Happy Weekend!

Did everyone enjoy their Friday and get to sleep in a bit this morning? I did, at least a little later than usual. But I still ended up being out of bed by 6 to get the dogs outside.
It will be very interesting to see how my body reacts to the weather today. The temps are dropping like a stone. It was 66* yesterday and it is down to 24* right now. It was a bit misty this at 6 am outside, but when I went to take W back out just now, it has fallen below freezing and all of the wetness is ice. Poor little W! She started trotting out, hit some of the ice and then skidded. I am glad that she did because I would have been on my butt if I hadn't stepped back. I think she is very confused about where all of her snow/ice chunks went. Hehe!

I called my mom first thing yesterday and she thought she was meeting me for lunch on Saturday which is why she hadn't called me the day before. Cait had plans on Sat so she came up yesterday. So you know how I always say how much I love my kids and how amazing they are? I think that my mom says and feels that *almost* as much as I do. Both of them came with us to lunch and I think my mom pretty much sat there saying that to them and how happy they make her. Needless to say, it made me really happy too. I am truly blessed. Can't say it enough. My family is my world and that world is *good.*

Gary and I watched the Letterman/Obama show on Netflix last night and OMG- I wanted to cry. What a difference in leadership. In humanity. SMH. I really and truly miss him and Michelle. What genuine love they have for their family and for our country. And how far we have fallen. The irony of seeing him speak of Michelle and his DDs and watching his face light up hours after the news breaking that the ** paid a porn star hush money to cover up an "encounter" while married to Melania. :frusty:

:yell: :tape:

I ordered a new Fitbit on Thursday and it came in yesterday I love Amazon Prime. It will be good for me to keep a better eye on my HR again. Today I am not planning on doing much of anything. If I don't take time today to rest I will regret it all next week.

Kibs is still the same as she has been. No more jaundiced than before but no better either. :(
Clove is doing great!

And I am off to eat some leftover whole-grain and walnut pancakes for my breakfast :hungry:
have a fab day!

Trudy- what a nice time you had with your friend! You must have been encouraging her with your weight loss and diet and maybe that will help her too.
Good for you to see your friend instead of cleaning cupboards, that must have been a tough decision haha!!!!

Rae- what a pretty LO and message for B. I hope that your visit is perfect and that she is coming along well. Thinking of all of you

Jean- oh no! That stinks about the snow and ice by you. I am hoping that the bad weather passed you by, I mean, you never know? Stay warm and safe!
The trivia game sound fun if difficult. I am terrible at trivia seeing that I can't remember what I said the day before LOL

Felis- I am happy that Friday was a good day! And may the rest of your weekend the same.
I was thinking about boiling up some chicken for Heather. I don't know if I have any in the freezer. If I don't I will get some on Monday when I go shopping.

Morning O-zies... so foggy and grey out today, but the temps are mild and I am thinking of you Chris, Nancy and Jean. I hope that your temps don't drop too much more today, how awful that you are getting yet another blast of winter cold weather! Not sure what it is supposed to do outside today, still haven't checked our weather channel. Not much happening this weekend, the usual of running a few errands and getting some groceries I guess. I have another hiking page to load to the gallery today and perhaps work a bit on another page for one of the other challenges. It will be a quiet weekend. Looking forward to getting my new washer and dryer next week (hopefully the 16th)

Chris - You do have the best kids ever!! You are very blessed indeed and I can imagine that your Mom's heart is full of love for your kiddos! You have raised them well my friend! I did end up cleaning out my pantry yesterday, it was good to throw out a bunch of items that had long since expired, or have never been used and never will be used. Next will be the rest of the kitchen cupboards, they just need to cleaned and organized a bit better. It really does feel good to get it done! I have to make myself finish a cookbook that I am working on also, I started one a while back for all my Keto recipes and it sure will be nice to have them all in one book and easy to access! I just have to stop putting it off. I am such a time waister :becky: I think that my Gary and I will watch that Netflix Letterman/Obama show tonight, it really does look good! It is sad the way things have changed since he left the office of the President and now you have this fool for a president! :tape: don't get me started LOL.

Rae - I just love your wonderful page that you did for "B" She will love it for sure also! Have a wonderful visit to Bowen Island and give her a hug from all of us here!

Jean - Sorry that your weather has taken another turn for the worse, but better to be inside and warm than out on those treacherous roads!

Felis- So happy that you are in a happy mood for this weekend! How wonderful that you found a new kit to scrap with, I will have to check out your most recent page! I am not sure what is going on with my health right now, but I will get back to the dr. soon and tell her that things still are not quite right with me yet. I still have a couple more days of the anti-biotic to take so I will wait and see how I feel when they are finished. Nothing too horribly painful or anything like that, just something is not quite right down there :becky: Not something that anyone wants to hear about I am sure! Too much information?? LOL

Nancy - Are you ok?? I am starting to worry about you also! Or are you on a wonderful trip somewhere with your sister? Perhaps on a beach in tropics? If so can we join you??

