Good thing that I am so darn flexible, cuz yesterday was another one of those days LOL Thankfully, it all worked out fine and I think that I have everything under control. Maybe. Just a bit...
My neighbor has been sick, so he asked if I could clean today instead of yesterday. No worries, i can do that. I was able to finish my IL's gifts. They are no where near what I wanted to do, but it is the thought that counts. They know our situation. I bought squat glass vases (after breaking them in the store ha!!!), and white stones that I painted Autumn-y colors. I filled the vases halfway, and put a tealight inside them. They can use them or re-purpose them, if they wish. It is what it is, and it was made with love and that it what counts.
Made the freaking cauliflower tart and Gary and I were the only ones that ate it. Scott didn't like it and Cait was too full after eating her baked potato. This is the recipe that takes hours to make, and I could have just given everyone a baked potato instead and they would have been just as happy and my feet would have hurt from standing in the kitchen *grumbles*
we also got a notice that the kids' LLMD is retiring. he has been part of our lives since 2008. It is going to be really hard to say good bye to him and his nurse, whom I adore. We will switch to Gary and my LLMD, which is closer, by an hour. And hopefully they won't need to see her...*fingers crossed really tight*
Very cool Lyme news too, which you might have seen if you see me on FB. Some of you might remember waaaay back that Scott and I participated in some Lyme panel discussions to help people in the medical field understand the complexities of the disease. The documentary is finished and is being screened at the NJ Film festival. Such a huge thing! It has been getting a lot of local press, and the Global Lyme Alliance also shared on FB, so the word is getting out. I can't wait to see it. I have to make sure that we can get tickets too.
So that is it from me- cleaning a bit here, and then neighbor and prepping some stuff for the party tomorrow, have a super day!
