TGIF for realz!!! After yesterday's coffee fiasco you would hope that todays would be better. But nooooooooooooo....... Gary cleaned it all out, when I set the pot up last night, I made sure the filter was all tight in, and again! More coffee issues. Dammit! You do NOT mess with my coffee in the morning. Makes me sad....
I am trying to make the best of it, but its not easy. Its cold and too strong and has grinds. Bot, OTOH- it has caffeine. Guess that is the important part.

Then to add into the aggravation of the morning, one of my cats threw up three times. Not just hairballs, nope-- vomiting all over. So I am walking around my house, grumbling at no coffee, grumbling at cat puke. And it is only 6 am. Sheesh!

(I know, serious first world problems....)

heh.

But it is Friday and Spa Day! So looking forward to this. We go to De Pasquale's. If you watch Real Housewives of NJ (I don't, personally-- I *am* a real housewife of NJ and my life is not even close to theirs LOL), it has been in that show-- very upscale (and somewhat intimidating). But my mom gets SIL and I GC's and we go and get pampered-- massage/facial/mani/pedi. 4 hours of heaven. Then I come home and *poof* its all gone. But four hours of heaven is better than nothing!!

I am going to try and see if I can squeeze out a bit more coffee from the grinds. brb!!

Ok, I have another cup of coffee, boy you know you are a coffee addict when you try to rescue mud from the pot. LOL

I am sorry I missed everyone from Wed, but I am gonna try and catch up from yesterday.

Laurie- did you get everything done yesterday? That was a big list there!

Phyllis- I know, its funny that coffee pot issues could be such a big part of my morning :pound: But its true (as I try to choke down this cup of stuff that looks somewhat like coffee).
A gun! eeeeep!
How did you do at the range? I had to chuckle at your commentary--between the prep on getting pulled over to imagining the instructors face. too funny!!

PS: YOu know that guns are the the worst weapons for the Zombie apocalypse? Cross bows-- that is the way to go. Silent, and goes a good distance. get em in the eye. LOL

Terry- hope that you had a relaxing and joyful night! After that horrible news, I am sure that you needed a bit of rejuvenation of the soul :)

heather- can I have your life,please?? :D

Andrea- hugs to you, you have such a good perspective on life and I hope that you can help Genny as well. It must be so incredible hard to not be able to help her or to figure out her triggers of why one day she is fine and then next day she is not. DO you have a good support in the school for her, I hope so.

Trudy- Happy and Safe driving!!!

Ugh-- way way late...... gotta go.. xoxoxo!!

Oh Chris...nothing worse than coffee pots that go awry! But if there is a day that is ok without coffee...it would be a day where you are headed to four hours of pampering!! Sounds delightful!

I, on the other hand am headed to work. But it is Friday so I'm clinging to that little piece of good news.

Chris, no one was hurt in the makling of the film "Phylis Goes to the Shooting Gallery." i actually did much better than i thought i would do. the instructor showed us the huge number of holes in the ceiling from people really screwing up when they were aiming. i didn't hit the ceiling. i was always in the area of the target where i was supposed to be. which was amazing. one problem, though. i think i need my reading glasses to actually be able to SEE the thing on the gun that i'm supposed to use to line up the shot. so, i'm thinking that if it's the side of a barn that i need to hit, i'm gonna be good.

on a happier note, have FUN at the spa!! it sounds amazing!!

Linda, hope you make it through the day with a smile, even though you had NO SLEEP!! :faint2:

gonna drive the DD to the airport this morning. she and another friend are going to NYC to try to check out a guy that one of her friends is marrying, even though he's 10 years older than she is and she's only known him for 7 months. i told her to tread carefully. don't get between a friend and "true love," no matter how bad it looks. a quote i once heard in some film seems appropriate: "One cannot be wise for other people."

after the trip to the airport, i have to do the new products post for Anna in the forum, then do some baking for me so i have something low carb to stuff in my mouth for breakfast. and WHAT is for dinner?? sigh....

enjoy Friday. in fact, try to enjoy EVERY day. :becky:

Phylis...the what's for supper dilemma...a constant question here...

And I love that quote. I should memorize it and play it in my mind frequently!

Good am - today is going to be raining here in Jersey - I really dont like rain. So I will scrap to my hearts content!

Phylis - my sons and husband and their friends love to go to the shooting range. My son the Marine loves to keep his shooting skills intact and the others try to best him. They rent the guns from the range and love trying out the different guns.

Chris - enjoy the Spa!

