I love the "O"
Hi Ozies

it´ s time to open a thread again for me, to talk a little to you.

I had some time off because of my tooth which was pulled out and got hooked with a new series which I found on netflix: "sons of anarchy" (yeah I think I´m not this typical women *lol*). DH and DS don´t like such kind of films or series , which I can´t understand.
I watched all 7 seasons:shock:, in one week .
Why is always in series no happy end ? this really freaks me out, same was at "prison break".
So now I wait for the next season of "Walking dead" which starts in the US October 11th , and season 4 of Arrow started October 7. I have to watch it in english, which is a little bit hard, but it doesn´t matter.
Do you think I´m addicted ?!?

What are your plans for the week end ?

Hey there Astrid!
I am going to change the Subject of the thread if you don't mind. It is Friday and as much as I said that I don't want the days and weeks flying past, I am looking forward to no alarm clock tomorrow!! hahah!!!!!

I never made it back here yesterday and I am sorry. My mom and I left the house around 9.30 and didn't get back until 2.30 which is a long day for me but I did good. The Christmas Tree Shop is a discount store. I wish I could describe it, but it has some regular items year round but adds in a lot of seasonal stuff too. I spent only $20 and got some Halloween things, and a b-day gift for SIL. She loves the NY Yankees and I found a little baseball candy dish with their logo on it. I will fill it with Hershey Kisses a (she is a chocoholic!) and I will be all set.
I really need to go back after Halloween to get stuff on Clearance. i got some great stuff last year for 90% off.

There was a Fairway supermarket across the street and I had always wanted to stop in one but there aren't any near me. It was enormous! They sell a lot of organic type things, and I was able to get Cait some chia seeds and red lentils. I found ginger candies for Gary too. Yesterday, his sugar was very low and his stomach was a mess so he couldn't eat a thing. He was trying to sip juice but even that wasn't sitting well. He was out if ginger candies which help his stomach and are sweet so he will use them in this kind of situation. we were all out and it isn't something that I can find at my ShopRite so I was pretty darn happy.

I got home and gave Cait her chia seeds, the candy to Gary and realized that I had nothing for Scott. I offered him the $1 jar candle I got for the house and he laughed at me. Told me I was like Grandma (my mom) who can't give one thing to one kids w/o doing the same for the other. Guess the apple doesn't fall too far.

By the time I got back, I was pretty darn wiped out, and put my feet up while Cait made dinner.

Today is a quiet day here, some housework to catch up on, and more insurance co. dr billing issues that should have been resolved forever ago. This is the one for cancer Care that keeps billing me even though thay have my referral and my ins co has my referral. Now I have my Final Notice before they send me to collections. This is making me so crazy! I have my notes of the dates I had called and whom I spoke to, etc... But I shouldn't have to keep on doing this!

Anyway.
Same old, same old for me. Hope your days are all happy and fun!

Wed:
Nancy- the statue made the front page of my local newspaper, and I immediately thought of you being there--- very cool! And what are the odds of seeing an old friend in Newark??
That is fantastic that you were part of that drug project and the fact that made it avaialble for free. When I was reading about this the other day I was *amazed.* My family all had/has Babesia which is tick-borne and is like malaria. The generic meds are over $80 month with Gary's co-pay. Mepron-- name brand- well over $1000 a month. This donation to poor countries where they need it the most is just incredible and I can see why you are so proud!

Trudy- love the lap counter, and I am happy to hear how well it is working for you!
Try to choke down some of that dry turkey tomorrow safely. Does she make gravy that is edible? Can you drown the meat in it or will that make it worse? Oooh, I remember last year, you and hubby got really sick after eating at her house, IIRC!

I have to head out, so at least I have Wed done, will be back for yesterdays in a bit

Morning ladies... I am up super early, woke at 3:45 to hit the washroom and just could not get back to sleep again. :hurt: I hate this when it happens!! Hopefully I will be able to crawl back into bed and grab some more  but I am not counting on it. So I guess I may as well makes some breakfast for DH and myself before he heads off to work.

Astrid - LOL I think its cool that you like all those shows, I am not a big fan of the walking dead but my kids love it!! I have seen previews for the Son's of Anarchy so I might just have to check it out on Netflix. Glad that your tooth troubles are better now, enjoy the weekend!!

Chris - Sounds like you had fun poking around in the stores yesterday!! Too funny about getting everyone a little something, I am the same way, feel like I can't buy one thing for one person and not something for someone else. Good thing I don't have 10 grandchildren I would be broke!! :becky: Hope the candies settle Gary's stomach and he feels better today! Yes I will try to choke down the dry turkey and yes she makes gravy but it has so much fat in it that it upsets our stomachs, we are not used to having much fat in our diets. Perhaps I should be the one to check the turkey and just take it out when it looks done LOL. Opps that would be kinda pushy wouldn't it? Oh well I am sure we will survive and I will just have to watch my portion sizes LOL. DH however is on his own LOL. Hope you have a great weekend and enjoy no alarm clock tomorrow!!

