Gahhhhh!!! It is snowing! :faint:
Get a grip, Faery, it is just snow mixed with rain. (But still.)

The weather sure is not helping my mood and energy levels but at least I know I will be busy today getting some of the food prepped for tomorrow's party. Scott has offered to help since Cait is so busy with school/meetings. But damn, my girl is kicking butt. She got the grade on the paper she wrote from the interview with our neighbor and she got a 95/100. After class, the professor was meeting with the students who wanted additional input. Cait waited to chat and the professor ended up changing her grade. To a 100.
I proofread her paper that was due yesterday on Abortion Rights from a Social Work Perspective- History, Interventions, and Future Implications- wow, she can really write. She joked that it was the first time she ever had to attribute a Tweet in an academic paper. [Emoji with a Halo] was part of it LOL

I ran the laundry and so far so good. *knocks wood* And the dog treats came out -- well, I am assuming that they taste good. W cracks me up, she is so smart. I don't know how she knew they were ready. After they were cooled on the stove, I was putting them into a jar and she came racing over to the kitchen for the crumbs.

Today I have to make brownies for the Oreo Truffle Bats, bake the potatoes for the Witch Stuffed Potatoes, and steam the eggs for our Bloody Deviled Eyeballs. Scott and I are going to work on the drink menu so we can have some spooky drinks too. We found a recipe for Pumpkin Spice White Russians but I have to see what we have in the house and what we will need to buy.
We will probably call the order in so he can either grab it curbside or have it ready at the register. The less time spent indoors, the better. We have had 26 news cases just in the last 3 weeks in my small town. It is not reassuring when my entire family is at high risk. :(

I better get this posted, I have to make sure that Caitlyn is awake soon. She asks me to be her back-up alarm, Funny how when Scott was in HS I would practically have to drag him out of bed but she would be ready to roll. As soon as they were in college it flipped.
Have a wonderful day. hope it is warm and dry wherever you are!

Trudy- the weather is one of the weirder things of 2020. It doesn't make sense anywhere. How and Heather and the boys? Are they going to be able to do something for Halloween?
Oh wow, that had to have been a scary dream, to want to scream but not be able to. Even though I am still not sleeping, my dreams have not been as terrifying. Although my waking moments are scary enough. hahaha!

Cheryl- Ona is the best! Glad that she was able to help. Are you able to get into the private gallery yet? Let me know if you need anything else.
Uh oh, I hope that the paint will look ok when it is all done. It is hard to judge from the paint chips sometimes when it is in the natural light but hopefully, once it is all done it will be fine. The paint I used last year was a pale grey and in some spots, it looks like bright white and others almost a light slate blue.

Rae- Poor Noel. That is the biggest reason why Cait wants to talk to animals- so they could let us know when it is their time. I hope that he isn't in pain. Our best cat ever, Merlin, had an intestinal tumor and I think that we (selfishly in retrospect) waited too long. You know it... it is never an easy decision. Hugs to you and to Jen.
Hope that you had a wonderful day getting "organized" whatever the heck that means! :pound:

xoxo to everyone!

Morning ladies... just wanted to pop in to say hello. DH is home today, he took the day off so we are heading out right away to look for some treat bags and goodies. I swim later on this afternoon and then we are going to have a social distance fire and hot dog cooking with the neighbour kids. Should be fun, but such a strange halloween this year! DH and I are not giving out treats and none of the kids around here are trick or treating, they all have plans with family and getting together in small safe gatherings. I hope that they will be in their costumes tonight! Anyway I hope that you all have a wonderful Friday and I hope to catch up with you all tomorrow!

Good afternoon my beautiful O's.

The weather is gorgeous here! It's 64 here - Daisy and I just got back from a long walk. I had to take my jacket off (I always get warmed up when I walk).

Chris, the paint is gorgeous! Chuck and I went up late yesterday and looked at it. It's perfect! I think Bill panicked because it was a little darker than he thought it would be. We both loved it! I'm anxious to see how it looks today - we're going up there later. I think our kitchen cabinets were delivered today! I saw a local lumber company truck up there and they just left. We're going to give them time to get organized before we go up.

Chris, your food and drinks sound fabulous! Stop! You're making me hungry! Especially with the potatoes. I could eat them 3 times a day.

Thanks for your offer to help. I never did get into the private gallery, but, magically - my LO is in the thread. Weird - I wonder if Ona had something to do with it. LOL Anyway, last night, she said that my post looked good (I'm sure she tweaked it) and was ready to be moved. WHEW! First time is the hardest.

Trudy, enjoy your swim.

I'm back full time (as you know) and I think I'm even okay on my posting quotas. Going to go catch up. I think I have a couple of layouts for designers that can go into the gallery today, too.

Hugs

Missed getting in here yesterday as I was on the run most of the day. Got over to the base and picked up Rx (one is on back-order) and then to the commissary. Didn't need a lot this time. Did a quick unload and stuck freezer and fridge stuff away. Then made a mad dash to the library to drop-off books as it closed at 3PM and I got there at 2:15PM. Stopped at the Post Office [same block] to mail a bill then realized I forgot to put a stamp and return addy label on it. So had to stand in line for 10 minutes to buy more stamps. Stopped at my PO Box on the way home to pickup mail that was there [Mon-Thurs deliveries]. Came home and finished putting groceries away then spent a bit of time reading/recovering. Fell asleep in recline at 7:30 then gave it up and went to bed just after 8PM. Woke up at 4PM so got up and looked at the MiniO's that are on sale this weekend. Worked on a couple of LOs.. still have another one to do.

Chris, so happy for Cait getting such a good grade! Whoo-whee!!! Sorry you are getting the snow/rain now. Our snow is completely melted and the roads are clear.

Cheryl, so glad you missed out on the bad weather. Glad you like the paint. We have a soft sand color on our walls - that changes from very light in the mornings to a golden hue in afternoons when the sunlight shines in. I love it as I can put any color decorations/furnishings in the rooms. Glad Ona was able to help you with getting your 1st hostessing thread done.

DD#1 came over for a quick visit and to pick up the laundry sanitizer I bought for her last week. Really short visit but was good to talk to her and catch up on what is going on.

Gotta dig something out for supper... nothing sounds good right now. CYL

Good afternoon, ladies. I worked and ran errands this morning. It's a sad day and I'm sure the wkend will be too as we come to grips with Noel's diagnosis and prognosis. He has tumors and leukemia. We can prolong his time a bit with IV treatments but we won't let that go on too long. He is still enjoying snuggles with us and eating his fave treats (last night I discovered he loves plain yogurt) but he is really tired, wanting to sleep most of the time.

Bailey will come over on Sunday and I'll take photos to remember him by and will take lots of him with Bailey. It's so hard to lose our pets.

Chris - ugh, snow already.

Trudy - enjoy the day with G and shopping.

Kay - sounds like a busy day yesterday. Hope today is more relaxing.

I'm getting to work now. BFN

Kay, sounds like you've been busy and have gotten a lot done. Even getting up super early after falling asleep early. That would totally be me if I fell asleep early.

I hope our walls look like yours - changing color with the varying light. We went back up to the house this evening and still love the color. I was afraid it might change on the second day, but it's still yummy.

Our cabinets DID get delivered but they're still in the boxes, so we couldn't really see them. I know what they look like, though, and can't wait to see them.

Yes, I'm thrilled to have my very first challenge done and ready to be moved - especially since it was for Momma-O!
