So ya know how I said yesterday that I wasn't "deep cleaning?" Raise your hand if you didn't actually buy that. :high5:
I didn't move the stove or anything like that, but I did use an old toothbrush to clean all of the build-up inside the dishwasher. *wink* I hadn't cleaned, other than wiping everything down in the kitchen, since right before Christmas so the dust was thick.

The babies are doing so well. Evangeline already has a nickname that is going to stick. we have been calling her Geli, and to an extent- Geli Belly. But she is the *tiniest* little thing and Cait says that the "Belly" part will have to wait until she *has* a belly. She is calling her Geli Bean. So darn cute.
We were working on a puzzle and she keeps the babies in a fleece bag she made for the older girls last year. Literally wears them in a pouch around her neck. Yet would my DD consider having kids of her own (human children, that is) someday? As of right now, not at all. (can't say I blame her either)

Not much is happening here today. I have a few things to clean/get ready for tomorrow and then I need to make the spinach strata tonight since that needs to "soak" overnight. I have never made one of these before so I am curious how it will turn out. It is eggs/Frech bread/cheese/spinach with shallots and white wine. It sounds like it will taste good based on ingredients. But as Scott says, cheese, eggs, and broccoli sound great together but put them in a quiche and he hates it.

have a terrific weekend O-zies!

Nancy- guess the Devils couldn't keep their winning streak going to well. Sorry they lost to the *Rangers* of all teams. haha. See, that is one of my issues with crocheting anything more difficult than a scarf and why I could never knit. I would get too distracted and too many mistakes, you are very smart to know when to put it down.
That is bad news about your furnace. I hope it gets fixed over the weekend while it is warm at least.

Rae- I saw the photo of the bird in the snow this morning on FB and knew that you had to have been happy with it even if it was only a dusting.
Were you able to get any info or repairs done with your PVR? we are having a hellish time too. The audio doesn't sync with the video on the DRV and it makes me crazy. No matter what we have tried, it still is "off." ATT TV apparently knows about this issue too and yet, there is still no fix. :mmph: Good luck!!
That makes me so happy to hear, that B likes the rats' pages. There will be lots more coming, pics too.

Trudy- what a sweet boy Hunter is-- I have this image of him hiding with you on the tablet and it makes my heart smile so much!! And to be shhh-ing you. I love it!
I am 100% jealous of your pretty feet. :D Your day with your sisters sounds very fun and relaxing. Hot Springs!! Now I am doubly-jealous!! You and your Gary deserve it!

Kay- if you are here before I am-- *please* go ahead and start a thread. This thread belongs to all of us, not me-- so don't ever feel like you are stepping on my toes. I open it since I am an east coast insomniac :pound:
Will you STOP teasing me about all of your avocados!!!
I really hope that when we get that new grocery store in town that they have a better produce section than ShopRite. The avocados there are always terrible and expensive. I am happy that you are enjoying yours.
Yikes, there must have been a lot of stuff in that LO to go back and find. I hate it when I do that.
Stay warm today!

Karen and Felis- I hope you are both feeling better. Waving Hi to Jean and everyone too!

Morning ladies... a sunny blue patch of morning sky this morning! Wonder hwo long it will last? We are supposed to be getting wind warnings today, so there will be Ferry cancellations I am sure! Glad we are not heading out to Harrison Hot Springs until the 20th! Expecting this wind to bring in a real cold snap too! Brrr!! Our usual busy Saturday of grocery shopping and doing a few other errands. DH needs to find some new rollers for the crappy pocket door on our on-suite. Yes we still have not fixed it and I was really hoping that he would have just gotten a new door, but nooo we have to try everything else first. I have a feeling that this is just going to be a waste of money :mmph: Oh well it will keep him busy this weekend and out of my hair LOL. I finally got my facebook business page up , however I am totally confused with it! I think that maybe it needs to be an artist page and not a business page. I really need to buckle down and read about it more! Anyway I hope that it will produce some sales for me or at least get a commission or two. I poured some coasters yesterday and hope to get them resined today and will put them in my facebook shop right away. I have to get a card made soon for my grand- niece Bella and I really would love to do some scrapping!! I have been so bad for not getting any pages completed. I start them and then get distracted, so today I will try to focus and get one finished!

