Happy Friday! :biggrin1:
Is everyone doing well today? Here in NJ, I am freezing! We had a cold front come in and it is 48*. What a difference from just a couple of days ago when we were at 90*. I already miss that weather. But the sun os out and today is when we can let Whisky be more active. Cait and I are planning on taking her and J for a hike. We aren't too sure if we will bring Ray. She has a tendency to sit down and not move on hikes which will defeat the purpose of trying to work on getting W as part of the pack. I feel bad for Ray when we leave her out of things but she is like me, an old cranky lady set in her ways.Haha! We forget that she is almost 12 sometimes.

My eyes are fine- the leaky blood vessels in my left eye are gone and the blotches in the right are exactly the same as they were in April. That was good news. I had a nice time with my mom. She asked me to help her with her living will. We made a good team since she looks at that from a very emotional level, while I tend to me more academic. I helped her through some of the issues that she was fighting with herself about. And I was very respectful of her perspective at the same time. I am very strongly in favor of organ donation/scientific donation but that is something that freaks her out and I didn't even try to change her mind. *pats self on back for having self-restraint* ;)

Gary cooked up some white rice to add to Whisky's food and she seems to be having more solid poop. In case you cared. :pound:

Today I have to make appts for me and TLO. I need a breast MRI and Bone Density. W needs a basic well check with my vet and an Rx for her heartworm pills.
Cait also needs to make 2 Drs appts and that goof likes me to go with her. One of them she might have to do on her own, the other, I don't mind waiting for her. yeah, she is 19 but I love her.

So that is about it, my feet are so cold I need to put fuzzy socks on.
Have a fantabulous day!

Nancy- I just finished reading Ape House by Sarah Gruen and I liked it a lot. Loved learning about the apes. But my next book up is a YA supernatural one so that will be a switch.
great news about the Devils win! It feels so much like fall here too. I think we are going to do our Halloween decorating on Sunday.
I had forgotten about keeping a light leash on puppies until she had one on, started barking, and I immediately put my foot on it. Muscle memory :)

Trudy- the hike sounds beautiful, hope your thighs aren't too sore from keeping your balance on the way down. I think you should sit down and do it-- a book of your hikes is a perfect idea!

Kids seem to be a bit better today (well, Cait is sleeping but last night she was good). They don't give themselves enough credit on how strong and smart they are.
Christmas ornaments?? *grooooaaaaannnnn!!!!!!!*
haha!! it will be here before you know it. Hope you had fun with SIL!

Felis- we still have mostly green leaves here too but if the weather stays this cool, they will turn quickly. What a nice walk you must have had, I am looking for ours today.
Thank you so much for your insight on fostering and dog behavior.I know that we are onthe right track and that it is goign to take a lot of time. They said that she is 7 months old but I think she might be younger than that. We will have to see when I take her to my own vet. But her ribs are not showing anymore and her fur is getting so soft. That in itself makes me so happy.

Rae- what oils did she put into the blend for you? Curious minds! I also need to put in an order for some EOs that I have run our of and some other items for when I start making my products and baskets for the holidays.
That is so sad about Bailey's friends. Just horrible :( I am sorry that she lost her job but seems to be doing the right thing with a new counselor. As long as she isn't using again, that is a huge positive step.

jean- I bet that your next article will be informative and insightful for your research.Yes, my day did get better, TY!

good morning - wow the fall is here in one quick swoop. It is in the 50s and to go up to low 70s. I think the leaves will start to turn soon. I have not been scrapping and reading instead. Silly but sometimes I just need to read. Today Luther is off to day care so today will get lots of chores done. I am still dealing with the silliest situation among my girlfriends. I thought when we got to be adults in our 50s and 60s all the silliness would be gone. I knew my one girlfriend was going to Alaska and I mention a cruise I was liking to Alaska and she said no they had already booked one. So we all had dinner last Sunday and one of the husbands showed me a photo of Mt. Rainer. I knew he would never be there unless they were on the cruise. But his wife never said anything. I finally emailed her and she finally admitted that yes they had all gone. I don't understand after all the years of friendship that they would think they had to hide that only the two went. Like I said I thought all this was just behind us. I thought by now you just were happy for your friends. Makes me sad. I need happy in my life not drama.

Chris glad that the time with your mom was so good. It cannot be fun to do a living will. Glad you listened to your mom. Glad that Whisky is doing better. yes the more exercise they get the more calm they are. Glad the eyes are not getting worse!

