Yesterday I wrote that I would be in panic mode in November. I guess a few days early is not a big deal? Cuz guess whaaaat? I am starting to be in panic mode! [faint smilie]
If you haven't experienced it yourself, it is not a good combination to be panicked and unmotivated at the same time. I am mentally and mentally "blah" yet I like the proverbial squirrel. Must do it all, now, but where do I start? Everywhere, at once!
Please, someone, tell me that they have felt this way.

It was such a nice day outside, the sun felt great. Gary and Scott got about half of the tree rolled away but the parts they didn't move might not be moveable. I am not sure what Gray is going to be able to do about it. They wouldn't even let me drag branches because it was much heavier than it looked. Gary didn't want me throwing my back out. Instead, I started doing some raking which normally wouldn't hurt except when I tripped on the posts that helped up one of the Halloween decorations. That was a jolt and my back is a bit twingy today.

Talked to my dad too, he was able to get into the Dr about his hernia early and yup, he needs to have it surgically repaired. They are going to call to give him a date. He is supposed to take it easy and not lift anything. let's see how well he does with that. mmph.
Scott is going to give him a hand with the leaves in NJ and in PA but my dad --going to be 83 in 2 weeks-- wants to keep up with the 25 yo. Yup, that sound you hear is my eyes rolling so far in my head they hit the back of my skull. *bloink*

I am going to clean a bit here today and then probably start infusing the oil/coffee to make the coffee butter. I have to make sure everything is cleaned and disinfected before I start.

So that is it from me. Hope you are all having a great day!

@bcgal00 Thinking of you, hope you made it through the dental surgery ok!

@taxed4ever hope you aren't floating away from the rain yesterday. Your life seems much more e exciting than mine, you always have fun hikes and so many awesome craft projects going.
My grocery order was perfect- except that I forgot to order milk. I have some shelf-stable boxes of milk that I can use that in cooking so hopefully, I won't need to get more.

Kay- argh about getting woken up by the phone call. It is 39* here this morning and I don't like it. I was out with J a little while ago in my PJs and just about froze. (OK-- that is a *total* exaggeration but I always complain about the cold! hahaha!)
That is too bad about your nice having to cancel. Maybe she will be able to visit soon... *fingers crossed*

@felis I do the same as you very often. I have the need to"fix" things so a lot of time I will give advice when it is not needed or wanted. If you do or say that, I understand where you are coming from.
At this point, I don't know what Gary is going to want to do with the tree. I think it ended up being a bigger project than he thought. My parents buy wood every year for the fireplace in PA and I would love to give it to them, just don't know how.

@Cherylndesigns did you dry out yet or is it really going to rain all weekend?
Oh, I was NOT joking about my bones turning into dust! hahahaha! I have had osteopenia since I was in my late 20s and a strong family history of osteoporosis/arthritis and bone loss. You could touch my one grandmother and she would break a bone. This reminds me I am due for a bone density scan. I got the Rx the same day as my mammo, but wanted to deal with one thing at a time. At least the DEXA is super easy and not stressful.
See this is another reason why I love chatting even if I am boring. You all remind me of things I need to do ;)

@tanteva May your November be filled with clean, white snow!
So what is Sweden's secret to keeping the snow white???? Within hours of the snow falling, it is always dingy-looking here. (Not counting my lawn which turns yellow- but that can't be helped as long as we have dogs LOL)
So smart to cook dinner the night before. Glad that work was decent too.

Ready for the Ark here too, even though it stopped training on Wed, we still have a ton of water in the basement. ughhhhhhhh

HUGS!!!!!

@faerywings I hope you get the tree taken away and your back isn't too terrible today from the twinge!

I had a huge headache all day yesterday - I went into work but wasn't too motivated other than that to do anything. Today the little has a cough - doesn't seem to be sick otherwise but was coughing lots all night, so we kept her home. Thankfully dh (Mark) could stay with her, he just switched his shift from today to tomorrow which sucks as I'll need to do most of the cleaning tomorrow by myself now, but I usually am the one to take time off when she's sick, so it's nice that it's not my worry today. Plus our office is doing Halloween today so I didn't want to miss out on my chance to get dressed up!

K1 (13 years old) also dressed up for school, she's a Starbucks Frappuccino (the fur is standing in for whipped cream). This was before I went to work, she was going to do hair and makeup too - I sure hope she got a pic of it altogether for me.

Have a great day ladies! Tiiiiiiiiiimber! :p

@tjscraps Awesome costumes!
@faerywings I survived LOL but boy, was that brutal. They thought I'd be in the chair for an hour getting the old bridge off and then putting in a temporary until the bridge is ready to place next Friday. But when the dentist got in there, two teeth were cracked on either side of the bridge which was the cause of my pain these last wks. So, I was in the chair for 3 hours, frozen twice and had 2 root canals on top of the bridge work. Needless to say, I had a quiet night. The dogs seemed to understand and were quite gentle with me, Remi kept smelling my mouth and licking me and Taz laid down on top of me and stayed there all evening as I laid on the mat with pillows on the floor (my back was hurting from all the time in the chair). I had a hard time getting to sleep b/c of the pain but once I fell asleep I was out for most of the night, only woke up once for a bit. Glad they will do the hernia surgery, hopefully soon, before he does any further damage. Your dad sounds so stubborn but also, at his age, to be so active is commendable. Some days I can barely drag myself out of bed, never mind being his age. You come by it naturally :) You are always busy too and have things on the go all the time.

I'm glad it's Friday. Don't want to work today but I need to but then 2 days of no work will be good. I will get the dogs out for a walk after my flu shot at lunch time. Then I'll pop into the store for some quick meals for a few days until I feel like doing some batch cooking. I have to eat soft foods for the next wk so veggie meatloaf, oatmeal, mashed potatoes, etc.