Chris - Of course you did some deep cleaning! We would not expect anything less of you! :pound: So nice that the rat babies are doing well and what cute names you have picked out for them! I will be jealous of you when you are on your cruise!! I would much rather do something like that, but this is a good little mini vacation for us too! Just less expensive to stay in our own province and country! All this talk about avocados, I have to tell you that I have a half of one every single day! I love them and yes they are expensive, so I try to buy the big bags of them at Costco and when they are getting to be ripe I plop them in the fridge and they stay good for a long time yummy!! :hungry: they help to keep me feeling full for most of the day.

Hope that Karen and Felis are feeling better today! Hello Jean! I am sure you are very busy with your genealogy and other fun things!

Well DH is wanting to get busy and get going with our day, so off I go to the shower. Have a wonderful Saturday everyone!

good morning - well today we walked Luther as it is 64 degrees. I walked 1.8 miles and according to my watch we walked 59 minutes and 56 seconds if I had known I would have walked for 4 more seconds LOL. It is just nice and partly sunny but there is a lot of wind. Luther was excellent as we passed several dogs he did not bark. Today is hockey and my team is playing the Washington Capitals the best team in the NHL at this point. My poor team. My son was to get blood taken but forgot to set alarm and then he had to take car to auto body shop for repair. They close on Sat at noon and he left at 11:10. But I did not say a word no matter how much I think he should have been there sooner. So then he calls me and says that the shop need more info than the screen shots I sent him. But I did it through email so they got what they needed. Why does this seem so hard? The appt is not until Feb 10. Oh well. My pipes are not fixed but I have a new water heating that I did not know I needed. LOL. But the hot water is good and knowing that I have a water heater that did not leak all over my basement before I knew I had to change it is good. He also worked on the furnace so that was really good.

Chris loved the page with the new babies and how sweet that B loves your pages. That is too interesting that Cait keeps them around her neck. Hope the puzzle is going well.

Trudy what a cute story about Hunter and hide and seek. How fun to have pretty feet. I really need to get that done myself. Have fun at the Hot Springs. My girlfriends and I are going to Sedona for a girls week. I love this part of AZ so I cant wait to go. That will be awesome for you to head to the kids this summer!

Rae how great that B loved the pages with the rats. Sorry about the your cable company. I guess I have learned to use on demand if I miss something instead of recording. I hope that works. Have fun this weekend at the refuge taking photos.

Kay I love guac. You are lucky to have them so available. When visiting my sister we once were at a restaurant and they made the best guac at the table. I have never had better. Enjoy yours!

Have a great day all!

Crazy day here, gray and windy, and...in the 60s! It will cool off, but this is nuts. Football games on TV this afternoon and evening and I've got a pot roast in the crockpot. Finally took down most decorations yesterday, but then there were never that many. When I got up yesterday the first bud on the orchid was beginning to open and continued throughout the day. Now it is fully open. DH does so well caring for plants! One of our presents was from the Evil Cat, a jigsaw puzzle of a cat alphabet. We started it right away and finished last night. It was really nice. Still working on Puzzle Up, our trivia sort of 50-question brain teaser. We are part of a group that does this every year. The genealogy stuff is ongoing including a problem with a submission mailed to us but so far not received. Sigh.

Chris, the rat babies are so sweet looking and how nice your LOs bring smiles to B as well as the rest of us. Bet that makes Cait happy too. Geli Bean sounds like a cool name for one. And you cleaning with a toothbrush when you weren't going to deep clean? Nah, not you. :bounce: Eager to learn Mom's reaction to the gift which I am sure is wonderful. Please get a photo after she opens it.

Trudy, you're another with delightful stories, taking us hiding with Hunter. That is adorable. Good luck with the FB store! Sure hope it gets you some business as your work is so beautiful and based on commissions so far very appealing to others. And thanks for the comment on my hawk LO. I've had those photos trying to get in one for over a month, so finally.

