The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
I will absolutely not complain about the weather the last couple of days and today. There has been nothing to complain about, it has been gorgeous! The only "downside" was how I started to think that Wed and Thursday would have been terrific days to go down the shore. I looked ahead to next week and there are two days that might possibly work and I will call my mom and see what she thinks. We can wait a couple of days and see how it plays out - maybe.

Haha, I am glad that I post all of my ramblings here. I completely forgot that I wanted to finalize the F-Ws recipes and orders today.

Since I am positive that you all wondered what my decision was, I cooked the chicken in the crockpot. I am not crazy about the texture of it but then again, I filled up more on the stuffing anyway. I was glad I did so all I had to do was prepare the stuffing after I got home from cleaning. ShopRite makes a vegan "chicken" seasoning so I made the stuffing with veggie broth and the seasoning and it came out really good.

*grabs soapbox*
If you are friends with me on FB you might have seen my post already but I need to keep yelling about this situation because I am so angry. Do you remember how a few months ago I was talking about bumping into my niece's best friends with the rescued turtle? If not, it isn't a big deal, just that this is about her and her friends and where they worked. They had gone to the police and nothing happened, then they went to a reporter who documented everything they said and boy oh boy, those girls saved a lot of documents. Naturally, I am very concerned about the animal welfare issues that are a big part of it. But the worst is the sexual harassment all of the female workers went through from the owner. All of them had stories to tell and the police did nothing. Basically an "all in your head" BS excuse.
The more I think about this the more pissed off I am. I have 2 kids and my SIL has two girls. Three out of the four of them have had to go to the police to report sexual abuse and harassment of their friends and in my niece's case, of herself as well.:mad::mad:
My kids had to testify in court and it looks like my niece will too- after the piece was published in the paper yesterday (front page no less), Rizzo was arrested. Not sure for which of the offenses. I don't know if my youngest niece will have the same type of experience as her sister and cousins and I hope to all gods that she doesn't. Either way, this is TOO DAMN COMMON.
I am so angry that my niece was blown off. I am amazed that my BIL and SIL didn't show up on Rizzo's doorstep. I am so freaking *proud* of the Campbell kids for doing the right thing even when it sucks. How the heck does this happen over and over and over?
I am sad and angry and proud and all of that is a very strange combination. Thanks for letting me rant.
*puts soapbox away*

On to my plans for today... F-W's stuff. Maybe if Cait or Scott or Gary have some free time, we can take the dogs to the park.

xoxoxo

I'm super tired today. Work yesterday was draining. Good thing I only work 1 day a week! Trying to keep the feeling of vacation in (on? whatever) the front of everything, and ignore the idiot, but it's not easy.

But now it's Friday. Urban just got home from work, I'm going to make some stew or something along those lines & cook some rice. First proper home cooked meal in days, it will be great.

Bought cheese & crackers for tonight as well. Think I'm going to convince Urban to re-watch the movie Yesterday tonight. Have you all seen Yesterday? It's a lovely story about a guy that finds himself in a parallell universe, where he's the only one who remembers Beatles. Amazing story. I loved that movie, and I think that's just what I need tonight. As you know: All You Need Is Beatles!

Kay- How awesome to see the balloons up in the sky, bet they look inspiring. That is chilly, 42* -- but all of the fuzzy socks and fleece and tea make it seem so cozy.

@taxed4ever How did your body feel yesterday after that big hike? I bet the views were gorgeous.
Scott's supervisor has been laid back this past month about him hiking while on the job and he has been able to log a lot of miles. Tomorrow is his last day and I know he is going to miss it.
I have been having a harder time getting out of bed too, it is dark and chilly and the dogs are soooo warm and cuddly. ;) Sorry that your day was spent doing all of the adulting fave's. mmph. Mason changing his mind every day about his costume sounds very familiar, hope Heathe can convince him to pick one and stick with it soon.

@tanteva uh oh, that does not sound like a fun time back to work. Enjoy watching Yesterday with Urban tonight. I never heard of that movie.

hugs!

