Daily Ooo's: Friday, October 9

The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
I feel a lot more like "celebrating" TGIF this week than I did last week. Again, not because Friday is any different than a different day of the week or weekend but that I slept until 5. The last week or so had been 4 am so that extra hour helps. A lot.

So let's see - yesterday was both boring and anxiety-producing. I did a bunch of stuff in the house with housework and stuff before I headed to the Breast Center. I made Buffalo Chicken Tortilla Wraps for dinner in advance. Cait had meetings and classes from 9 are to 8 pm so wouldn't be around for dinner. Scott had his Zoom interview at 5:15 and I knew that the earliest I would be home was at 5. They were tasty and Scott grabbed another one after his interview. that is always the key test!

The interview went great even though he thinks that he didn't get the job. He was told that he made it to the top two candidates and that they had hard decisions and that they would keep him in mind for other opportunities. Apparently, they really liked his work and his personality and ended up chatting about personal things when the interview was officially over. Scott noticed that the director had a Les Paul guitar neck in the background and they talked guitars for quite a while. He is really proud of himself for making it that close to end, especially since he didn't feel that he lined up 100% with the requirements.

Mammo/US was fine if you like being squished and poked and prodded.:p The tech that did my US was a mom that have known years when I was teaching at the daycare/school before I was married. Her one DD (now 30!) was in my PreK class and I remember when her second DD was born. The "baby" has a DD now and I was so happy for Sue, she LOVES being a Grandma. She was telling me how things were so hairy in March and April. The hospital trained all of the techs at the Breast Center to be nursing assistants and then they put her on the COVID floor to do chest x-rays. She said she had never been so scared. Bodies being rolled out one after the other, 8 in one shift, into the temp. morgue. She joked how she wanted to hug me and I felt the same. She was one of the nicest parents that we had. Sh organized a bridal shower for me right before my wedding and a lot of the kids/parents were there. She still calls me Miss Chris hahaha!!

Since I slept better, I feel better too. I was starting to stress that my Lyme was flaring. I was starting to get some POTS symptoms and my joints were all swollen and sore. Hopefully with some better sleep, if anything is brewing my immune system will be back on track. Hmm. I wonder if any of that has to do with the flu shot I got 3 weeks ago.
Hmmm. I *really* do wonder about that. I kind of figured that the joint stuff was from the fall. But the POTS stuff? I am going to keep a close eye on that. If I start saying every morning here that I am exhausted and in pain- more than I usually do-- please let me know. The last thing I want is to end up reactivating the disease and letting it get out of control. :nono:

Not much happening here. Scott is going to help Leah do final preparations for the Craft Fair she is selling at tomorrow. It is out town and I think my entire family is planning on coming up to see her. She hasbeendoing a lot of pieces in a lot of prices ranges. I know that this town can be brutal with craft shows but her stuff is extraordinary.

Gotta take the dogs out. xoxoxo

Sharon- oh my goodness, that must have been so scary! I hope that you are feeling much, much better. The amount of storms this season has been insane. Be safe and enjoy the baby.

Trudy- I hope that my insomnia didn't infect you. Sleep better last night??
There is NO such thing as a craft buying problem. It is only a craft *storage* problem.
That sound very smart that your ILs will stay with you Mon-Tuesday. I hope that everything goes well with her appts.
When I was going for mammo/US every 6 months after my Dx, the Breast Center Dr would read them right away. That way if they needed additional images, I was already in the office and the techs could grab me again. It was stressful waiting but not as long as it was waiting for the letters to come.
Hiking and drinking? At our ages when we could fall? Probably not the smartest idea (that I am sure that I never, ever did when I was a teen. ha!)

Cheryl - the skeletons at dinner are fantastic! Right now, we have one at our dinner table but he is all alone and hungry. So skinny you can see his ribs. TFS!! I will show them to Gary.
Is the waterfall on your property?? Amazing!
And is that Daisy, the little grey and white sweetie?

Hugs!!

I am on the laptop but it is acting "flaky" opening pages when the mouse scrolls past them... then jumping the size of the page up and down plus jumping where I am typing to elsewhere in the post. So this will be a short post. My computer is in the shop - not sure how long it will be before I get it back. Will try to pop in every few days to see how things are going. If the problems with the laptop continue, it will go in when mine is done.

good morning - the day is good. My son is here at work and had a zoom meeting that went well for him for that I am glad. Another lovely day. I am watching Call the Midwife. What a great show. Now I am waiting to see if the Devils decide to take a chance on any of the free agents. They traded for a defenseman from Blue Jackets

Chris good luck to Cait on the craft show. She will do well. It should be a perfect day! That is great Scott made it to the final two candidates. I hope this gives him confidence to continue to find that right job! Glad the mammo was good and helps knowing the person.

Kay hope the laptop continues to work a enough to meet your needs until the other is ready.

Have a great day.

Hi Ladies... its a rainy day and it will be crappy weather for the next 5-6 days :mmph: Oh well we can't have sunshine every day right?? Quick in and out of here this morning as I am off to the bulk food store to see if I can find some Halloween stuff to send to the kids. I am pretty much done making their cards and now just need to send along a few sweets with them. I will pick up my grocery order later this afternoon, but want to get out before the traffic gets too bad. Thanks giving was supposed to be a stay at home thing, but seems no one is listening to the good advice and the ferries are jammed packed with people coming back and forth from the mainland. Guess we are guilty too, with the In-Laws coming and staying with us, but they are in our little bubble, so hopefully we will be ok!

Chris - Sending out good vibes again for Scott that he gets this job, but if not it certainly will look good on his resume! That photo that I tried to share with you on facebook was a house all decorated for Halloween with skeletons all over the house and lawn it was really done quite well. I will have to see if I can find it again for you. Sure hope that Leah does well with the craft show, she has done some wonderful things!

Kay - Sorry that you are not having much luck with the laptop! Hope you get your computer back real soon!

Nancy - Nice to have your son with you today! I will have to check out that show you are watching and hope that you enjoy the hockey trade today! Send your nice weather this way please!! I don't like to hike in the rain LOL.

Ok off I go, wish me luck that I find what I need, its always an adventure going anywhere these days :mmph: Have a great Friday everyone!

Good evening!

Chris, SO glad the mamo was okay! I hate those blasted things! Glad it's over for you and came back normal.

No, the waterfall isn't on our property, sadly, but in the area. I included them just because they're a local attraction and part of this beautiful area.

Yes, that's Daisy - my little Labradoodle.

Glad you like the skeleton pictures. Love your joke. Somebody else said "I'll bet their food goes right through them". Hahaha I love puns!

They're nothing compared to Gary's but they were so cute!

Glad you're sleeping better!

Hope everybody has a great weekend.
