*whispers into the ether* tgif....??????
yeah, yeah, it *is* Friday. I know that for sure. But is anyone else's head 150% spinny today? Maybe an *extra* 150% spinny? I honestly am not sure how I, nor anyone else in the US, is gonna make it out of here in one piece.
I woke up at 4 am because dogs were pushing me off the bed. I was able to rest a bit, but by 5 am I knew I wasn't getting back to sleep. Grabbed the phone, checked the news. Iy yi yiiiiii.
It is not in my nature to wish ill on anyone. I just simply don't care if DT gets sick or not. I am giving him the same level of concern that he has given to the rest of us. Actually- since I don't really care, that is nicer than the disregard he had for us in the "blue states" when the pandemic first began.

Since it is one of those days, I am going to sign off before I offend anyone. Never my intention. I know that I have expressed my political views here more than I should and for that, I apologize.

Trudy- it was just me and you yesterday. I am so happy that you were able to go on the hike. That is so sweet of your Gary's co-workers getting you the GC, the place looks lovely! Although, I am not sure how I feel about the photo of the pigs... :(
I hope that Hunter feels better, maybe just allergies? *fingers crossed*
My town's schools went from remote to hybrid yesterday. Thankfully, NJ's transmission rate is still low even though cases are increasing.

HAGD!!!
BIG hugs to everyone!

Morning ladies... Well what can I say?? :tape: probably best to say nothing at all about the breaking news this morning :eyebrows: Like Chris I would never wish that anyone be ill. But.... I certainly won't be sending healing vibes out to the Universe for DT! My DH took the day off today so that he could have a long weekend and get some rest and relaxation for a change. Things have been pretty hairy at work for him lately and he needs the break! Our supper last night was so nice! We had the Prime Rib of course and it was cooked to perfection! We sat outside and it was lovely, but we could not see the stars because of the smoke :mmph: It was still up high so we couldn't smell it or anything, but on the way home the moon was full and huge, but hard to see because of it. It is so cute at the restaurant they have a ginger cat that wanders around and visits with everyone outside along with a beautiful rooster. The poor rooster got kicked out of the chicken coop by the other roosters and now has to spend his days hanging around the restaurant keeping the quest company and crowing every once in a while. Here is a photo of the Rooster, but I never thought to get a photo of the cat darn it.

So DH are heading out for a bit of hike today, the fog has lifted and there is still a bit smoky haze but it is a lovely sunny day!

Chris - Yup I totally agree with you and don't really care if DT gets very sick or not. How can you have any kind of feeling for such a horrible human being?? I hope that you are able to have some sort of normalcy today and that you get outside and enjoy the day! Yes Hunter is doing much better today and Heather thinks maybe he just had a froggy throat or something, because he is totally fine this morning and happy as can be LOL. Sorry about the photo of the pigs LOL.

Ok off to shower and then I need to the coupons made for the last month's challenges. Have a great day everyone! Hi to everyone who pops in today!

DH had a procedure this morning and while I waiting I worked on drawings of Rita. At first just fairly realistic and then going more in my abstract direction. Want to share with Chris & fam where I've gotten so far. It was ink, colored pencil and collage then a little watercolor at home.

DH is napping now and I'm peeved they didn't have me in there when discussing the exam, so have to see if he can tell me more than the rather impersonal printed summary.

Chris, the news these days is not fit for you to hear but we all know that isn't going to stop you from overdosing on it. Sure hope you're finally not re-injuring the pulled muscle. I do have to keep some track of the days (thanks to calendars including on the computer for help with that) so I don't miss meeting or deadlines. Or at least know I've missed them?

Trudy, I never got to compliment you on that turtle painting. It is beautiful. And the dragon card must have been a hit. I wonder at your hike not being that much of a hike when it was plenty long from my point of view. Good that you had a new place that allowed distancing and clearer skies. Hope the little guy takes to Pre-K soon.

Cheryl, you are also really getting in the walking exercise, not just distance but elevation. You seem to be settling in to this phase of construction and shopping for the house.

Kay, for you, I'm still hoping the computer woes are waning and the weather is nicer.

Nancy, hope you come by sometimes. Feeling in a funk is pretty common and we probably all would agree with you on it. Hope DH is finding teaching not too bad. At least Luther will be happy with cooler days.

Have a good weekend (for those who can tell it is one.)

Ooops, Trudy, we cross posted again. Love the rooster and the idea of him and the cat as company for that wonderful Prime Rib dinner.

First I will be brief because I can be mean...but I wish the same level of concern for DT as he did for the family of John McCain after his passing...enough said.

My area in Louisiana is doing better in Covid- our numbers are down so restrictions are lifted. Masks are required, but bars are open with strict restrictions. Still waiting to hear if our DD can come home for Christmas from Japan...travel restrictions.

Jean..your drawing is beautiful
Trudy..Prime Rib Yum!
Chris..Hope Hunter is ok

Been busy lately taking care of my grandson (6 1/2 months) most days-what a darling, but teething is going to be the death of me! lol My 94.9 (95 on Oct. 15) is fine, but has had alot of set backs lately. I finally got to visit him after 9 months (Covid restrictions). I can now visit him for 30 min a day but I live 3 hours away, so it is a journey on this 62 yo back!

Happy DSD...here goes the money!
