice to be able to look out into the sunshine from your warm office! I will keep my fingers crossed for you that you get the job that you really want! I hope that you get to use the Story templates, I really want to give them a go too!

@BrightEyes - Thanks for the nice comment on my Avatar, wish I really looked that good LOL It was a good photo, but this did it minus all the wrinkles too bad we couldn't do that in real life without it costing a fortune LOL. I am very happy to be back with all of you lovely ladies!! I really did miss my O family!

@bcgal00 - Sounds like your new home is just what you all needed! You will get so much enjoyment from all of the photo walks you will be able to do come spring! Yes Westwold is a funny name, can't say I have ever been there and we have done many, many trips through that area when we would come back to the coast while living in Saskatchewan. How is Jen enjoying her new job?? I hope she is very happy there with you and D and the dogs! Enjoy your quiet time in the house while D is sleeping!

@Betty Jo - How nice to have your first snow of the year! We have had many days with snow, but it never sticks around too long, and now we are experiencing warmer temps. It feels more like spring, too warm for January! The plants will be very confused and might start to bloom soon. Thanks for the nice comment on my Avatar. Like I said before, I wish I looked that good LOL.

Ok DH is ready to get going with the errands etc. So off we go. Have a great day everyone!

@taxed4ever Yes, any program that removes the wrinkles is a good one :) Your avi is gorgeous! Jen loves working with the dogs but in the spring she will either go back to school or find another job that has benefits. She has no dental and she is going to need caps soon which is going to be really expensive. Also getting prescription coverage will be a benefit for her too. So, as much as she loves that job, its not practical to stay long term. The owner is getting older and quite likely will have to close the business in the next few years, so it could not be a long term position.

How are you doing on keto? I ended up going back to keto and as much as I liked the idea of a plant based diet, my body didn't like it and I kept gaining weight, so getting back to keto is dropping the weight fast and I feel better, so keto it is. Have you made chaffles? I got a cookbook and am going to give that a try soon. I like the idea of mini pizza chaffles.

Good afternoon all!

I'm super late getting on here but we've been out and about since about 11:30 this morning. I was just doing my morning hanging out and Adrienne called and asked us to go to Nancy's for lunch at 11:30. Chuck was just waiting for the Indiana Hoosiers basketball to come on so he declined. They're one of his teams - he's not like a lot of men who will watch whatever sports is on - he has his favorites and Indiana and Notre Dame plus any of the Detroit teams are on his list.

Adrienne, Roger and I went to Nancy's - Saturday is meatloaf day. I may not eat again for the rest of the day - meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans. I rarely eat much during the day and never that early, so I'll probably pay for it but it was delicious. Rog went back home, and Adrienne and I headed to Walmart. To top it off, she wanted to drive through Starbucks and talked me into a caramel macchiato - why not, right???

Chris @faerywings how exciting about your NEW loveseat!!! Can't wait to see pictures - when do you get it? Or were you able to bring it home? Adrienne and I went into a local furniture store for a minute and they have a chair I drooled over - this is the second time we've been in there. It's just cloth (which the cat would destroy) and it has dogs all over it. I went nuts over it until I saw the price - $700!!! Trust me, it's not that cute. It's just a little upright cloth chair - nothing great.

That Tap A Talk is so hand - I just love it. It's so easy to keep up with discussions on the board, answer PM's, look at the gallery, etc.

Linda @LSlycord Steph says they're freezing in Ft. Myers, too. That's COLD!!! It's a little warmer there, but not much - dang - anything below 50 is frigid. Yes, you'll probably want to downsize some day - maybe not though. We had rooms in our big house that were not ever really used. I spent most of my time in my office/scraptoom and had 3 desks in there! I could have had 4 monitors. I think I'm going to start reading on my iPad - it's so much bigger than my Kindla. I'm like you - I would get a new Kindle if they made them bigger. I'm thinking they used to have bigger ones. I have the Paperwhite, which I love for the backlit feature. Apparently, they have the patent on the backlighting - I can't figure out WHY Apple doesn't get it - I cannot see anything on my phone in the sunlight. Apparently, they can't get that patent, I don't know.

Chris @faerywings I know what you mean about a clean desk - mine looks like a bomb went off on it right now. I am going to get it cleaned up today. I'm so much more productive when my desk is clean. No, there's no way I could have two monitors - but it is what it is. I'd probably really be claustrophobic with two on my desk.

Trudy @taxed4ever your avi looks amazing, dahling!!! I'd best go and look at that app that was posted. You're busy bees and I want to see pics from your NYE - I just posted a page on FB from the party. I need to get a second one posted today.