Ok off to make some poached eggs for DH and then I better hit the shower and get on with the day. Have a wonderful one my friends!

good morning - whew it has been like some force has been keeping me from posting. My DH has been leaving later and later or not at all so that took up some mornings and then yesterday worse of all just as I was starting the power went out in our town. It was widespread as I later learned from my girlfriend who was at work in the next town also lost power. I then heard that Newark Airport also lost power in one terminal. It took them just over an hour and a half to get it back on which was pretty quick. But because lights were out there was an accident on one of the town's busiest streets not far from me. I hate not having power. But on the good side my son came home so so happy. He works for Lexmark who has been negotiating a contract extension with UBS to continue maintaining their scanner, printers etc. Well they got a six year extension so he feels secure in his job for six more years so he is so relieved. As of course are we. But that was not his best news. They reorganized the group and my son got a promotion. He was also recognized for the job he has done in making improvements to the call in procedure. So I am a very proud momma. Today hockey for the Devils begins again tonight. My team plays the Philly Flyers. They need a win and the next games are not going to be easy but then no game is easy. It will be fun to be back at a hockey game. Then tomorrow the Devils are holding an open practice for fans and then an autograph signing session. That will be fun!

Chris glad that the pain has decreased. And this weather is crazy. So warm with rain and all our snow is gone. Then back to sun and arctic temperatures. Stay warm and I am glad you did not fall on the ice. It is wonderful to have great family relationships. And yes our President has sunk so low that I did not think he could go lower and yet he continues to set the bar lower. But the worst is that the rest of the GOP is not speaking out.

Felis thanks for worrying but life has just been getting in the way. Glad you had a nice day with your aunt. And how fun to get a new scrap kit. It does start one creative juices flowing.

Trudy how fun to get together with your girlfriend and catch up. Always fun to hear of a new baby on the way. So glad that Heather is doing so well and Hunter sounds like a great baby. Saw your page on FB with the creek hike. It looked so beautiful! Hope your weather gets better.

Rae that page for Bailey is just lovely. It is a motto we can all live by! Love the colors. Hope you get to visit and it goes well!

Jean so glad you were able to move the lecture. I would not be driving in that weather. I saw that the Columbus Blue Jackets did not have a full arena as the weather was so bad. How you thaw fast!

Have a great day all!

Well, the weather wasn't perhaps quite as bad as predicted and I probably could have gone this morning OK, but it wasn't really nice and this way I didn't have to worry last night and DH was also relieved as he would have fretted a lot. Birds are very active at the feeder and a Cooper's Hawk was just by (but everyone else had ducked by then so it moved on.) And since I was "free as a bird" last night, I managed to write a draft of the intro to an article that is my number one priority for this year. So hurray for that! Next up, I guess tonight, is going down to single digits. This weekend we'll be watching football and working on the trivia puzzle. Oh, and a jigsaw puzzle. I got out one from two years ago that I love as it is so colorful of a Kandinsky painting.

Felis, love that you were on the up side Friday and hopefully today. Nice to have the visit and get a deal on a new digi kit. You've made a great start on the weeklies too. I started my week one but didn't like what I was doing and plan to start over. Yikes, now week two is ending. Uh-oh.

Chirs, wonderful that you all had lunch with mom and she made you all feel good. Keep warm, lady, and no falling on the ice! I'm going to stay away from the political side today or I will :puke:

Trudy, not much happening for the weekend sounds like us too and not a bad thing I think. Hope you will get back to the Dr. soon unless there's a big improvement. Love the LO from your hike.

Nancy, good luck to the Devils tonight. You can be happy that the Blue Jackets lost to Buffalo yesterday. Congrats big time for your son. Bummer about the power outage. Do you know the cause. Was it weather related maybe. To you also, keep warm.

Rae, hope it's good weekend for all. Thanks for mentioning the crack slaw dinner. I now have some ingredients to try that next week.

Cheers, all.

I have had a long weekend due to the ice storm.

I am spending my time going through my digi stash for the first time since I started in 2005 and putting previews in OneNote and adding tag words so I can find stuff! This is something I've needed to do FOREVER. It is amazing how I thought I was so organized but I see stuff that needs to be gone through and organized. For instance, collabs I like to take the previews and TOU's and put them in one folder, but apparently I did not start that practice until 2014.

I am deleting a lot of stuff too. I have never deleted before.

I started out with almost 300 designer name folders! I organize by designer name.

Good morning. Just a quick hello from me, Not having a good weekend. Kibs isn't doing well. I noticed yesterday morning that she seemed a bit more yellow and she isn't eating much of anything. To get her an u/s at the specialist hospital will cost a fortune. I was in contact with a person from at my vet's office that has a hospice out of her home for cats with feline leukemia and I asked her some advice. She is going to see if there will be any mobile u/s techs coming into the office soon since that will be less expensive. She said to try baby food chicken so I am going to run out in a bit to buy some of that.
But it isn't looking good. I can use any good thought you have for her. And for Cait, she is taking this hard, naturally, and she lashes out at me. We got into a brawl yesterday, I knew it was happening but we were both too emotional to stop it.

But still wanted to come and wish you all a happy day!