Ok off to make some breakfast and hopefully after a bit more sleep I will return to visit here later.

good morning! Had a really fun night with my girlfriends at dinner. We caught up with each other and our kids. Showed off my photos which is always fun. Good food. And my eye exam went so well as there was no change so no new glasses. Saved money so I guess that is good! Today is the home opener for my NJ Devils. So that is exciting. All the kids are coming to the house and then we will drive to the train station for opening night train ride. Should be fun!

Chris glad you had fun at the Christmas shop. That store has so much stuff you really have to look to find the deals. That is funny but I too always feel I have to bring back something for each boy and it must be compatible.

Trudy sorry you are up so early. I am sure your DH will enjoy your company. Take a nap. And I do hate it when I can't go back to sleep.

Astrid I started watching the Sons of Anarchy and I really liked the kid Jax but the violence really got to me. I would just ask my son what happened. I did watch the final show and I agree it was pretty shocking. I don't watch the Walking Dead but my sons love it too!

Jean good to see you and glad things going well!

Have a great day all!

I have a couple of minutes while I wait for Brendan to get out of the shower so I can get in. I *could* call Cancer Care but that is something I really would rather put off a bit. Ha.

So I caught up on Wed, I think so here goes for Thursday:

**interrupting myself to say that all I am going to be hearing is Star Wars Battlefront playing on every available screen today. They released the Beta version and Gary has it on the computer, Brendan had it on his PlayStation and Scott is sleeping still, but will be paying that as soon as he gets up. :hurt: **

Back to Thurs:

Oh my goodness Nancy! How is DH feeling today? The cancer is all gone/caught early? Is it the "good" kind of skin cancer? I hope so. And doesn't he have a blood cancer too? Yikes is all I have to say!Have fun with hockey tonight, is is a home game?

Claire- you are very organized with your b-day gifts. I want to do that, one small thing at a time, but it never seems to work out that way.
Sheesh- even Guy Fawkes (who would have hated state sponsored firework, right???LOL) has to go from bonfires to a big shindig. Crazy!
I am thinking about spring gardens too, and I have to find out when the first frost will be. I have a bee pollinating flower seed mix that needs to get put down. We put some in the spring and they looked great but I want some to bloom as early as possible to get those bees to our house.

Trudy- how is the forecast for tomorrow going to be? Hoping for a sunny day for you! I have a hard time getting gifts cards too, but when I see what my mom goes through trying to find stuff, esp clothes for the kids-- much easier for her to get a GC and they can pick their own stuff out.

jean- Oooh, I have a "Princess" cat too- well she is more of an ogre. hahahah!!!!! But Jaida- she has a personality on her! The trainer for Puppy School is going to help work with her tomorrow to see if we can figure out how to best get her to listen consistently.
GREAT to see you in here too!

Sharron!!! Where are you Sharron!!??? :horn:

Hi ladies... I am back to just quickly say hi and then off to bed, again. As promised here is the finished result of the growth chart for my sister's granddaughter. Hope she likes it, I will deliver it to her tomorrow. Sorry it is a bit blurry, I can't seem to take good photos with my iPhone. :noidea:

We did fasting blood work this morning and it is cooling off and drizzly. Now I've got to finish updating my presentation that I'm giving tomorrow.

Trudy, that chart is so charming. Can't imagine everyone won't be enthralled. Sorry for your early rising, you must have gotten used to those recent good night's sleep. Good luck with the turkey on Sunday!

Nancy, sounds like a great evening you had. Oh well, better to have no change on the eyes and stick with old frames.

Chris, a "princess" cat too? Oh my. Hope your day really is quiet and calm.

Astrid, I've not seen those shows, but I do like some that are pretty intense too. Why not?

Hope it's a good day for all.

hideeho.
I'm still kickin'. Just not feeling very chatty for some reason. Nothing much going on. Although today our friend/golf coach, Greg (lives in Alaska...2nd home in AZ) is laying over here on his way south. We're going to play 9 holes of golf with him before putting him on his next plane. His son attends the school where TODAY's shooting occurred, but Brian was not involved, thank goodness. But, oh, the parents of those who were...... :'(

Trudy, the growth chart is gorgeous.

 to everyone.

Just a quickie from me before I go to bed.
Was on my kindle on Amazon getting a few bits for Robbie's birthday, the film we went to see in the summer has a DVD release around his birth date, so got that, his main present a simple point and shoot camera was delivered yesterday and I got him football light shade for his room that matches his duvet set. I have one of those tall thin gift bags people put a bottle of wine in and we put little things like his favourite crisps, choc bar,pen little note pad etc in so will collect those up next week.

His birthday is always a special day as he is always so appreciative and excited about every gift however small

He has shaky hand syndrome so quite a few of his pics are blurred but in between there are good ones.

Bedtime sleep tight everyone when it's your turn.
