Happy Friday!

It is COLD! Really cold! 52*F cold. But it is sunny and dry so I should be happy about that at least. We still have water coming into the basement but the sump pump is not running continuously anymore. The noise it makes is really annoying but it would be much worse if it wasn't working. We had that happen a few times and ended up with feet of water in the basement.

I don't know how successful I was getting stuff done yesterday. I didn't come home with bags of chocolate donuts so that is a good thing. Although bags of choc donuts would be nice. One thing that I didn't do was start packing. I just can't seem to get it together, don't know why. *shrugs*
I did finish a page of a photo of Gary and me. I love the picture. That makes *two* photos of us that I have scrapped in two months. We have so few of them so it has been nice. The kids did fine with work and school. Scott had a lot of detours due to flooding and trees down but it was on company time and in the company car so it wasn't all that bad. Cait's class ended early because the internet was out so the prof. couldn't show the video lectures she wanted to. Always something haha!
On a good note- My niece's first day of teaching was yesterday, I am so excited for her. I have to text her later to see how it went.

I am cleaning today and then I MUST get started on packing. I do this all of the time lately. I am so disorganized, then I freak out and overpack. I used to be so organized, had lists and a system of putting everything out on the table in specific piles. Now I could throw things into a garbage bag and have the same effect. I miss the old, organized, and relatively self-disciplined me.
Any ideas on how to get that back???

Wishing everyone a very lovely day!

@tanteva hahaha!!! That photo is hysterical, so happy that you got a hot shower! Bet you didn't want to turn the water off.

@taxed4ever Trudy, it is so nice to see you here again. <3 Oh no, that is awful that you haven't had any rain. My town had 8-9 inches with Henri and 5 with Ida. I saw that Nancy's area got hit very hard by Ida, hope she is OK. I truly wish I could send some to you. If I had a few thousand miles of sump pump hose, I would. It is sad when the leaves are dying because of the drought and not because it is the right season for it. The weather is so darn weird. Whenever you need to vent about your awful neighbors please go ahead. Hugs.

@Cherylndesigns Wow. Poor Lila, she is still a baby! It was just a week or so ago that you had me laughing at how she would zip back and forth between the houses. Can the vet do surgery in just one eye, it might be less expensive but give her enough vision to adapt?
Gary's grandparents had a deaf Dalmation too. IIRC, it is common in that breed. Ray was deaf but that was just an old age thing.

Eva!! *happy dances and high 5's*

*knocks wood, throws salt, etc* ~> must defeat any karmic balance adjustments after all the good stuff!
Or.... maybe all of that good stuff is to balance out that you didn't hot water for three months!

The answer you probably don't want: the only way is to start. Sorry. Taking it in baby steps, do a little bit each day. It might take a while, but on the other hand - it probably took a heck of a long time to get dis-organized, right? Nothing is done in one day, but piece by piece, day by day, you get closer.

Karma hasn't gotten me yet. Woke up this morning to another e-mail, telling me I've won a $10 coupon in another challenge! Mr. Random Org sure has a crush on me!

Being an active digiscrapper again really got me confused yesterday. Since I worked Sept. 1, and went to check on the forums I'm active at yesterday, I got a bit stressed out. New challenges everywhere, new releases everywhere, and with the winning - I bought a lot of new stuff. Got almost numbed ... too much to chose from, I didn't know where to begin. Ended up not scrapping the whole day yesterday.

Today, I have scrapped. Eaten breakfast. Scrapped. Eaten lunch. Scrapped. Guess I should do at least some chores now before Urban gets home from work and the weekend begins. Should. Really should. At least the stinky litter boxes. LOL

Morning everyone... I will be quick in and out of here today, as I am expecting the by-laws officer to come and take a look at our neighbours leak in their irrigation system, sure hope that they can get this resolved. Next step is to take them to court. This is not the bad neighbours behind us but the recluse couple that live next door to us  . They keep denying that they have a leak but it has been proved by the Municipality that they do grrrrrr! These people even tampered with their water meter and so the Muni installed a new one and yup they are losing gallons of water every minute. Guess you can't fix STUPID!!! For heavens sake just fix the leak, its not that hard or that expensive. Ok now I am pissed off again, so I will stop! Finally finished my layout and will get it posted right away. It's a long weekend for us this weekend, we are going to my Brothers place on Saturday, as it is his Birthday and we are invited for Birthday Supper. I will get busy today making him a card. I can't believe he is 70 years old!! Anyway I hope you all have a lovely weekend and I will try to catch up better during the weekend.

Good afternoon all.

Trudy @taxed4ever what a MESS!!! I can't believe are that irresponsible!! Wow, you have bad neighbors behind you and a recluse next door. I remember those days. Now I don't have any neighbors, except a small amount of family and they're not that close.

Chris @faerywings Lila's eyes went fast! Yes, she just to fly between our houses, although it is a good walk, but not for a funning dog. The vet said it was the fastest onset he'd ever seen and she is just a baby. I don't know what they're going to do, but I'll mention the one eye thing to her. We took extreme close-up pictures of her eyes and sent them to her ex in Florida. He's coming out here next week, I guess, so hopefully he can look her over. He's a surgical vet with certifications that only a handful of vets have in the whole country. He was flown to California to work in a high end vet critical care clinic for over a year, then got an offer from Boca Raton that he couldn't pass up. That's how they ended up in Florida. He and his wife are coming out to watch Braden play football. (We're all still friends.)

Is your finished LO of you and Gary in the gallery? I'll be heading over there next. I can't believe how cold it is - it's so hot here - still in the low 90's. UGH too hot for me. I really need to get outside and do some yard work, but it's so blasted hot!

Eva, @tanteva hang in there with your baby steps.

OHHHHH, we just had a lady come and give us an estimate on clean for us - $40!!! We're thrilled and she said she'd change the beds. She was super sweet and is coming in 2 weeks - her schedule was full until then. That's a big load off. I love to have my bathrooms deep cleaned, too. Hmmmmmmm, let me see about the skulls. I seriously doubt if they do the fancy folds on@ the towels here. Hahaha Oh, and she LOVED Daisy!! Daisy was all over her and she promised to bring her a homemade sweet potato treat next time. She fosters dogs and makes treats for them. A DOG PERSON - YAY!!!

Have a good Friday - hugs to all.