Morning O-zies! It is dark and gloomy out this morning, lots and lots of rain coming our way. It will be a good day to stay inside. I put off doing my grocery order yesterday. I took a look at what I really needed and decided it could wait until the weekend, there was nothing that I was really out of and DH had enough milk to last him for another couple of days. So instead of picking up groceries, I decided to go the little craft store that I love so much. I picked up a few things for card making and came home to start a birthday card for our Daughter-In-Law Jackie. I hope to finish it this morning and get it in the mail. It will most likely not arrive to her in time, but hopefully she will like it! I need to finish my Halloween cards for the kids today and will do my first calendar page this morning also. My day will be full of crafty goodness!

@faerywings - Chris I am so glad that the weather has been great for you lately, to bad you could not be down at the shore with your Mom to enjoy them though. I am so sad that the police have not taken all of these complaints seriously! How terrible that your niece and her friends have had to endure this! No wonder you are mad! I would be too!! So proud of your kiddos though! Hard for me to imagine the police being that way as that is so NOT the way my hubby was when he worked for the major crimes unit and throughout his whole career. There are many that should not be in that line of work, but many that are very compassionate and good at policing. Remember that they are not all bad. Ok I will now step off of my soapbox LOL. I hope you get your faerywing things all organized today and your dinner last night sounds so yummy!! I was surprisingly not stiff or sore after our hike, it sure was good to be out and get in some good cardio with all that climbing! The views were great!

@tanteva - Eva sorry that you are dealing with more workplace drama! It is easier to work with men, they don't gossip and they really don't bitch that much LOL. I hope the movie will bring a smile to your face! I have seen Yesterday and enjoyed it very much also.

Should be getting a facetime call from Heather right away, so I will sign off here and do some gallery browsing in a bit. Have a lovely Friday everyone!

Morning all.

I didn't post yesterday! Bad Cheryl! Yesterday was crazy - our little Kinleigh is here! They made it from Michigan without the airports or airlines shutting down. I was so worried about that. They had a layover of course, so with all the craziness, I figured they'd have a problem. She's SO sweet - we passed her around like a football and she never complained once. I guess she never even whimpered on all of those plane rides. They even took her to the football game last night. LOL What a little 9 month old trooper.

Chris @faerywings Daisy lays with her paws crossed all the time. She's SO funny - we call her "ballerina dog" because she stands in "first position". I knew you'd love the skull headband. She hates her headbands and hats, but endures the horror. LMBO

Good to know about the online glasses. I didn't NEED new glasses, but they said they'd write the prescription, if I did, and I could take them anywhere. That was nice.

It's still raining - UGH. third day now. It's so dreary, too.

Eva, @tanteva I'm sure you're glad to be home.

Kay @BrightEyes pajama days are wonderful. I have a joke about changing from my "day pajamas" to my "night pajamas". I wear tights and big t-shirts all day, so I feel like I never get dressed. I only get dressed if we're going someplace.

Trudy @taxed4ever sounds wonderful to go to a craft store. Hope you enjoyed it! I miss that - we have to drive an hour to get to anything.

Should is "barking" - I've been up for a few hours and haven't put my harness on - it's letting me know.

Hugs to all.

We just finished Yesterday - gee that movie is better than Prozac! I effing love it. It was available on Netflix in Sweden before, but not any longer. Maybe in other countries? I highly recommend it. There's especially one thing I really LOVE about it, but I won't tell if someone decide to see it. Don't want to spoil it.

About the work issue. It's nothing new that's happened, other than the fact that a 38 yo woman act like a 14 yo high school drama queen, and decide to not talk to me (and Urban), even though we were working the reception together for hours. Imagine trying to work along side a person who doesn't even say "hi" when you get to work, and then doesn't speak (other than to customers) for 5 hours?! I don't take it personally, she's the one who was wrong in the first place, and it's just plain silly behaviour. But ... I do get p*ssed. I think mainly because she reminds me of my mom and her behaviour. Triggers something in me, and I will not take that crap anymore. She had been perky and happy at the coffee break at work today, and really social. Urban just took his coffee and left. LOL Her mood swings are really draining.

To quote The Beatles: "There will be an answer, let it be"