Tonight will be quiet and I'll probably get to bed early, I think I'll be exhausted by then. I am ready to crawl back into bed now but need to get on with my day. Thank goodness for coffee.

Morning O-zies!! Guess what?? Yup its still raining LOL. Oh well that is what it is like here on the Wet Coast. Really it does not bother me too much, guess I just became accustomed to it growing up here. I know many people that have moved here from the prairie and they can't stand it and move back. It is actually supposed to clear up this afternoon and the sun hopefully will be around for the weekend. We need to get into the back yard and cut back a few more bushes and pick up all the debris from the last storm. So it will be another busy weekend! I actually got another page completed that I will have to post this morning and got the treat bags made for the neighbour kids.

@faerywings - Chris, I totally relate to your feelings about getting things done and being in panic mode, that has me written all over it LOL. Glad to hear that your Dad will be getting his hernia looked after! Yup darn stubborn Men, it must be that generation as Gary's Dad who is 87 is exactly the same way! Oh heck I think its just a MAN thing as my Gary is the same way too. Sorry that you twinged your back again, take it easy today. Hope it feels better by tomorrow! Sure great that Scott will be helping your Dad out with the leaves, hopefully he doesn't try to keep up with the young man!

@tjscraps - Love your costumes! What great imaginations you have! I would never have thought to be a Starbucks Frappuccino!! Too cute! sorry you had the headache all day yesterday, nice that your DH stayed home and gave you the day off of caring for the sick little! Love your lumberjack costume! You could go and help Chris out with removing the tree in her backyard!! :)

@bcgal00 - Oh my Rae, 3 hours in the chair!!! no wonder your back and mouth are sore!! My jaw would be screaming as I have TMJD and need to have a block to clamp down on when I have work done. UGH!! So sweet that the dogs knew you were in pain and that something was wrong. Hope you can get through your work day without too much pain, take a nap sometime today and take care of you!

Ok I am off to the grocery store to pick up my order and then will get my layouts posted in the gallery and get some behind the scene things done too. Have a great weekend ladies! If I don't get back here over the weekend, then HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

@taxed4ever Hahahaha I never thought of that, I could totally help! Plus, free firewood lol (we're big campers). My mom wanted to move out to the island at some point but I think the weather would get to her. I'm coming to Vancouver late November, hoping it's not too cold (it'll be warmer than here for sure!!)

@bcgal00 Dental pain is the WORST. I just had a filling to do in my wisdom tooth and the dentist wanted to just pull it, I refused - when he pulled the other side 2 years ago the pain was worse than either of my c-sections. So, no thank you! I can't take Advil now because of Frankentummy, so nope nope nope. Hope the pain is ok today for you!

Afternoon Lovely O's.

I feel like I'm coming down with something - been sneezing my head off. Yes, Chris @faerywings It's still raining, though not hard. It's so damp and cold! It got cold too fast! It's supposedly 51 but it feels like 31. I even popped the fireplace on this morning. It really takes the chill off the air. Chris, I'm sorry you really do have problems with osteo - I wasn't making fun of that - I didn't know, but just the way you said it. Almost everything you say tickles me, though - just the WAY you say things. I was just telling my DD that the DEXA test is THE easiest test EVER and she needs to get one. If every test was that easy - it would be a breeze.

Sorry to hear about your dad needing hernia surgery.

Rae @bcgal00 I'm hurting for you! As I said, I've had more than my share of dental pain. I agree with Tina @tjscraps I think it's the worst! It sounded so sweet that the dogs knew and they can smell anything medical!

Trina @tjscraps both of the costumes are adorable. Halloween is just so fun especially when work lets you dress up.

Trudy @taxed4ever have you started on that ark yet? I hope it does clear up for you and you get some sun. Send some my way if you do.

Hugs to everybody.

Hi, girls!
I'm not much excited about November, neither. Do you remember when we was children, so impatient to grown up and being independent, and no one can tell us anymore what to do. Ughhh, this probably works only for the earlier 20s, and I just hate how after that adulting covers you up in tight net of obligations, from which have no escape. I don't want to betray my childhood hopes! So I'm very good in procrastinate and postpone unpleasant tasks. I'm not reckless, but I can honestly and expressly to categorize something as urgent or not, and then it will be made immediately or put in folder 'on hold'. After that I don't overthinking or even rethinking. And so on until November, as December is able only for celebration and joyfully stuff, so November has the honor to be the month when this folder 'On hold' have to be emptied and all tasks checked off. Ugh, I'm not happy at all, I reviewed the schedule and there are so many things: prophylactic appointments with the GP, bank visit, and everything else adult torture. It not sounds as an interesting or funny period.

Chris, don't worry, it's become a kind of cute tradition you to get panic and overdramatise the Christmas preparation, as if it was pop up from nowhere totally surprising.
Sorry to hear that your back is giving you trouble again, get well soon! And also sending healing vibes for your dad's surgical!

Trina, both costumes are so cute and funny! I hope to show us the finished Starbucks Frappuccino, but even at that stage is so cool and creative! Oh wait it's a Frappuccino, so actually it is so hot and creative! The lumberjack cracks me up too, it's hilarious. I can get out of my mind one TV commercial song lyric that says: ''I did some manly stuff, I chopped down the tree.'' It's so, just LOL! Love the beard, sooo in mood for the upcoming Movember!

Rae, oh that sounds really awful! Hope that your fur emotional companions really are helped a bit!

Trudy, I hope that the weather will allows you to make all garden work that you're planed! Or if not, that you'll be able to enjoy on one cozy craftsy weekend!

Cheryl, so sorry to hear that you don't feels very well, get better soon! It's not surprising with all that rain!
