I am trying to stoke myself up. It is going to be a great day. it is it IS!! It is friday (yay) going to have some gorgeous weather (sunny and 70*) doing some shopping with my mom and goign to lunch, and then a 3 day weekend. Sa-weeeeeet!

I just need to get my brain and body a bit more awake so I can fully appreciate it all.

Meg-- hope you were able to get back to sleep ok. I hate that.

Krista-- what else it new? (running running running)?? LOL

Vicki-- oh yuck! I feel ya on the herxing. Its a good thing, its a good thing. Die mold, die!
If you can, try to do some detox stuff- take milk thistle, apple cider vinegar. Lots of fluids. Get those toxins out of your system! And feel better hon!

Trudy- hope that you were able to enjoy lots of sun before the rain.

Clara- hugs, and yes, I had you int he back of my mind as ai was making my mammo appt! You got me through so much last year, and I knew I didn't want to let you down this year. Love ya!
Scott has dysgraphia- it very common with Lyme believe it or not- but most of his teachers have told me not to stress too much about it. As kids get more "technological" in school, more emphasis is put on keyboarding. But I do know how you feel, Ii have terrible handwriting, but his- I don't know how he got to HS with his! Ack!

Oops- Late... gotta go!!!!!:bolt:

morning all - Yeah Friday - 8 hours of work and then the weekend!

Chris- have a great day
Vicki- hope today is a better day than yesterday
Krista- are your running again?
Meg- are you traveling today?
Clara- kudo's to you for persisting with homeschooling- you always make it sound interesting!
Sally- you are a creative juice machine!
Stef- hope today is a wonderful day for you.

Hi to anyone I missed

Wow its frantic friday for most of you!! I am also running out the door soon to work and then the long weekend Yay!!

Chris -I am going to send you that recipe for angel biscuits this weekend I promise!!

Laurie - Hope your workday flys by so you can enjoy the weekend!

Krista - Running again?? Don't fall down now :nono:, perhaps we will see you in the chat room tonight?

Clara - you are my hero, homeschooling your children, I wish I could have done that for my kids, daughter had a terrible time in high school.

Nana - I hope you are feeling better for the weekend and you get all of your cleaning and de-cluttering done.

Sally - I am in awe of what you do and don't know how you do it all??

To everyone else, I hope you have a great Friday

Don't have time but just want to say hi and wish you all a wonderful Friday! We''re in Arizona on I-40 on our way to Reynoldsburg, OH. See ya!! :)

Chris - my husband has severe dyslexia and dysgraphia. He was homeschooled after the diagnosis in the 4th grade, and you wouldn't even know he has it today. In the police academy, everything was by hand, no computers, and he did just fine. When we started dating, the only signs of it were small grammar problems like the there's and to's, but with my degree I learned a few techniques -- And they worked! He was in the top of his class! He always scores highest on the written exams when interviewing. Your DS will make it past this, it's just going to be a lot of work.

Laurie - have fun at work!!!! Today I'm getting to go out into the country and house sit :) one of the perks of having the opposite schedule of my hubby means I can still do things like that! But our real traveling up to OR will be in two weeks :)

Krista - I miss you!!! You keep :bolt:

Trudy - have a fabulous day at work and enjoy your long weekend!!

Sorry for any typos -- Im on my phone.

Like I said, I'm going to be housesitting. It's some family friends of the hubby's, they were part of his homeschooling co-op back in the day :)
I'm going to try and market myself like crazy today, I havent had any paying clients for a long time, and we need the money for the road trip to OR. We leave right before the hubby gets paid again, so we have to stretch today's paycheck out for the whole trip. Luckily my parents want to pay for our return gas, and they're putting us up. So it's just food and supplies and activities we need to pay for. My mom's a massage therapist, and they're tight on money too right now bc insurance companies haven't been paying up as fast!

Well I've talked your ears off enough, killing time waiting for the hubby to get home. He says he has a treat for me??? I hope it's news that the wicked witch is gone.

Hey girlies!!! I'm living in a FINISH-IT-FRIDAY world today!! Sooo many projects at work here!! teeheee!!!

Chris, my kids don't really have the best handwriting, either...I haven't really stressed it until this year. And I let Lil do most of her work on the puter so I can tell she really knows her stuff. Then I make her write letters to practice her handwriting (and I have a handwriting workbook), but to save time, she's learning to type. It works out much better for both of us! :)

Meg, I'm sending happy money vibes to you...just felt like doing that!! I've been researching a lot of financial things lately as Mr Gorgeous's contract is about to end...I do believe that when you diligently believe and work for provision, you will get it! :) So I'm believing you'll get the work you need and your mom will get her ins payments, too!!

Petra, drive safe!!! :) wave when you are North of Houston (I know you'll be really north, but I still love ya!)