Betty Jo @Betty Jo I'm so glad to hear that your vertigo is better today. I hate when I have that. I have a slight bit of it occasionally, but a big attack would take me down, too.

Kay @BrightEyes you're so productive and I know how good you must feel getting all of that paperwork done. Sorry to hear that your car is delayed. Adrienne waited forever to get hers, then we had to drive to Arkansas to get it. Yes, it sucks that I lost so many of my pictures. I'm glad you liked my montage, though. Karen suggested that I find a picture on Pixabay and I ended up merging 3 of them into one. That baby actually looks like I might have looked at that age.

Rae @bcgal00 I love reading about your walks, drives, all of your adventures and your time spent with the dogs.

Before I go, you girls won't believe our visitors today. We don't even know where they came from, but there are lots of farms around here. Three of the sweetest goats were making the rounds - they started at Ava's, then went to Adrienne's then came here. Adrienne called me and told me to get outside because they were coming. There were also two dogs with the goats - it was the cutest thing I ever saw! Now, we all want goats. The biggest one was head-butting our porch post. SO funny! We didn't get pictures of the dogs, but Adrienne grabbed this shot of them standing outside of their house. They just came right up the front porch.

On that cuteness note, happy Saturday!

Oh man, I am so soooooo late here. In my defense, I spent much of the last hour working on my food shopping list
I gotta say it again, I LOOOOOOOVE sleep!! I had no idea how badly I was sleep deprived until I have been able to sleep again. I almost feel guilty, bouncing out of bed while Gary spent another night on the couch because of his restless legs.

I am glad I was feeling energetic because I fought with the steam cleaner for 2 hours and unfortunately, the steam cleaner won.
The cleaner is old and the last time I used it in the fall, the bucket was leaking. I found a replacement bucket online and got that. Something isn't sitting right on the machine and it sucks up the water, then loses the suction. I can't tell you how many times I tried to reset the machine, but it took me two hours to work on a 5x10' area of the rug. Now we need to start looking for a new machine. The way my house is set up, there is no actual entryway, you walk directly into the LR. Between that and the dogs' muddy feet and Jaida with her sensitive stomach, a steam cleaner is a necessity.

I made onion soup last night and we watched Derry Girls with Caitlyn. It's very funny but there is no way I could watch it without subtitles. I know they are speaking English but the accents and phrases make it impossible to follow :D We probably should have used subtitles when we watched Peaky Blinders, it always took me a couple of episodes for my ear to get tuned to their accents.

My "big" plans today are to learn how to best use a new app that I bought- its called Paprika and I wrote about it in this post: https://oscraps.com/community/threads/whats-for-supper-at-your-house-tonight.36931/post-652554
I have another page I am working on for the AJ challenge.
Caitlyn and Tom are off to look at a wedding venue this afternoon. It's an Elks Lodge about an hour away from here. I feel so bad, they are really having a rough time finding something close to their budget that also can work with a vegan menu. Even taking out the vegan menu they can't seem to find anything under $150 a plate. They really don't want to start married life in debt over one day, no matter how important the day is.

Posting this now and on to personals

Good morning from cold (36*), but sunny, Florida. This is the end of the cold spell...looking at the weather forecast for the next few weeks, I think that winter is over and we are now in springtime. LOL I'm definitely not used to this even after living here for 3 1/2 years. But when I talk to folks back home, I do forget that they are in winter. The mind is a funny thing!

Today is more boxes. I've gone back to some of the original boxes that I had sorted through and taken out all of the pictures. I have them now sorted into 12 boxes and by subject and timeframe. This will be great for scrapping purposes as well as the long term goal of scanning all of these.

Sydney went to a friend's place last night for Ramen noodles. And, she said that no one there knew anything about this week's career fair. She was appalled! She spent yesterday afternoon looking at a specialization within her major of packaging. She is going to a meeting on Tuesday night where three different companies are presenting their internship and co-op opportunities. With co-op you take a semester off and you do work instead but you get some college credits. I told her to go find out more about that. These companies are from Downers Grove, IL...a Chicago suburb so I'm sure that you spend every dime you make living there while working. Nevertheless, something to look into. Would be a great resume builder.

@BrightEyes I am so envious of you with your tax information all gathered and ready to go. Ours should be pretty straightforward but it's just the whole thing with gathering stuff and getting it done. I'll probably do the taxes for both Sydney and Shaun as well. Theirs are really simple but again, one more thing for the to do list.

@Cherylndesigns love your avi! Did you use the same program that Trudy did? I need to go take a look at that! I love that the goats came to visit! That made me laugh for sure. And I 100% agree, why can't Apple figure out a technology like Kindle has on the Paperwhite? So it's patented...figure out a different technology. Because, I agree, I can't see a thing when I get out into the sunshine on my iPhone or my iPad.

