Happy Friday! I would :bliss: but I am more like :crutch:

Yesterday was quite the day. I took Ray to the vet who says that papilloma was fine and that they ooze sometimes. No need to have it removed unless she was under anesthesia for some other reason. I asked about the lick granuloma that is getting bigger. She took a look at that and said that sometimes they are due to an underlying infection. She Rx'd an antibiotic and something to help with the itching. I needed to get heartworm meds and by the time I walked out of there, I had $250 on the credit card. The cheapest part was the exam itself. I mentally kicked myself for asking her to check the granuloma but then recognized that it is only getting worse and if this helps clear up the issue, it will be worth it for her.

I had also emailed the Foster/Rescue org to see if they had any time frame of when the dogs would be ready for placement. The woman said that there is a bunch coming up today and more tomorrow. Then more from FL. I don't think it will be a matter of "if" we get a dog to foster but "when." I want to make sure that we have everything that we will need, leashes, bowls, bed/blankets. I was going to steam clean my bedroom yesterday then the LR/DR today but decided to switch that around. Gary moved all of the furniture and vacuumed while I did the steam cleaning. We now have an area in the LR that shouldn't have too much of dog scent and will be able to be gated off if we need to do that. I guess we should drag the dog crate down from the attic too.

Needless to say, I hurt all over. I want to get some more house cleaning done today because once the dog gets here, I won't necessarily have the time. I am also going to be away Wed/Thursday even if it rains, so I have less time too. I think I am going to just clean the fridge. Stuff is getting shoved to the back and I will need to make room for when we have the September Birthday Bash on the 23rd. Nothing more strenuous than that. I want to be in tip-top shape for tomorrow. My local feed store is hosting a fundraiser for animals affected by Harvey. $5 entry and they are having demos of Yoga with Goats, a petting zoo, music. It is less than 2 miles from my house and for $5 I will have a nice time and help the animals.

You all remember the Animal Sanctuary Cait and I went to in July? How can you forget, I post LOs of Caitlyn and her BPF (Best Pig Forever) all of the time. The Sanctuary went down to Houston and rescued a young bull that had been half drowned and was literally lying on his side, giving up. He is back in NJ and is making a good recovery. Cait wants all of us to go for one of the weekend visits there to see all of the animals and him too. Hope we can do that soon.

That is it from sunny but cold NJ. Have a fantastic day!

Trudy- Did it rain??? I hope so!! I can't imagine how smoky the sky and air is. The rock must be very nice, you do amazing work. You were very busy, keto tacos and tomato sauce and jelly. The one thing "nice" about this time of year is that I do get more interested in cooking again. One other thing I need to do today is the homemade sweet potato dog treats. It is cool enough to have the stove on for long periods of time.

Oh, you didn't cross post with Nancy- I am going to have to keep scrolling to see if she popped in yesterday.

Rae- hope that you get all of your work done quickly today so you can snuggle on the sofa and watch TV and scrap. :) What new Fall shows are you planning on watching? So far, we haven't added anything new to our list.

There's Nancy! OMG-- A recliner with a USB port? Wow!! That is crazy and cool. :)
I am so glad that you had a good day!!

Jean- I am grumbling along with you about the Drs appt. At least you found out before you left the house. Hope that you weren't too cranky but I know how that feels heh!!

:hello: everyone from smokey Vancouver Island ! We had a very tiny amount of rain sometime during the night. Certainly not enough to even warrant a puddle anywhere  I am hopeful that we will see some more moisture today, but how can you tell if there are any clouds when you can't see the sky for the SMOKE!! Oh well it is what it is, there isn't anything that we can do about it is there? Not much happening for me today, just some bills to pay and I would really like to get out for a walk, but with the smoke it just makes me feel icky when I do a long walk and breathe in all that smoke and ash. My poor lungs don't like it much :becky:

Chris - You are such a kind hearted person to even think about taking in a rescue dog!! Like you don't have enough on your plate right now. You are amazing!! Hopefully the new dog will settle in quickly once it arrives and your fur babies adjust quickly also! Nice to hear that the pig is recovering nicely too, poor animals sometimes we forget that it isn't just people affected by all this horrible devastation! I hope you manage to get your doggy treats made today, a good time to do them if it is going to be cooler outside! DH and I started watching the new season of Narcos on Netflix last night, we enjoyed the first ones so much!! Very violent but very well done! Looking forward to watching the new season of Outlander on Sunday also, I am thinking I will watch the last few shows from last season again, just to refresh my memory. Take some Advil and hopefully you will not feel quite so sore for the rest of the day!