Laurie, Krista and Trudy, enjoy work today and all of your running!!! :) Can't wait for this weekend, also!! hugs, girlies!!

I'm still trying to decide whether or not we will have Monday school off next week. I usually giveit off if they write a little something on Columbus, but this year I may need them to just stick to their schedule! It's so hard to get them focused again on Mondays, let alone Tuesday!! We'll see...I have my first craft show on the 16th, so we may just have an easy school week anyway. Gotta check their curriculum to see how hard their readings and assignments are.

Okay...now I'm really off to finish!! LOVE YOU GIRLIES!!!

Good morning ladies,

First of all, thanks for the support regarding the CT. I'm absolutely fine with it - it was a bit of a shot in the dark for me. I can't wait to see what those talented ladies create.

I desperately need to finish up a few things this weekend, but my energy level is in the negatives. Darn pregnancy (haha, what will my excuse be after I no longer have the big belly??). MIL has a bday tomorrow, so we're going to toss something on the grill and have a laid back day for her. It's still in the 90s here, so let's hope there's at least a nice breeze.

Does anybody work from home? I am seriously struggling to stay organized. I think the fact that there are just not enough hours in the day is my problem. I work 40 hrs/wk, babysit from 11-4 each day, plus have a 2 year old of my own AND I'm pregnant. Yeah, it's crazy around here.

Nana - here's hoping the lottery fairies will bless you this weekend and that today is 1000 times better than yesterday. :)

Meg - house-sitting in the country sounds so nice. I hope you guys are able to make enough $$ to make your trip awesome. Also, I hope your mom gets paid soon - I have had various medical issues over the years and I know that a good massage therapist is worth her weight in gold.

Clara - I am so sorry about your friend. Prayers are headed your way for that, and also for your sister's situation.

Chris - good luck with the Dr appointments!

Vicki - hope you guys are all on the mend and back to "normal" soon.

Trudy - any chance you can send a little of that rain down here? I'll gladly take it so you can dry out a little. :)

Sally - your ornaments sound awesome - can we get a photo? Good luck with all the craftiness.

Okay - I hope I didn't miss anyone. Have a great Friday and an even better weekend!

I am taking a break right now....I have been at all day....I have cleaned out two rooms and three closets....YIPEEEEEEEEEEEE...I have three piles in my den now... One for Goodwill....one to sell on ebay and craigs list...and one to take to storage....The storage pile is the smallest...three boxes. Now this is the downstairs....don't even know if I will make it back upstairs this weekend...but I am trying....I am going to clean down there...maybe by tonight...HALF my house will be in order!!!

Stef....always lean on the pregnancy for excuses....IT ALWAYS WORKS  I am sorry about your energy levels..but it will pass!!! We are in the 80's today....I was going to paint my front door...but it's too hot for that!!

Sally.....FINISH IT UP GIRLIE!!!! Wishing you all the luck in the world for this first show sweetie!!!!! and off to get your a virtual check when I am finished here :becky:

Meg....that is awesome that your DH has overcome his "handicaps" so well...if that is what you call them...never know the politically correct thing to say about things like that....But you rock for being able to help him that way!!

Trudy....have a great day at work...and a great THANKSGIVING this weekend!!!!!!

Krista...HI SWEETIE!! Don't run too fast....you get away from yourself!!!!

Petra!!! HI THERE GIRLIE!!!!!!!!!!

Chris...hope you have a great day with your Mom!!!! (((HUGS))))

Petra -- Hi!! You snuck in as I was typing earlier :) Drive safely!!!

Sally -- Aw thanks so much!! I believe the same thing -- one of my favorite tales is George Mueller's. When I was a full-time missionary, it drove everyone else nuts that I didn't spend most of my time fund-raising. But then I'd get huge donations right when my funds would dry up :) It's actually harder on my hubby -- he really hates his job, and has a ton of student debt, so he carries most of the weight, even though he shouldn't.
I say take Monday off, lol! On the History channel there's a show called "Who Really Discovered America" and it explores all of the legends of others coming to America first, and works to prove them right or wrong. It isn't available on Netflix -- but they played it yesterday, so they should play it again on Monday -- when it's actually relevant.

Stef -- I know what you mean, working from home can be a huge mess!! Luckily -- all of my work is done on the computer. Oh and I totally agree about massage therapists being worth their weight in gold! I've been in and out of PT for the last six years, and the best part of therapy was the massages, lol!

Nana Linda -- Lol, I know what you mean. The PC term now is "exceptionalities".... uhm, yeah, ridiculous. It's totally made up, but that's what I was told last year when I took the class covering EVERYTHING an "exceptional" child could have.

Hey Petra- you will be 1 hour 20 min from me when you get to Reynoldsburg, OH!

Just a quick drop in, dinner then dance and work whooped my butt today.
