CHEERY O
I am still so tired. I woke up at 4 again but at least this morning I was able to drift back to sleep(ish) a bit.
I am still not in a great mood. Caitlyn's first lecture didn't go so well. There were crazy technical difficulties to the point that she texted me what a mess it was. Hopefully, it is just working the bugs out and things will get better the next time.
I didn't anything exciting unless you count 2 loads of laundry, sink full of dishes, cleaning up after J when the threw up "exciting." *wink*

I am meeting Arlene this morning to go for another walk where we went a couple of weeks ago. I hope that helps my mood because as of right now, all I am doing is making myself crankier. For anyone outside of the US, I don't know how to express the insanity of what is happening here. COVID, the elections, the protests. It is utterly mind-boggling and stomach-churning. A friend called me yesterday to ask how I was navigating this. HA!!! Um.... I am not. I told her that thankfully, my family can yell at/to each other and that helps blow off steam. Other than that, I had not even a smidge of advice.

:tape:
I need to stop talking/typing. Let me do some gratitudes and be on my way out of your hair

Gratitudes:
-the weather is gorgeous! A wonderful day for a walk.
-I made yummy dinners the last few nights
-it is Friday (it counts, right?)

xoxoxo!

Trudy- sorry that you still need some rain. It rained here last night and I would not have noticed if it weren't for the sky being orange. I had to look out of the window since the "glow" was so strange and I noticed it was rainy and orange. I would send some of the rain to you if I could but maybe not the strange color of the clouds.
That is what I am hoping for today-- fresh air being good for my soul. I am so happy that you got to get that amazing feeling of being in nature. Wish we could bottle it along with the sunshine when the weather turns.
Oh no, that doesn't sound good for MIL. Is she any better today? I hope that she will take the blood thinners if that is what she needs. The blood clots are scary! How is FIL holding up and your Gary too? Sending big hugs!

Cheryl- when I get very anxious, I need to clean, to keep busy. The day my mom had the blood transfusion, my kids were teasing me that I had taken the pedestal fan apart and was cleaning the blades and "grill" with a toothbrush ;)
You would think my house would be much cleaner than it is, based on my continuously poor mental state. ha!
I am so happy and relieved that you made it to OK safe and sound. How is Daisy, is she settling in? I hope that the temp housing period goes quickly-- and you could be in the new house by Halloween!

I am too tired and cranky to look for typos, please forgive my poor spelling and typing and lack of coherent English today.
Love and hugs to all of you!

good morning - well the hockey has gone to 3 game 7s, two tonight and one on Sat. night. Amazing that the teams have clawed back to game 7s. So a late night of hockey. Now it is TdF and so many times when I watch I wonder if the teams really have plans. Well today one team actually did have a plan and wow has it caught other teams. So today is more than just riding. I have found a new show on Netflix. It is Roswell, New Mexico to separate it from the original show Roswell. It is fun. The characters are the same but it is 10 years past high school so they are now adults with adult jobs. I am really enjoying it. I loved the original Roswell. Made a yummy dinner - good sweet corn with a red cabbage cole slaw.

Chris sorry you are so depressed. I think a good walk will be helpful. I know that walking sure helps me. Have fun! Sorry about Cait and her problems. I know that my DH is also worrying about how it will go with his class. Hope today goes better.

Trudy your hike sounds awesome. Glad that your MIL is doing well. Good that they keep her until the clot problem is solved.

Cheryl congrats on your arrival. I am sure that was some drive through the hurricane. Enjoy a little down time.

Kay wow I cant believe you had sleet. Hope the weather is better

Have a great day all!

Morning O-zies!! It is another sunny warm day here and this will be a long weekend for us here in :canada: It is the Labor Day weekend. The traffic going through our little city was unbelievable yesterday and I am sure it will be even worse today! Campers and 5th Wheels as far as the eye can see. I wonder what our COVID numbers will go up to after this weekend?? :mmph: Well MIL got discharged from the hospital and she is doing very well!! They did put her on blood thinners and she will happily take them thank goodness!! She called us last night and was very happy to be at home and have a bath and sleep in her own bed!! She also said that she knows just how lucky she was to not have any side effects from this series of strokes!! She was very upbeat!! What a relief for everyone! We will go up probably on Sunday to help out with cleaning and meals and hopefully discuss what needs to be done in the future in terms of care for them both. This morning has been spent sending out coupons and announcing winners and I really hope to get some more things done here at the O!! I have been a neglectful cheeryO!!

Chris - Sorry you are still feeling so tired, it seems when there is not much to do we feel even worse than if we are super busy! Its hard to break out of that slump! I hope that going for a nice long walk with your friend will clear the cobwebs and put you in a better state of mind

Nancy - The hockey has been great hasn't it! We are really surprised how the Canucks have fought their way back! My son is very happy! Enjoy all of your TdF today and the late night hockey too! Hope you and Luther are able to have a lot of great walks this weekend!

Cheryl - How nice to know that you made it to your final destination, but now the waiting for the new house will not be fun! Boxes everywhere and not knowing where anything is, is horrible! I have done that too many times in my life! Hope you are able to transition smoothly!

Ok off I go to pick up my groceries, then I need to run a couple more errands before lunch. Its going to be a mad house out there if I wait any longer! Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi, gals... been busy since I woke up - slept in a bit later. Only got to have the house opened up for just over an hour as the temp was heading up. Got to 97* yesterday and heading about the same for today and the rest of the holiday weekend. Realized that I had to get the 3rd quarter Estimated taxes mailed today to make sure they arrive by the 15th. Also had to get my SUV licence renewal mailed as it was due there by the 13th. Stopped by the library to pick up 3 more books I had on reserved while I was out. Was a bit concerned as the books I put in the book drop on the 2nd were still showing on my account. They explained that the books were held in the bin for 3 full days before being handled due to Covid. Will be staying home for the rest of the week/weekend to avoid the crowds that are out there for the holiday!!!

I talked to my sister yesterday... she is still very tired, horrid headache, etc. She has to have 2 more IV infusions - 1 today and 1 tomorrow. Then they will check to see how she is doing. No telling how long she will have to be in the hospital. Covid is a horrible disease and no telling what the long-term effects be on her.

Chris, so sorry you are having a rough time right now. <<< hugs >>> I am avoiding the news and skip over all the political stuff on socila media as I don't need the raised BP.

Cheryl, glad you are in OK safely and that your stuff has arrived. Didn't realize that you were going into a rental until your place is finished being built!!! What a challenge that will be to not unpack completely.

Oh, Trudy... hope you can avoid the traffic around your place. Yes, think people are crazy to being acting as if Covid was over and they can gather in crowds. So glad to hear that your MiL is home now and seems to be doing okay.

Nancy, glad you found Roswell [series] and are enjoying it. I don't get Netflix - but would love to watch that one... especially since I can remember when the crash happened.

Need to get the :washing: sorted and washed. Been a bit lazy the past couple of days so hope to get caught up on a few chores. Hope everyone had a good holiday weekend.