Chris, maybe is time to mention to your vet that this cat hunt and have risk of poison or toxin. Between the hunt and reaction have too long time to suspect that before, and also age make more possible senior disease of the liver. But if she stop respond to you, don't react when talk to it like is not there, especially stop eat at all (just a few bites are normal for sick animals), it is worth checking out every possibility.
Please be patient with Caitlin, she don't think really what she say. Emotional reaction will hurt you both and you'll needs support one each other now.
I hug you strong, dear! ::grouphug

Good morning, ladies. Enjoyed the short ferry ride over to Bowen Island. I brought a 50 mm lens which was small and lightweight to fit into my purse and snapped some pics on the ferry and the shoreline. Cameras are not allowed at the center but I took a few pics when we went for a walk together. We got home around 8:30 last night (delayed about 40 min b/c of an accident on the bridge that held up traffic) and were exhausted. It was a good day of sessions at the center. We had a great lunch, they had numerous salads and toppings with so many dressings and sauces. The only thing that didn't fit into my diet was the dessert but I had a few mouthfuls of sour cherries and left the chocolate mousse and parfait for D and B. We had brought Taz with us so we went out at every break to let him out of the van to run around. B loved the framed AJ page.

Today I have desk work and some other chores to do so will be busy all morning. Maybe later this afternoon I can get a scrap page done. I feel like I've not had much "me" time lately.

Chris - sorry to hear about Kibs. Hugs.

Trudy - enjoy your quiet day and getting some scrapping done.

Felis - I was thinking of you this morning, about yoga. I'm going to follow along with a short yoga session later this afternoon.

Nancy - yes, I hate when the power goes out too and it happens too often around here. Good news about your son's job!

Jean - our feeder is very busy now too. We've gotten some new birds this winter we haven't had before which is fun to see.

Hummie - good for you for organizing your digi stash. It's always a daunting task but so worthwhile to sort out what you want or don't want.

Have a great day, everyone. I have lots to do so am getting off the computer for awhile.

We may have cold and snow, but the sun is shining and that makes so much difference. Going to the library soon and hope to find more movies to bring home. We actually watched four I brought home two weeks ago.

Gwen, congrats on doing such a daunting task as deleting. I'm afraid I'm never going to get around to better organizing.

Chris, don't know what to say about Kibs, but hang in there and don't take it to heart from Cait.

Felis, good words for Chris! Hope your day has gone well.

Rae, sounds like the visit to B was really good. Wonderful she appreciated the AJ page (which is so beautiful). Fun having more birds at the feeders.

Trudy, hope you are doing OK today.

Nancy, sorry Devils lost, hope your practice session is/was fun.

Hello again ladies,
It was a busy but nice weekend here. Usual things as you know the bigger weekly cleaning, grocery, and ect. weekend things. But we also have a snow *finally*, :smow: yey!

Rae, I'm so happy that my expectations was wrong and the center is cosy place instead of my idea for cold and official clinic! Sometimes I feels good when I'm wrong! :) Oh, even Taz is came, so sweet! I'm so happy that things are start to arranged good for your family, dear! Hope you found time for yoga, especially when you are so overwhelmed and no "me" time. I was take a break for the weekend, because of too many things that I don't have enough time at the weekend, but back to the exercises from Monday.

Jean, I was wondering about your weekly pages, because I'm so alone at the thread, but stopped to ask because I don't want to pressure you. Previous year I also start later, it doesn't really matter. I hope you found the movies that you wanted! I remember you not a fan of the popular comedies :) . Looks like you are have busy weekend too! It's not surprising that you start to work on new article at the weekend, but hope you took some "me" time too! Oh, and I like Kandinsky too.

Cheryl, congrats for the hard work! Reorganizing my digitals is something I must do this year too.

Nancy, congrats to your son! What a good news, indeed! It's always good to see that your work is appreciated. Huh, we also lost power few times this winter when weather is bad, so my dad bought one lantern on battery, it's not a good feeling to be on dark just on the middle of something, especially when nights come so early at the winter. Hope you don't have more problems with that! So great that you are have chance to spend more time at the mornings with your husband!

Trudy, the hiking pages are wonderful! I hope the cupboards organisation didn't take you too much time! This for the cookbook sounds so cool! Did you'll print it or it is only digital? After I put so much time to make these yoga cards, I start considering to print them. PhotoBox have a Photo Journal which looks like notebook and will be cool for future notes, or Mini Book in pocket size will be sweet too. But I'm not received any mails with deals and coupons from them this year?! Don't worry I'm a fan of Dr. Oz and no medical info could be too much for me. :D Hope the the anti-biotic helped!

Which brings me back to Chris, I praying hard my suspicions to are wrong once again today, and after Rae you to come back with good news too! Many hugs, dear!

And till we speak for politic I have to share that French MEP saw message who neglects the dangerous of sexual harassment, into the official video advertisement of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU Presidency. Sadly, but the idea of authors is not good presented and could be interpreted wrong. It's not pleasant people to think that can come here and found easy girls. We already have one resort where tourists comes because of the cheap alcohol. I can't understand why the creative team of this commercial are been so insensitive to something so serious, especially after #metoo won the Person of the Year prize. And the government is paid for this without to edit it.
