If I survive today, I am going to be thrilled. Just let me make it long enough to dinner time...

My day yesterday was not so good. There were a few glimmers of maybe a bit of positive movement on my health insurance issues. I called the Marketplace first to see when I might hear about the results from the caseworker. That "good" news was that it could take up to 30 days to be reviewed/decided and nope, there is no way to escalate the escalation. The second call was with a caseworker. I don't think that he knew that I had called over to the Marketplace earlier, but is now trying to get in touch with the State program to see what is happening on their end. He was going to call me back in the afternoon, but well... You know.
On the bright side, he seemed to know what he was talking about more than some of the other people I have dealt with the past week and a half.

In the afternoon, J threw up a couple of times. Just a tiny bit, and had some grass in it. But then has been throwing up a lot more. Her stomach is grumbling and there is now blood in it. I am officially worried. I was concerned in the afternoon, but was taking a wait and see- but seeing blood in it is not a good sign at all. :(
I was supposed to be meeting my BFF for coffee this morning. I haven't seen her in over 2 months. Bu know I have to get the Brick of a Dog to the vet. I know she is going to be really unhappy, she hates the vet. As soon as I post this, I am going to have to get in the shower and give them a call. This afternoon, if the throwing up in under control I have to steam clean these carpets so the blood doesn't stain.

It never ends, does it?
So that is me and my cheery mood. I am such a freaking happy person. /s

Sending all of you love!
xoxo

Morning gals! Pouring rain and I am up super early AGAIN!! I think that is going to be the norm for me for the rest of my life  Oh well I get a lot done when I am awake for so long LOL. I am working on another Calendar page and almost have it done, so hope to post that today. Yesterday's appt at the Dentist went pretty well, I now have a temporary cap on my tooth and in 2 weeks will have my porcelain one put on. I hate the freezing, but it beats the pain of all that drilling with out it. :fear: I am not planning on going anywhere today, it is too miserable of a day to be outside. Perhaps I will try to get back to sleep in a bit.

Chris - Oh dear, another not so great of day for you. Poor J throwing up blood, that does not sound good! The health care issues continue for you and that makes me very sad for you! I hope that your morning gets better and that the fellow you were talking to yesterday calls you back with good news! I hope that J stops :puke: so you will not have to go to the Vet yet again! Sending you lots of positive thoughts and prayers today!

I will try to warm up a bit and then head back to bed. Maybe a nice hot bath will help? I will catch up with everyone later on today.

Morning, gals. Awake again at 3 AM... but managed to fall back asleep until 6 AM. Been waking up at O'dark-thirty since the time change. Grrr... Was putting coffee on when I noticed it was 32 degrees outside! 1st freeze of the year and another cold front coming our way tomorrow. Snow is possible on Monday. Brrrr... not ready for winter to arrive. I pulled out the long-johns for the legs 2 days ago. Been on the cold side for the past several days.

Trudy, I hear you about the long days when you wake up so early!! Glad you are getting some work done. I am trying to get caught up on stuff after being gone part of last week.

Chris, so sorry you are having to jump through hoops with your health care issues. Hope this new fellow can help get it straightened out.

good late morning - I have been busy. First an awesome hour of talking with my sister. She is doing well as are her kids. It is always so fun to catch up. I love our weekly chats. Then got dressed and did errands, paid our quarterly property taxes, got Luther's month flea and tick and heart guard and allergy pills (omgosh $500 but it is for 6 months but still) and then the grocery store. I am making lasagna as it is chilly and will be heavy rains. My mom always said this was such a time consuming hard recipe and hardly ever would make it. In reality it is easy, she just did not like it LOL. And now I am home. Good that Luther is at doggie day care so he can play with the weather so bad.

Chris again this insurance is sad. My girlfriend said she did not think the Republicans would really do any thing with insurance. I looked at her in disbelief as her daughter is a diabetic. Good luck! I hope all goes well at the vet. My vet today asked how Luther was doing. I think it is so nice that she asked.

Trudy that is so weird about the fruit flies. There must be something they like besides fruit. But the cold should do them in. Glad you found some goodies for your grands. Glad the dentist appt. went well. I get the most nervous for the dentist. I have given up worry about sleep. I sleep and awake when it happens. Naps are my best friends. LOL.

Rae glad you are having a bit more self time. I bet Taz is loving the jogs in the morning!

Jean how fun it will be to have clean teeth.

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. Had a post all ready but then the power went out. Just spent the last few hours reading my book and now the power is on again. I'd better get to work.

Chris - hugs. It's been a rough week for you.

Hope everyone is well and I'll come back later.

I love the feeling of cleaned teeth, but did not have a pleasant time yesterday. My usual hygienist was in Vegas (and my usual dentist in Jamaica!) so I got one I'd never seen before. I think she is rough and way too insistent as she was determined I'd get a new scaling procedure then and there. But I said no. She didn't like that. Tough. I would need to gear myself up for that and the need to take better care after as well. It also costs more though she was sure insurance would pay (bet not!) Oh well, I went to the senior center to trade for some new puzzles and last night I made a curry we hadn't had in a while and watched a surprising football game. I have lots of genealogy stuff piling up and have ideas for some scrapping, but first is laundry. :washing: ugh.

Chris, maybe J will be OK, but if not, off to the vet I guess. Sorry. Wish the ins. could get worked out. It is just crazy as is. Hugs to all of you!

Trudy, oh, no, another short sleep isn't good. Some people don't like naps, but maybe you need one. Anyway, I guess it's good that you get lots done.

BrightEyes, another with short sleep! Wishing you a good day and maybe a nap for you too! Yes, the cold is arriving here too, so we'll be shivering for sure.

Nancy, talking to your sister and having lasagna sound good. Not the rain so much. We had more this morning so DH cancelled his bird survey. We were ten inches above average precipitation for the year, but suddenly it's gone to 13 inches above. At least Luther will be a happy, tired doggie.

Rae, know you'll be busy.