Laurie - have a great vacation

Have a great day!

Good morning!

I'm so glad it is Friday. Decided I am taking off early! Going golfing with one of my docs that retired a couple of years ago. Although, he still works for us part time. Anyway,- told him I would take off early and for him to keep his mouth shut and not tell the other docs that I'm taking off. Ha! Really doesn't matter--they wouldn't care---just like to joke with him. I'm off at noon! Golf. Then dinner. Football game tonight.

Having a big scrappers block on a LO I need to do for a creative team I'm on. Maybe this weekend something will come to me. Sure hope so.

Here's to Friday! Enjoy!

Hey everybody.
When I came downstairs to start my day this morning, my poor old cat Gravy was lying at the bottom of them, kicking her feet and making strange noises, and then she just... died. She'd been old and had been slowing down and hiding a lot, so it's not totally unexpected, but it was not the way I wanted to start my day. Boo.

Morning my favourite "O" friends! :rain: here again today, I knew that once it started it was never going to stop!! Short day of work for me today and hooray its Friday!! MIL and FIL are coming over around 1ish they are having some issues with the dvd's they had converted from vhs and wanted me to look at them. Not sure what I will be able to do for them, but its nice that they asked! Then I think that MIL wants me to take her back to the place that did the conversions and get some more done. Anyway she is having a difficult time with all this church closing stuff, so I invited them to supper and MG thinks we should take them to the Rock Cod Cafe, a favourite place on the Ocean nearby that serves amazing sea food. I told them to pack their pj's because they are not happy about driving home in the rain in the dark. Hope the evening goes well!!

Chris - Lucky you!! Have a wonderful time getting pampered today! You deserve it my friend! Sorry that you are having coffee pot issues! I can picture you trying to get another cup out of your machine and grumbling while trying to clean up cat puke too!! Not a fun way to start the day! But it will all be forgotten once the pampering begins!!

LindaS - Could you please come and be my boss! We need someone here who knows how to make up a schedule for work and not make everyone want to quit work! TGIF!! Hope you enjoy your weekend and its not too busy for you!

Laurie - Wooot!! Vacation time again! You have the best vacation schedule by far!! Just a few more hours and you will be on your way!

Phylis - Glad that your day at the range went well and that you did not shoot anyone LOL. Hubby is RCMP and has always had a gun, however he has never kept his gun anywhere in the house that me or the kids ever knew about. He never wanted us to ever be able to be near it, so he had a secret place for it under lock and key. He did not bring it home after he started working in the plain clothes division it has always been at the office and now that he will be retiring in January I'm sure the gun will be returned and we will never own another. But you never know, its a scary world out there!!

Eva - :pound: you kill me!

Have a wonderful Friday everyone!!

my goodness girls, you've all been so busy... wish I coulda gone along to the shooting range... hee hee what a blast... literally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been ratha busy this week cleaning and a scrubbin the house down. Now I have a blasted cold, but at least I still have energy. I am due in about 10 weeks, and I always have the baby so darn early so my theory is if I have everything READY for once, then nothing will happen and I will make it to my due date. I'm getting sick of poking my fingers all the time, the stupid glucometer they gave me sucks @ss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't turn the needle lower or I have to squeeze the PI$$ out of my finger, but the one up is too you know, PAINFUL and it shouldn't be and I bleed all over the place from it :( ick, I feel sorry for all the true diabetics out there, I mean, I'm getting used to it, but still it's pretty sucky all the same!!!!!!!!!!!! and the worst part is trying to remember to eat every 2 hrs. Honastly if you've never dealt with diabetes you have no idea how life changing it is. Good thing everyone gets used to it, but I now what my mom and brother go thru now on a daily basis and it's so discouraging when you see your numbers high and you didn't even eat sugar. makes me MAD
ok, i'll stop whinning, I'm doing perfectly ok anyways!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HUGS TO ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Andrea, i'm so sorry about your kitty. what a terrible thing. i live in fear of my cat passing away. he's 10, and the oldest pet i've ever had. oh, how attached we get to these little guys.

Jen, your feeling about having actual diabetes is really true. you have to have your head up your a** 24/7. i hate it. and i'm not even on any medication or insulin. i hate diseases that you have to PAY ATTENTION to. so, hopefully this will be OVER in a few months for you, and you can kidss the Big D good-bye!

Trudy, it actually sounds like kind of a nice day with your in-laws! especially the dinner by the sea thing!! hope it turns out lovely, in spite of the rain.