Trudy that sounds like on hard hike. Yes those walking poles can help. I just find that with a camera and binoculars they made me more awkward lol. But if you don't have lots hanging from your neck they are great. Have fun shopping with your sister.

Rae so sorry about Bailey and her losing her job. But wow I would be depressed too if I had lost so many to drug ODs. I am glad she has you and knows she still needs help. Feel better!

Felis someone has to like rain. It just is not me LOL. Sounds like your walk was so nice. I love parks and walking in them just makes me smile.

Jean how fun to have a DH who supports all this research and had such a great idea about writing down the ideas. It does seem more real when it is written down. good luck.

have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. It is raining and chilly here this morning. We'll head out to the trailer this afternoon. It's going to rain all wkend so aside from going into town in the morning for shopping, we'll be staying indoors. I picked up a gorgeous flannel shirt with fleece lining and another flannel hoodie for Bailey for her B-day. It's today but we'll have a dinner on Sunday for her. Yesterday the store had a lunch time sale (never heard of that before lol), only from noon til 3. I picked up a pair of yoga pants too at 40% off. Yay. The funny thing about the yoga pants is they are the same brand/styl from Blue Notes as one of the pairs I picked up at VV a few wks ago, just different stitching, so they are probably a year or two old in release date for them. Big different in regular price of $45 and VV at $5. :) I'll pick up a few other things in Bellingham tomorrow. Jen gave me a list of groceries she wants too. We always buy our cheese there as tillamook is the best and we can't buy it in Canada.

This morning I tried shampoo/conditioner that I bought earlier this week from the organic store and I really like it. It has essential oils in it and no harsh chemicals/paraben free and has a lovely lavender smell. I also ordered an essential oil, chemical free toothpaste from Young Living. I am happy to be treating my body inside and out with healthier, more natural products. I'm still not feeling 100% yet but slightly better today so it's continuing forward, just slow going. At least I didn't have to go to the doctor for antibiotics this time like I always do.

Chris - here's my EO immune blend in a 10 ml bottle, clove bud 40 drops, eucalyptus 15, lemon 35, rosemary 10, tea tree 10 ,lavender 20, then filled up with apricot kernel carrier oil.

Nancy - I totally understand what you mean. I have friends who I just shake my head at, they still act like they are kids. I've drifted away from many friendships these last few years or so b/c I just don't want to deal with the drama/negativity/immaturity, etc. Life is too short, I want to surround myself with positive, kind, compassionate women.

Trudy, Felis & everyone else....hope all is well.

I'm getting to work now. Have to run some errands later and want to leave for the border as early as possible this afternoon. Have a great day, everyone.

Today was warm, but now I feel it so cold that I seriously considering to burn the fireplace. From the work called today to say that we will learn the new order at monday, let see what will be! We used beneficial last free day to finish some tasks. I can't believe this month finished so quick. But of course, I told this almost every time.

Chris, I'm happy that your eyes are fine! In my family we have genetic problems with them from both side mom and dad's family and I really hate to deal with that, it's one of my most serious worries. Also I always smile, when you say that about accompany Cait, because in my culture is quite usual woman who isn't married to be escorted from member of her family no matter of her age. Maybe isn't feminist and is a little bit old fashioned, but still is actual.Oh and I'm definitely cared from every updates about Whisky's condition.

Nancy, this about your friend is so nasty! I'm not very good in relationship with the people just because they act so illogical. Do not feel bad about such things, some people need drama to feel alive!

Rae, Happy birthday to Bailey and best wishes! Hope to have a wonderful year! What you share about her yesterday makes me very sad. Wish her to be strong and patient! Life sucks and everybody lose the way, but I'm sure she feel that the good is she have you for support!

Trudy maybe we'll cross posted again, but if not have a lovely day to you and Jean!

Weekend ladies! Make it awesome!

:hello: ladies... sorry no time to catch up with personals today. I had to take DH to the hospital this morning. Nothing serious he was scheduled for his colonoscopy today, so he was home all day yesterday doing the cleanse to get ready for today's procedure. So now I am just waiting to go pick him up shortly. He will probably sleep the rest of the day away and we are keeping our fingers crossed that there will not be anything found. I think that they are targeting his age group because their sure are a lot of people having this done!! You can't tell me that all these people have problems with their colons??? Anyway I have to FaceTime with DD and let her know what is happening. Hope you have a great Friday everyone and I promise to catch up with you all tomorrow morning.