Nancy, hockey is good for today, but against the Caps, probably not so much. And isn't today's weather strange? I don't think those 4 seconds were really needed as that was a good walk for you. We are all impressed with your speedy rehab and good results. Less said about DS the better though. :tape2:

Waving HI to all!

Good morning ladies. The day is flying by (guess that's what happens when you sleep in til after 8:30), it's almost lunchtime and I just came in from the garden (feeding and taking a few pics of the birds) and fed Taz and now will sit down with another coffee and check forums/galleries before heading out with D to go fill propane tanks for BBQ. I think tonight we'll have burgers and cesear salad for dinner.

I'm going to scrap a challenge page later, now that I have my living room PC in place again (Xmas tree had taken up that spot over the holidays).

Apparently everyone around us got 2-4" of snow yesterday but we only got a dusting of it. But more is coming so hopefully I'll get a few more wintery bird photos. The ice comes on Monday so that might be a good photo op for pics too. I'll have to stay close to home b/c I'll be working so no trip out to the bird sanctuary unfortunately b/c I'm pretty sure the scenery will be magical out there.

Chris - that is so cute to think of C with the rats in a soft pouch around her neck. I'll have to tell B about that. I hope you get better options for food when the new store opens. When will that be?

Trudy - you are going to Harrison Hot Springs on the 20th? For how long? What is your route? I wonder if we could get a chance to meet up for coffee, dinner, something. Let me know if you think we might figure out something.

Nancy - your on-demand I'm sure is much better than ours unfortunately. Us Canadians don't have anywhere near the choices the US gets and we end up paying a lot more for what we get...ugh.

I'm grabbing one more coffee, as I drank a whole cup as I chatted on here. Then I need to get going on my day. Hope you all have a great day.

Good morning lOvelies!
I'm finally feeling like a human being again! Chris, you are hero, a real martyr saint, I can't imagine how I could stand a long illness, as my pain tolerance level is so low. I had to search the Lyme article that you was shared with me before few months and show it to my friend which is big fan of Justin Bieber. I really sorry about him, but hope now when one so rich and famous men is talking about that, more people to insist for new medical research and diagnostic methods!
The temperature here was 9C, I think that's about 48F, so I was able to open the windows and do really good deep cleaning at the cat house. During the flu I was neglected lots of place that can collect fur. Beside that other part was lazy refreshing. But It was nice to see how you/me/ control your own little world and make it clean and more comfortable. I was watching one Nicholas Sparks movie, which party take place at the World War II and there was this very powerful quote:
259b644c4a3969bb2d09d954417d4d86.jpg

And my mom told me about dog that saved baby koala from the flames, how cute! I'm trying to explain my Hunter why I'm sad and upset, but she think the world end with our neighborhood. Cats!!! she believes that cuddling helps for everything.

Chris, OMG my family have tend to call all of our pets by nicknames over given ones, too! My dad hate this as he never couldn't figure out who who is, LOL! The new names are so cute, and ITA with the girls, I also love the LO!

Trudy, good luck with your facebook business page! I still sorry that nothing happened at your Etsy store, but maybe it was for good to quit, as from the new year have more papers that they want to shows for shipping and my sister is realy frustrated about all that!

Nancy, WOW, what a nice long walk! Good that the weather cooperated as you are machine! I need to walk more with sure! I'm curious to see the afghan once when it is done!

Jean, I love the photos of your beautiful plants and I'm waiting to see the orchid! Love all these stories for your caring home, and it's good luck for both of us that we don't live at just a drive long distance one each other, because I would probably end drop to you cat LOL . Which is a good way to spoil our friendship, as no one likes to be surprised with unwanted cats, but I just can't imagine better place for one toothless cat! She can't hunt, so no bird in danger. :pound:
Why you stopped to makes pages about puzzle?! I would love to see the puzzle of a cat alphabet.

Rae, it's a pleasure every time when I see your photos at Instagram, and I'm jealous to the girls with FB about that, because if I'm get it right you post there more often.

Kay, hope you're feeling better!

