Before I say anything else, I have to say congratulations to JEN!!!!! Yesterday she shared an ultrasound of a new baby! Woo hoooooo! Always wonderful to hear news about (other people's) babies!!!!!

Note to self: If you ever go to visit Jen, do NOT drink the water!!! :spit:

I am happy it is Friday but I am pretty apprehensive about the day. I got some more sad news from my brother. One of his best buds-- fraternity brother and friend since the late 80's-- passed away yesterday too. He was 46. I am taking Cait to her friend's wake this afternoon and even though I never met this girl, I know it is going to be awful. beyond awful. How do you look at a girl your own child's age, in a casket, and not die a bit inside??

Good thing today is I am going to be really busy, between babysitting and work-- that maybe I won't have too much time to think about anything.

So again, let me focus on life and say how wonderful babies are! And tomorrow I get to babysit for my godson and he is truly a gift. Poor little guy (his is 16 months old) is going to want to be running free and all Aunt Chris is going to want to do is hug him tight. *squish*

HUgs love good thoughts and happiness to all of you. If I can send it out, it will come back full circle eventually.

'morning, guys. today's the day of High Schoo Reunion #45 Day One. (tonight is the "bar" portion.) it should be OK because it'll be DARK in there. who wants to see all those Old People really clearly....? i'm playing it safe and dressing in Black and White. pretty flashy. crap. i wish i knew how to dress up when i need to. i once went into Chico's and told the salesperson to dress me up. and i looked like an idiot when she was done. oh, well.

Chris, i don't envy you your trip to the wake. it's so heartbreaking, and there will be lots of heartbroken people there. it's sure to make you feel terrible because it IS terrible and you are such a caring person. there are no helpful words to offer in a situation like this. it will be sad and SAD. it's good that your godson will be in your picture soon. that should reaffirm life.

anyone who thinks they have life or God figured out is greatly mistaken.

whoa. that was cheery....:tape:

Just popping in quickly to say HI! I need to pack my bag with work clothes and get going. I'm working today, tomorrow & Sunday. Not looking forward to walk to work today - even if it's just a 5 minutes walk - cuz it's RAINING like crazy. On the other hand, I'm happy it's just raining, cuz this is the same weather that tipped over houses in Canada the other day. Good thing it calmed down before getting to Sweden :)

My guess is I will be doing lots of salads today at work, usually my spot in the kitchen. If you follow me on Instagram (username: tvingad), you'll probably will see just how much I enjoy kale ;)

Good morning ladies.....moving slow this morning.....very slow....not sure, but I think I may be getting a bug....if not...it's just getting old(er)....

I picked up my kiddos from school yesterday afternoon and we had to go get a new pair of glasses for Jaiden again....notice I said AGAIN....6th pair in 11 months...sigh..... another $25 (insurance purchase was well worth it).... Fortunately they had her frames there in stock this time and she just switched the lenses....I had to laugh, as the lady came back out with a baggy with the old ones...she said "there are good parts in there, so hang on to them and maybe next time we can do some piecing together" :pound: She probably sits there every day and looks out the window to see if we are coming....

Be back after while girls....

Not fun to have to walk through the rain Eva especially on your way to work ...

I hope you'll have a wonderful evening Phylis!

Ow Chris that is so sad, it is good to have some distraction.

Congrats Jen on your new baby on the way, I hope you'll have a good pregnancy!

Good morning ladies!!

We had a little rain yesterday and it looks like rain again today! Woo Hoo! We are in a drought here and could really use a lot of rain.

So glad it is Friday. Have a lot of reading to do for the Critique class I signed up for at Get it Scrapped. Hmmmm........I'm thinking I may have bit off more than I can chew! Hoping to emerge from this class a better scrapper. At least I'll know why I am doing what I am doing instead of just slapping stuff on a page.

Chris--don't envy you. Any kind of funeral service for a young person is hard to handle.

I think I may take off a little early today. One nice thing about my job---can sometimes take off a little early. Want to get to reading all that material! DH and I will be heading out of town tonight for the high school football game. Hope we don't get drenched though! Craig told me last night--find your rain gear! Ha! I don't have rain gear---he has rain gear!

Phyllis--you need Fiona to dress you! she Rocks!!

Will pop in later. Have a blessed Friday!

Oh Chris that is going to be heart wrenching. I had to go to one a couple of years ago and I cried the whole way through for a kid I barely knew.
Ugh I do not envy you P-going to a high school reunion would be torture for me.
Eva I am glad the weather let up somewhat for your walk, maybe you'll see a rainbow!
Nana That is a lot of glasses!! what does she do to them.
Terry how is the class? I was thinking about taking it, but no time.

Today is Friday and its going to be gorgeous outside. I am back on the bike today after a glorious 3 day break from working out. I say glorious because I scrapped 20 layouts in 3 days!! Got caught up on Project Life and did a bunch from my 06 album. I am so glad today is Friday! My teen daughter is bouncing off the walls after meeting Cody Simpson in person last night at his concert! She paid 100 for the meet & greet and apparently he was worth every penny, lol

Morning sweet "O" ladies... up at 5am on my day off!!!!!!!!! WTH??? Oh well I figured if I had to be awake, then I may as well send my hubby off to his last day of work with a good breakfast! He is feeling a lot of mixed emotions about leaving his career of 35 years!! I really wanted to throw him a party, but he insists that he does not want one. He is actually on leave from the RCMP until the end of January when he will officially retire, so I am hoping to throw a surprise party for him sometime after that.

Chris - I do not envy you going to a wake for such a young girl!! Hard enough to attend these sad events for someone who has had a long life, but for someone like that it is just SAD!!!!!!!!!! Makes you realize just how unfair life can be!! So glad that you at least can have some joy with your godson! Give him a big squishy hug from all of us here ok?

Eva - Just hum that song :Singing in the Rain" and that should make your short walk a bit happier!! I must have missed the news about the houses tipping over in Canada! Was it on the East Coast? It sure wasn't out this way, we haven't seen rain in almost two months! Fires on the Prairies and Ontario has been hot and humid too, so it must be the East Coast! Anyway have fun with your salad making today!!

Phylis - I bet you outshine all of those other high school reunion buddies!! I hope you have a wonderful time! Have fun and stay out of trouble LOL It will be fun for you to catch up and reminisce about old times!!

Nana Linda - Sure hope that you are not catching a bug my friend!! Good thing you got that insurance!! Six pairs of glasses in under a year?? She must be a going concern!! Love your comment on the lady watching out the window for you to show up!! :pound:

Terry- How nice that you have a job where you can take of early if you want too!! Hope you don't get drenched at your football game! Enjoy your scrap class, any kind of education is good right??

Well I have the whole house to clean and then I have to drop off my keys to my sister, so she can water my plants while I am on vacation, then off to the bank to get some US money, horray it won't cost a fortune cause our dollar is way up now!!! Vacuum out the Van was the windows and clean out the fridge. That should keep me busy for most of the day, but I will try to do some scrapping today too. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Well I was lucky - both when I walked to work and when I walked home from work - not a drop of rain. And as soon as I was at work, it was POURING! Couldn't take the car since 1. DH had it at work and 2. I don't have a licence :)

Love that picture. E-mailing it to DH now :D

Oh, and the house tipping- I have no idea where it was - all they said on the news was Canada. You know - it's such a small country
