:dance: TGIF! What a week and I am mostly talking about the news. It is *insane!!!* I try to stay out of politics as much as humanly possible here but dang, it is just spilling over into everything. One bright light-- my girl, Elizabeth Warren-- she is on *fire.* And her Anti-Corruption Platform might just get us through this morass if she is elected.
*off soapbox*

The weather was so strange for the last couple of days. Gary had to put the heat on yesterday. AC Wednesday, heat Thursday. Cool but sunny today so that will be better.

I got to see my friend's new house and it is wonderful- it is so big and sunny! The kitchen huge and has an island and an open layout. Closets everywhere. Tile and Pergo floors-- easy to clean. It needs some work but what house doesn't? I am so happy for her and the kids. I finished and uploaded one scrap page and I am almost ready to finish the second. That means I am already halfway to the number of LOs I did all of last month. I barely squeaked out 4.

I think I am going to stain the table today. This is my first time using a water-based stain. I hope it goes well.

Jean- those pumpkins are freaking adorable! I love how you did the leaves and stem, such cute colors and everything!
The table is the one that I redid- when was it, in the spring? But you are right, not long ago at all. I hated it. The stain was thick and streaky and I lost all of the grain of the wood. Then it bubbled on me and every time I looked at it, I was annoyed. :madgrin: I m planning on painting the LR/DR a light grey in November and as long as I was stripping the table, I am staining it grey instead of the espresso that it was. I hope it all works out nicely.

Nancy- Good idea to sleep in after staying up so late. How was your dinner? I bet you laughed a lot. Good luck to the Devils tonight.

Trudy- what a gorgeous view! Were your legs ok yesterday? It looks like it isn't an easy hike. How was your scrapping?
Oh no, it will be fruit fly season here too- I really better get the staining/poly-ing done before they invade. Will fans keep them from landing on your paintings?

Morning ladies... it is a very grey and rainy day here! I am off to the pool today to get my laps in, only got 20 laps done on Tuesday. I guess that was not bad considering I haven't been swimming since the middle of July. I had a really nice day of scrapping and card making. I am having fun with all the stamps and ink etc. Although I think I could spend a fortune on supplies, even with all the goodies I inherited, I still want more LOL. I am trying to control myself though. I want to make up a few cards for the kids for Halloween, just something fun for them as they love to get things in the mail! I got my page uploaded this morning and hopefully I will another done this afternoon. Chris I will also be halfway to the amount that I got done last month too LOL. It is nice that things are slowing down a bit!

Chris - Isn't it crazy that you had to put the heat on after it being so darn warm. I guess summer is really over with :sad: Your friends new house sounds amazing! I am sure that her and the kids will have many happy years there! I hope that your table turns out the way you want it to this time! So sad that you were unhappy with the last results, so much work to get it all off! I will keep my fingers crossed for you that this time it is perfect! My legs were a bit tired after the hike the other day, but really not stiff or sore surprisingly. Guess I must be getting used to the climbing. What a good idea to put on a fan to keep the fruit flies from landing on my paintings! Thanks! Now I am anxious to get another painting going! I still have the stand up fan in the garage from when I was drying my very large painting. Glad I did not get it into the crawl space yet! I hope you have a nice weekend and that you get to do something fun with your family!

Alright I better get busy and get things done around here and then I am off to the pool. I need to make one stop to the corner store for some creamer for my coffee and then home to spend a nice quiet afternoon doing whatever, before my busy weekend starts. Have a great day everyone!! :wave:

I'm feeling the cold today! What an autumn feel. Class yesterday was good. I finished the drawing started last week (it's on my blog) and started another, both on 12 x 12" papers. Tomorrow it the annual open house for the genealogy group at the historical society, so I've got to get something to make for that. Think I'll take the little pumpkins to add to our usual table decor.

Chris, how nice the friend's house is easy to clean and looking good for them. Sure hope you like the table this time and that painting in Nov. works out. Thanks for comments on the pumpkins. They were fun. Seemed a good use of stuff I've had forever.

Trudy, your hike LO is gorgeous and love what you wrote on it. You sure live in a lovely area. Hope the fan works to keep the fruit flies from your painting. Did you get more laps in today. Of course to me 20 sounds like a lot.

Popping in to let you know I am still around. Spent yesterday afternoon over DD#1's house waiting for her washer to be delivered. Sure looks nice. I may be replacing mine in the next year or so... and like what I see of the one she got. Going back to a top loading machine... can't stand the front-loader.
I had changed purses this week but now I can't hear my cell phone when it is in the purse!!! Grrrr.... DD tried to call me to let me know when they were on the way and I never heard the cell phone ringing. I am not 'attached' to my cell so it usually is in the purse as I don't like carrying it around or in my pocket. Still feeling not up to par... came home worn out from just being out. I fell asleep in the recliner shortly after I got home and napped for over an hour. I don't take naps unless I am sick. Guess I am not quite over whatever I had last week.

Woke up at 4:00 AM this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. Been having rain off and on all day with temp haven't got out of the 60's so it feels like fall has arrived! Need to haul in the longsleeve shirts from the garage. I have a sweatshirt on and thinking I need something hot to drink.

I was working in PSE this morning when suddenly I couldn't resize anything on the LO!!! It had been working fine then **:shock: ** it stopped working! Closed out PSE and did a restart but it was still the same. Looking around and discovered that somehow the 'show bounding' box had become unchecked. Whew... glad it was just an easy fix.

I am ready for another nap... so guess my body is trying to tell me something. CYL