Oh, and I just have to copied this from Trudy: I really would love to do some scrapping!! I have been so bad for not getting any pages completed! :eek:hwell:

I will have to make this short, I need to get in the shower so I can get the house ready for the party for my mom. I pulled out a lot of the stuff I need already and the strata only has to be baked. But I have a sink full of dishes from dinner last night that I was way too tired to do.

Caitlyn and I finished the puzzle yesterday and she finished up the really hard parts. I was amazed at how quickly she did it too. We spent time with the girls again. She had them running on her bed, a somewhat more territorial spot for the BGs. Still no major scuffles! The LOs aren't crazy about being handled yet, they are still pretty squirmy but hey will get used to it in time.
My family will be here at 11.30 and I will most likely be exhausted by the time they leave. I adore my fam but we are loud and chaotic. It can be a bit draining over time :D
I was able to talk to my mom for a while yesterday, she seems to be leaning a little closer towards getting a pacemaker. She hasn't progressed much at all with the cardio-rehab and I know that it is upsetting her. Part of my-- the immature part- wants to hit her over the head and tell her to just do it already and that she will feel better. The Adult Daughter/Respectful part is to use measured words of support. Not always successfully but I am trying.

Enjoy your day today!

Trudy- we have wind warning here too. Whew- good that you aren't heading off the Island today. thank you for the Invite to your FB page! Do you have an Insta too? Leah just started an artist Insta for her work. Another of Scott's friends makes these awesome 3D resin items and uses Insta over FB. Good luck!!!!

Nancy- hehe!! Funny that you want to walk 4 more seconds. Scott and Leah went for a hike yesterday and were gone for about 2 hours. It was nice to be outside with the dogs even for a bit. Sorry that you needed a new water heater but yes, thankful it didn't leak in your basement!

Jean- Oh how pretty the orchid must look! I don't do well with indoor plants even though I do great outdoor. You are lucky to have a DH who does. Congrats on finishing the puzzle from Evil Cat.
Caitlyn is thrilled that her rats make B smile. She was so happy when I shared that with her.

Rae- I hope that you get snow for the photos soon. Give B a hug from Caitlyn too, she is happy that her girls make B smile.
The new store is set to open this spring bu tin Cinstraction Time, who the heck knows? hahaha!

Felis- I saw the headline about Justin Beiber having Lyme. Avril Lavigne has been a great Lyme advocate so I hope that he will be one too.
Great to hear that you are feeling better! Cats and dogs are right, everything is better with cuddles.

Hugs!!!

Finally have time to pop-in here. Already been a long weekend. Making some good strides with the foot. Decided yesterday that I would try using a good fitting shoe that isn't too right but does give support to the side and bottom of the foot [where the problem is] while I ran a few errands. Dropped off mail at the Post Office then went next door to the library and turned in the books that were due. Found about 6 books to check out...whoo-whee! While I looked in the Friends of Library area [found 2 I had to buy], I noticed that the other city library was having a clearance sale [bag of books for $5] that day until 2PM. As it was almost noon, I hurried over to check it out. I had my FOL bag with me and managed to fill it with about 20+ books! There was a nice gentleman there who carried the bag out to the car for me. Then I popped back into the 'regular' book sale but didn't find anything I couldn't live without. Stopped in the FOL shop there and discovered they had some music CDs and got 5 of them. Glad I had my rolling cart in the car and used it to bring all my goodies into the house. Had a quick lunch then ito the recliner and propped the foot up and read most of the afternoon. Think I dozed a bit, too.

Went to church main service wearing my regular shoe and without the cane. Sure wish I had taken it as the foot wasn't too happy being down for hour and a half. Got it propped up while I am on the computer right now... but know I need to get propped higher than it is. So.. no personals today.

Hey there. Just a quick in and out before my arm seizes up on me.

I have been trying to change my avatar but it always fails. I looked in the help section but it was not particularly helpful. Does anyone know how to do it.

I have the right size and psi (smaller) and the URL from imagur but it does not work even when I log out and back in again. I may have my Christmas one up for a long time.lol
Well heck look at that it just can up. Man that is slow to work.