@faerywings I was actually thinking when I came in here that it was nice to see you not be here yet...because it means that you are getting some much needed sleep. Poor Cait and Tom...$150 a plate is really, really steep, even with a small wedding. Is that a sit down dinner? Would a buffet help? I'll go check out the post for your new app. Always looking for new apps...LOL!

@taxed4ever sounds like you had a good day. Was your hubby able to take care of SIL's task list? I bet it does make him happy (secretly) to be able to do things for her.

@bcgal00 our Hayden is like Bella. We leave and she just howls...because we got her right before Covid, we were always home when she was and she didn't get used to us being gone. I agree, the quiet time in the morning was always my favorite. Now I seem to sleep in and lose that time.

@Betty Jo glad that you are continuing to feel better. Hope today is another good day!

((hugs)) to all of you.

@LSlycord Your temps are only slightly higher than here, I can't imagine that your houses are built for that kind of cold.
Good luck with all of your interviews coming up!

@BrightEyes That's fantastic you are almost back to normal!
It is in my head to say don't push yourself. I am truly a broken record LOL Hmm, now I wonder what term kids use since most of them wouldn't have much experience with records.
That's a bummer about the car delivery being delayed. *fingers crossed it doesn't get pushed back any further*
I was telling Caitlyn yesterday that I posted the LO of her dress. Told her that no one would even be able to tell it was her, thought about her black nails, and figured-- yup they might know Haha!!
The loveseat is scheduled to come on Thursday and oh man, I am soooo excited!!

@bcgal00 IKWYM about noise from dogs/TVs/DHs -- Yesterday Gary found a video on YouTube of AI-generated art set to the entire Pink Floyd albums of Dark Side of the Moon and Echoes. It was really neat to watch- for a few minutes *G*- but he had it so loud I could barely think and I love Pink Floyd . I am getting too old.;)
The ducks and swan photos looked really cool, I didn't realize how close you were! Be careful, swans will attack for no reason.
How was the party, and more importantly, the roads on the way? Will it be a good place to see/photograph the birds?

@taxed4ever I redid my avatar too! I went to look at the post by Veronika and decided to spruce mine up. I don't think it looks like me though. But thank you for sharing it, it was fun flipping through the different effects and backgrounds.
OMG, I missed hearing about all of the stuff you did with your Gary every weekend, he hasn't changed in the last few months -- still a taskmaster LOL!!!

@Betty Jo That's a relief that the vertigo is better. I am sorry that I can't remember if there was a cause for it or just one of those things. My dad has Meniere's and gets vertigo b/c of that and I know how miserable it makes him as well as how it can come out of the blue. One second you are standing, the next second you are flying in circles until you hit the ground.
What maneuvers help? Nothing other than a low-sodium diet has helped him but I know he would love to find a way to minimize it.

@Cherylndesigns your new avi is awesome too! You had a nice day out and about, hope that your stomach felt fine and not too full :D
Thank you- and *all* of you- for being excited with me about the new loveseat ♥ It seems like such a silly thing for me to be over the moon about, but it's really exciting!! The chair sounds adorable with the doggy print. We lucked out that we found the loveseat on sale on Amazon and got free shopping so we saved a lot more than if we bought it from Ashely. It was still more than I wanted to spend but Gary kept telling me that if we looked for anything cheaper it will be destroyed in no time.
Hope you got your desk cleaned up. My next thing to straighten up/clear off is the island in the kitchen. When I deep cleaned before the holidays, I took everything off of it and my kitchen immediately looked so much bigger.

GOATS!!!!!! I love the goats!!!! I wish we could get goats, little baby ones. Or maybe some potbelly pigs. Or both.
But what a fun picture and experience- have you scrapped it yet?

xoxoxo

Morning, gals. Woke up again at 4 AM but rolled over and slept until 6. Glad for the extra 2 hours of sleep even with the crazy dream about Aunt Mary! Guess because I have been chatting about her lately, she showed up in my dream. ;) It is 41*F but is only suppose to get to 44* then falling as a cold front is moving in. Rain... and maybe a few snow showers then changing to snow on Tuesday. Not alot of snow but it will be back to more seasonal winter temps most of this week.

I really need to think about changing my Avi and siggy here soon now that the holidays are over. May have to set up the laptop and get a few new selfies taken. LOL I don't take photos with my cell phone so the laptop is the only way I get them done.

DD did not make down yesterday so expect her this afternoon. Had a call from sister yesterday. She will be flying home on Monday - just hope the weather stays clear enough that her flights go okay (east coast to Austin to Amarillo). Also heard from niece that her plans may change and she might be coming here near the end of this month. Hope it works out as I miss her.... been almost a year now.