Listening to Apple Music this morning, signed up for a three months free subscription and loving the choices of music! Listening to Simon and Garfunkels Bridge over troubled waters album. I forgot how many great songs are on that album!!! So fun to hear them again!!
Well best get some coffee and get my bed made etc. Hope to return here later to catch up with all of you today and do some more scrapping!! Have a great morning everyone!

good morning - whew what a morning already. Today I had an early appt for Luther and his ears and they looked good so that makes me happy. Love my recliner and my son does recognize that it is mine lol. Watched the ladies US Open semis and like seeing new ladies have a chance to win. I do like Venus but she just make too many errors. I think she wanted it too much and just never relaxed. I have a few errands to run this afternoon but that is all. I finally finished watching the Artsy Flowers videos from an Anna Aspnes class. OMgosh I am shocked how much thought goes in to this. I will try but not sure I have the time to spend doing too many. Part of me loves the real photos but I do love a few artsy elements on my pages. Made a great dinner just BBQ chicken and green beans and sweet potatoes. Yummy! I like that it is baked chicken as I really don't like grilling.

Chris I agree with Trudy you are amazing kind hearted and I hope you find the right dog to foster. I keep thinking if there was a German shepherd I would do this but then I think two big dogs I have to be crazy. But I am totally impressed Chris! Do take it somewhat easy.

Trudy I love my Apple music. I use it all the time. It is so easy Charles and I were driving and we wanted to listen to a song and we just pull it up and it plays. The cost is such that I am buying a CD as month which I would do any way and this way I can listen to the CD and see if I really like it. Now Apple knows my preferences and each week lets me know the new country albums being released. I know some think this is an invasion of privacy but not me I love that they know and can help me find new music. Hope that this weekend you get lots of rain. I can't wait to see Outlander on Sunday. I have been following the show and they have been posting several of the interviews from Sam and Catrina and they seem like such nice people. I think they have made the characters from the book really come alive.

Rae hope the work was done fast! Hope you have been having fun with your DH.

Jean waving hi!

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. Yesterday flew by. I popped out at lunch time to meet up with my Young Living upteam leader and had a good visit. She makes her own soap and next month I will join her and we'll make a big batch together. That'll be fun. I got an essential oil book from her to read which should be interesting. Then I popped over to a VV about 15 minutes away to see if I would have as much luck there as I have had at the one in our neighborhood. Yep, I did LOL. Came home with 2 bags including another jean jacket in a darker demin. So I think 5 jean jackets is the magic number. I don't need any more (or do I???? lol) Can't wait to wear them with a t-shirt and scarf soon. Got some more tights/leggings and sweat pants, so my collection has really grown now. I love wearing tights with a long shirt, so comfy. That's what I am wearing now. I spoke to the cashier about my weight loss and she was very interested in keto or paleo which is which I recommend if they think keto might not be for them but want to try low carb. She wanted to talk more but her manager came over so she had to get back to work.

Last night we watched the last 2 episodes of Blacklist so am all caught up. I think I'll save AHS for tomorrow and tonight I'll watch Blindspot and scrap while I watch as I don't have to be glued to the screen for that one.

Chris - some shows that are on my radar are: Good Doctor, The Brave, Young Sheldon, Marvels Inhumans, 9JKL, The Gifted, Kevin Probably Saves The World, SWAT and Valor. You have such a big heart, you are going to be a great foster mom to a new dog, they will be lucky to join your family. I bet the dogs love your homemade treats.

Trudy - the rain is starting here now and we're supposed to get 2 days of it. We need it. I don't mind the cooler weather today. I think Taz will enjoy getting out in the cooler weather later too. Time to get my raincoat out and trade the sandals for runners or rainboots today.

Nancy - your chair sounds heavenly!

I'm getting to work now. Have a great day everyone!

Woke early for me and got up as I needed to do something early in the day but after that went back to bed and slept really late. Oh well, now the day's nearly shot. But I'm happy because I got the info out to our newsletter editor for myself and someone else.

Chris, sorry you wound up sore and with more to do. You really are amazing with the animals. Hope your time at the shore is good (an Irma leaves you alone.) I find myself compulsively looking at the radar and satellite images of that monster storm.

Trudy, still hoping for rain for you. Can't imagine the smoky conditions. I see it is cooler and a forecast for Vancouver of 80% chance. So maybe you'll get some on the island? But Apple Music must be nice for you, so a good thing.

Nancy, everyone was watching the baseball game last night (15 in a row!!) or football, so missed Venus's match. How exciting to have Stephens and Keys in the final. That recliner must be outstanding! A USB port and a DS who knows it's yours.

Rae, you are a shopping superstar. Five denim jackets? Again, we want photos of them and the scarves.

Another weekend up now, hope it's kind to all.
