I am slowly waking up--- that's good, right? better slowly than not at all. Who would like some :tea: and some pumpkin muffins? All of this talk of THE GREAT PUMPKIN Challenge has made me hungry!
Make sure you check out our HallOween Party too Its is going to be so much fun.

Time for personals:

Phyllis- Oh no- sorry that you didn't get out to the mall and that YMG was a tab underfoot. Its another reason that I claim to be eligible for Sainthood, even though I am not technically Catholic. With MMG disabled- he is home 24/7. On the rare occasions that am actually home alone, I don't know what to do with myself, but it feels like heaven.:D

My Lyme dr is a rheumatoligist. she is putting me on Plaquenil now. Its supposed to help the Rheumatoid factor and should help the inflammation. Lymies can't take steroids (like prednisone) for joint pain b/c it wrecks the immune system even more. Hopefully that will work, have you tried that one for your fibro?

Laurie- hope you were able to get some home stuff and some relax-stuff accomplished yesterday.

Frani- how have you been feeling? Illness all gone?

Oh Clara... don't hold it in, sweetie. let it out! :pound: JK, hon- I don't blame you for being mad. My 2 cents- i think he is trying to make you see the "need" for a 2nd car. What better way then to screw up *your* plans?
But you are 100% right MEN! Bah!

Trudy- yay for no more greys! Why do they have to keep coming back tho??

Nana- I am adoring all of the pics of the kids on your FB page- sooo sweet!! I am glad to hear that they are settling in, kids that age crave stability and probably don't even have the words to express that.
Love cornbread too! Yummy!!

BB- ouch, that foot surgery sounds tough. Gary had some bone growth cut off the top of his foot a few years back and it took a long time for him to recover from that. Feet are especially hard to heal because of gravity, so keep doing what you are doing and enjoy it as best as you can!!

Hi maureen!

Andrea- hugs to you...... I feel bad about complaining about Gary being home all of the time, when yours isn't in the same country, again.
Any news on MIL? Hope she is doing good- sounds like she was inthe best place if anything was going to happen.
Don't beat yourself up about the OT appt!! We all do crap stuff like that- you have no idea how many times I forgot the kids meds schedules- or even just a couple of weeks ago, I was giving Cait the wrong dose of one abx. The fact that you feel bad means that your are a terrific mom- its the ones that don't care that are the sucky ones. You have sooo incredibly much on your plate and to be trying to handle it all on your own... I give you credit for just getting out of bed every day. hugs and enjoy that chocolate!

Clara- you are a good friend! And an awesome mom and wife too. And an even better Soul Sista!!

xoxo to everyone!!

Morning all - it's FRIDAY- all day and then the weekend. I accomplished much but not all of my list- that is okay- I forgot to put lawnmowing on it. Which I did in the sun and that was good, especially with MMG home most of the day. Today after work- grocery shopping and banking- I have been trying not to make extra trips to town. I even have dinner all ready- sloppy joes- so I won't have to think when I get home. Just relax- have my fave easy mellow wine chilling- purple haze from Liberty Vineyards in NY. So guess I better get dressed and get moving!

hey, there. TGIF and no hubby at home underfoot! i'm meeting a friend for coffe later this morning, which will be nice. i rarely get to talk to real live friends in person. there's gorgeous light in this coffee shop, so i'll take some photos of us. the ones from last meet-up were great.

Chris, i wonder whether there's a way of making pumpkin muffins with almond flour! there must be. i can make carrot cake with almond flour. hmmmm. a project for later today? my mom took plaquenil for Lupus. hope it works for you. i can takle cortisone, either. my blood sugar goes through the roof! a really effective drug, but the payback is hideous.

Laurie, is that wine available outside NJ?? PA has this stupid law about mail-order booze. mainly that you can't DO mail-order booze into PA. but HAHAAA!! i found a vinyard in NC that sends me their wine anyway!

Frani. cholesterol level? the answer is one word: LIPITOR. if you can tolerate it, it is the Magic Pill. my cholesterol is 155, and i basically eat the Adkins Diet. good luck with your tests.

OK. off to start the day. Anna has another big release today, and i have to do the announcement as soon as it shows up in the store.

happy day, kiddos.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING!!!

Hope no one minds that I said that sort of loud :director:

Well.....day four of rain:rain:......BUT ALAS..................looks like it is finally clearing out this afternoon......SORRY CHRIS...it's coming your way!!

We wanted to take the kids to the pumpkin patch tomorrow...but I think it may just a tad bit muddy for that...so we will wait another week. I need more photos!! I stopped using the camera for nearly 4 months.....but I am making up for it now....the pumpkin patch is about my favorite place to take photos!!! SO FALLISH and pretty!!! NOT TO MENTION ALL THE GORGEOUS FALL KITS TO USE WITH THEM.

Going to eat lunch with Jesse at school today....it's National School Lunch week.... :) Then we have to go get Jaiden's glasses adjusted...if they can...she just got them yesterday...bless her heart...we found out a couple of weeks ago she needed them...she is EXTREMELY farsighted (she can not see close up)...her perscription is a +7 and +7.5  We have MAJOR eye issues in our family...but this one is a first that I know of (a 3 yo needed that strong of glasses for seeing close). The rest of us are nearsighted.

Gotta run......LOVE TO YOU ALL!!!

Morning all!

Just a quick hello from Nawlins. I'm so glad I did decide to come down here. Dick kept saying ...if you want to stay home, that's fine...the Southwest tickets can be used another time...etc etc. I almost said ok, but I always think - If he weren't around, I'd surely be wishing I had someone to go places with. kwim??

As soon as we got here, we left our bags and got the legs working. Planned to take the St. Charles trolley out to the end of the line to see the houses and check a restaurant. However, about a zillion other tourists had that idea so we switched gears and did a walk around the French Quarter with one stop for a coffee. Tea drinker me likes her coffee hot, strong and sweet. Gotta remember to carry some of my stevia in my purse.

Abou 6pm we finally got that streetcar, and headed out in the twilight to Dante's Kitchen, a recommendation from one of the hotel staff. I could not believe how many restaurants were packed on a Thursday night.

Well, it's another day that we need to keep walking between meals. Sunny warm weather and I have my sunblock. Have a great Friday!

haven't been around much this week. Just too busy with work.

Had a 7AM doctor appointment--can you believe a doctor has appointments that early? The bad thing--he is 60 miles away so I was on the road at the crack of dawn. Getting surgery scheduled for the other foot now. Hope to have it on the 28th.

Leaving here in 1/2 hour to take my mom to see my nephew, who is traveling across country to San Diego. He just got transferred from Maryland to San Diego. Driving two hours to see him and his wife for lunch and a short visit. Then back home just to hop in the car and go to the football game tonight.

I leave on Sunday for Vegas! Going to a seminar there for four days---going to have a little fun in my off time!

Have a great weekend.

Hi everyone. Sorry if I seemed to fall off the face of the earth. We ended up selling our house, living in a campground, looking for a new house and moving in over the summer. We moved into our new home near San Antonio TX just before school started. I have been BUSY unpacking and getting the family settled.