Chris, so sorry the steam cleaner is giving you fits!!! DD#1 has to use hers frequently because of the dogs.... Sorry that you may have to buy a new one. Yep... those black nails are the big clue that is Cait in the photo! Tell her not to worry as we can only see just a bit of the lace around the neckline... not enough to see the details of the gown. Be sure and take a photo of the new loveseat when it arrives... so excited for you.

The maneuvers to "reset the rocks in the ear" that I was taught is to sit on the side of bed facing forward with feet on the floor, Then slowly lay the upper body to right until on the bed while still facing forward, count to 10, slowly sit back up-right, count to 10, then slowly lay upper body to left, count to 10 and return to upright. Repeat this several times. The key is slow movement in changing positions while keeping the body and head facing forward and feet on the floor. (It is okay if the feet lift slightly while doing this.) I repeat this until I can feel the dizziness start to fade. Sometime I have to do it several times during the day if the vertigo is bad. If it is mild, it usually only takes 1 or 2 sessions to get it to fade away.

Out of coffee... back in a few.

I'm back...

Wow, @LSlycord ... that is cold for FL! Brrr... Good luck to Syd on the career interviews. You are so right about the cost of living in Chicago area - out of sight. DD#2 and hubby were so glad to move from there to MO.

@bcgal00 I saw your geese and ducks photos on FB!!! Great shots of them. Sorry to hear that Jen's job doesn't have medical/dental benefits. Hope she can find a job that will have them. Glad she survived the trip to the coast and back... must have been scary driving through the mountain pass during the storm.

@Betty Jo Glad your vertigo is fading away and you are feeling better. Hope you will be back to normal soon so we can hear you more often.

@Cherylndesigns You and the girls are always have fun during your get-togethers. And somehow they always seem to morph into shopping trips, too! LOL

@tanteva Are you okay?? Haven't heard from you for awhile.

Time to get dressed and see if I can figure out what to do for my siggy. Will worry about the Avi later on. HAGD

Good afternoon all.

I'm glad you all liked my goats pic! Adrienne said she never heard me giggle as much as I did. I had my air pod in my ear and was talking to her on the phone when the goats trotted down to our house. It was just delightful to see the three of them with those two big dogs. Adrienne just sent me this picture of the goats with the dogs. The dog in the back (kind of hard to see) is a Great Pyrénées and he's been up here before. He must have wanted to bring his friends back. Alyssa ran right out and they just gathered around her.

Chris @faerywings I used that profile avi maker Trudy used. t was SO much fun to use. Adrienne took this picture of me the other night when we went out to dinner. She wanted me to wear my cowboy hat and wear my hair down. The picture was pretty good on it's own, but that app just pumped it up. It's almost like that old app "Cartoon Yourself". It's not free, of course - I have it free for three days, then I think it's $7.99 a month. UGH I might just make a bunch of avis in the next two days. Like binge-watching on a free trial. Hahaha

Linda @LSlycord I'm SO like you - why can't Apple - in all their glory - invent their own technology that you can see in the sunlight??? I get so mad whenever I'm trying to see anything on my phone!

Kay @BrightEyes you're so right - everything turns into a shopping adventure with us. Of course, we had to "run in" to that furniture story on the way to Walmart. LOL Adrienne had bought an animal skin rug the other day - it's very cool, but just didn't look right in their bedroom. We had it all laid out on the floor in the store measuring it. Anyhoo, we went back in there yesterday so she could return it. They wouldn't take it back - said they had told her that; they hadn't, because I was standing right there. She was NOT happy but she held her composure. Says she's sending Roger back to deal with it. He's the one who didn't like it. HA! Never a dull moment.

.I'd better get off of here now. I just got this picture and had to add it to my post.

XOXO

Oh girls - if you download that Avi Maker App - I just got a notice from Apple and it's $7.99 a WEEK - not a month!!! I deleted it immediately, but still have it for 2 more days. What a rip-off!!

@tanteva Are you okay?? Haven't heard from you for awhile.

Thanks for asking. I'm semi ok, still have some pain in my ear from time to time. But mainly I'm quiet cuz it's been a busy couple of weeks. Working 2 days per week again, and there's been other things going on. I basically just pop in here to check my notifications ans skim a little here and there. Hopefully life will slow down a bit soon. As if. LOL

A word of caution about some of the Avi apps...(I am not saying this is one of these)... but some unscrupulous ones take the photo you use to create a cartoon or spiff up your photo and then use it to highjack your Identity - pretending to be you on some social media sites. A family member had that happen to her after using one of the sites.
