Just a super short post from me, I am honestly not feeling terrible. My head hurts and my skin hurts but no fever and no muscle spasms. I'm going to take it easy today
Yesterday was fine, nothing crazy happen. I made "squasta" for dinner-- butternut squash "alfredo" over pasta. There are plenty of leftovers so I don't have to cook tonight.
As long as I am being lazy today I need to check in with BFF and my dad. She is still having a tough time with her mom. One of my dad's best firefighter friend died over the weekend and I know that is getting to him. He spoke to his younger brother and his best friend died the other day too. My mom said that my dad is very depressed. I wished that there was much more emphasis on and help for mental health in seniors.

Today, I have a couple of Color Play pages to upload. Those kits are always incredible every month.
I am off to get something to eat so I can take more Advil

xoxo

Quick in and quick out again today. Struggling with a headache.
I, too, @faerywings , have some Color Play pages to post. LOVE the variety from the designers! Glad you are not suffering too much from the vax!
Yesterday was a wonderful day with my dear friends, Ilene and Carolyn. We drove to Ilene's doctor so she could get her flu shot. Then we went to breakfast. We stopped by my house on the way back to get the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter scrapbook so they could look at it. I have only gotten 100 pages printed so far. I have at least 32 more ready to print. I've got a few more pages to create before I will be totally done. I need to get a different scrapbook because I created the pages as 2-page spreads, so the 3-ring binder they are in right now doesn't give the same overall effect as a hinged scrapbook will. This book is going to be QUITE an investment by the time I get it finished!
Anyway, after stopping by the house to get the scrapbook, we went to Ilene's to set up Qwirkle shop, LOL! Ilene lives about 8 miles from me. Carolyn lives less than 4 miles from me and on the way to Ilene's. We played Qwirkle until about 6:30 last night! When I got home Mark had his own meal in the works. He had texted me to make sure I was OK because he heard ambulance sirens about the time I was to arrive home. He said, "no hurry, just want to make sure you are OK." Love that guy!
Anyway, that was my day yesterday. Today is going to be a pajama day!
Have a great day!

Gppd morning all.

I'm going to get ready to go to Walmart with Adrienne after lunch. They're having a big Halloween party tomorrow night and she needs some last-minute things. I got a 70's flower child costume from Amazon - it's very cute, but I need some funky glasses - cheap ones because I'll never wear them again. Wally's has some shaped like stars. LOL I have to wash my hair tomorrow and she's going to blow it dry - nobody wore curls in the70's*gasp*. I got a cute headband and a peace sign necklace and earrings with the outfit. One of the earrings came w/o a hook (that goes through the hole in your ear, so I'm not sure if I can fix it or not. I'm going to look for something today. I'm hoping they have "findings" there, but I'm not holding my breath. I I can find some clip -ons, I think I can take those apart and put the peace signs on them.

Chris @faerywings sorry you're having a semi bad reaction - take it easy today and rest up. Hope your arm isn't sore!

Vicky @vickyday hope your headache goes away soon. They're hard to live with.

Talk later and happy Friday.

Good morning ladies. Just a quick hello this morning. We are going back to Costco for a few things (D wants to check for lined jeans now that the weather is starting to get colder) and Jen wants one of the pork loins if it is still on sale. Then over to Canadian Tire to look for Xmas lights. Later this afternoon I'll work on my CT stuff and take the dogs to the park. Remi needs some good exercise today. She was bouncing around the LR last night at 10, wanting to wrestle and play, not go to bed. That's a sign that she didn't get enough exercise yesterday :)

@faerywings It's good that you are taking it easy today. So sorry to hear of your dad's depressed mood.

Gotta go, HAGD everyone.

Good Morning everyone!! Checking in with all of you and trying to get some back room work done for the end of the month. It's been a crazy month to say the least! The purging and saga of selling the family home and getting the In-Laws moved closer to us continues but with little success! The house went on the market a while back and right away there was some interest, but the couple who viewed it thought that the house was too dated and needed too many updates for them. Yes, its an older house, but has been very well taken care of and we always knew if anyone bought it, they would buy it for the property and the shop, not the house. MIL and FIL can't buy anything until they sell period!! So a few weeks go by and not much activity on the property, but you have to realize that there is a small percentage of people who can actually afford to buy a 2.5 million dollar piece of lake front land. The Mortgage rates have risen and now the housing market is very slow and the prices are dropping. The In-Laws have decided to take the house off the Market and just stay where they are for now. As we are all pulling our hair out and trying to figure out what to do next, we will let this play out and see what happens. FIL's vision is worsening, MIL is barely able to get around as her back and hips are riddled with arthritis and now the wet weather will only make the pain worse. We won't be able to get them on the bad winter days, because of where they live and how bad the mountain passes get in winter. FIL still has not heard anything from the Doctor about getting angioplasty done and he really should not be driving at all anymore, however no one has taken his licence from him yet. I have been very busy trying to help them purge and have sold a lot of items that they simply do not need anymore. I think I am done with that for the time being. Now moving on to SIL Linda, she has sold her place and will be moving into her new home down at the bottom of our hill on November 15. I have been busy with helping her also and trying to get a bunch of packing done and will be there to help her settle into her new home too. Life is crazy and this dealing with aging parents is not a fun job! I love them dearly, but oh my they can be difficult at times. I bite my tongue and remember that one day I will be in their shoes and who knows if any of my children will be around to give us a hand when we need it. I have been trying to get my Calendar done also in between all of the other things that I am doing and only have two done so far. I hope to do another at some point today. Oh but wouldn't you know it, I need to go visit my sister this afternoon, we haven't seen each other for a long while and how can I say no?? Also my other sister who is raising her granddaughter has announced that her granddaughter's Mother(my sister's youngest daughter) has Bowel Cancer and is not expected to make it, it is very far advanced and I am sure that the fact that she is a drug user and lives a horrible lifestyle will not help her outcome at all. I can't imagine what they are all going through and I really need to touch base with her again today. Life is a mess right now, so it is good that I am not too active here right now as I would not be very good company!! I miss you all and think of you all every day!! Please know that I love you all and I hope to return to this place in the next month or so???? Who knows!!

Oh Trudy, I'm so sorry that your life is such a "mess" right now. I give you tons and tons of gold stars for all you do for your family. Not just your IL's, but all of your family. I'm sorry to hear about the cancer diagnosis. That's so sad and as you said, her lifestyle isn't going to help her in any way. Thanks for checking in and we all miss you. HUGS
