Dang I need this weekend. I know, I know. I barely have had a "week." hahahaha! But I am heading up with kids and dog to PA for my Dad's b-day weekend. We usually go up Thurs-Sunday since the kids are usually off those days for NJ Teacher Convention. But, due to Sandy, Convention was cancelled and kids have school. So we'll go up this afternoon instead.

My dad is going to be 74 tomorrow, it sounded so old when I was a kid-- now 74 sounds pretty young. :becky:
I am also working today, yay!! Two days in a row!

Not much else to say. I got off to a rough patch this morning with a teen DD who hates school, doesn't want to go, and is begging me to stay home.At the same time, her only reason that she will give me is that she "hates people." I know there is more to it than that-- just will take me a bit of time to tease it out of her.

So here's to Fridays and coffee!! And to the O!!!

Ooooh Laurie- you day off sounds fine! Did you get to play with your new toys at all?

Eva- ugh, that really stinks! I am sure that your dad will understand, but that isn't the point. I don't even have a card for my dad yet. I made him rice pudding (again) but he loves it and my mom doesn't make it so at least I know he enjoys it.

Phyllis- Were you able to find/get in touch with meg? If you can't, let me know and I will hook you up

Terry-- what did I miss about court appearance? Hope all went well.

Sally-- Hawaii!! POh how nice!!!!!!!!! Sounds like everything in your life is falling into place!!! And if it is not, you always have a knack of making it happy any way!

Trudy- can I come to your house? Soup and lasagna. I promise to not interrupt you!

Kayleigh- my godson loves those books! Last year for Christmas, my kids and I took turns reading "Twas the Night before Christmas" and it was so neat!! This year, he'll really recognize our voices too. How is Addie feeling today> Hope all of you got a good night's sleep and no one else gets sick.

Jen and Heather- Keep all that snow away from me!!!!! LOL
Hope you both are safe and snuggly and warm!!

Gotta run, warm the car up and off to the bus stop we go....

Morning O Fam!!!! It is Friday- so excited- now that my hours are shorter on Friday, I can do errands then instead of making an extra trip on Thursday = less gas used. I have my list all made- important stop- verizon- my tablet stopped working- it is charged, starts up, then shuts itself off. I hope it gets fixed before my next long car ride. Oh and yesterday got an offer in the mail for dinner and dance up by the lake in December- and we signed up for it- we haven't been out dancing in ages. Looking forward to it! Later my O peeps- oh and Chris -only got them unpacked, digi scrapped instead and enjoyed the sunlight streaming through my windows- no windows in my work area and the only way to see outside are the entrance doors- which are on the other side of the department from my treatment area. so I <3 sunshine and windows- yesterday I saw blue jays and cardinals picking the berries off my trees!

Chris, i didn't get in touch with Meg. i'm off to the doctor this morning, so no need to bother anyone about it. thanks for mentioning her to me. i didn't expect to get in to the doctor so soon. i just called them yesterday! hopefully all this involves is a sonogram and good news. i have the feeling that The Hose Down The Throat (and the other end) is in the future, too. damn and blast. :mmph:

This made me smile because the first time I had one down the throat, I understood why people do drugs as the drug in the IV hit before I fell asleep and I could have cared less what they were doing. The second time I got both and felt perky enough to request the do the top first!! Okay off to work- hope it made you chuckle.

Morning ladies... a chilly morning here this morning brrrr!! Heat pump and fireplace are both going to warm it up in here. I've got my coffee and my warm bulky sweater on. Life is good!! Work today then off for the weekend. I am liking my new hours although they are full days, at least there is only three of them a week. They have me working a lot over in the kiosk in the lumber yard now, but its toasty warm and I get to sit more than stand and can keep myself very busy if I want to be, doing lots of paper work and ordering. Other days are in the store, where I work mostly in the back office and relief on the cash register for breaks and such.

Chris - Have a wonderful weekend with your Dad!! Happy Birthday to him!! Funny my father also loved rice pudding, but my Mom not so much LOL! Sure hope that your DD spills the beans about her hatred of school! Hopefully she is not being bullied or anything like that!! I'm sure you will get it out of her!

Phylis - Good luck at the Dr.!! Hopefully nothing gets shoved down either end of you LOL. Hubby had that done recently for his hiatus hernia and he hardly remembers a thing about it LOL.

Laurie - Glad you got to enjoy some of the sunshine yesterday! Your upcoming dinner and dance date sounds fun! Keeping my fingers crossed for you that your tablet can be fixed without it costing too much!! I would have loved to see the cardinals at your tree, we don't have those birds here, but can you believe that we have hummingbirds that stay here all winter long?? So now I keep my feeder out over the winter months too, I hear them everyday in a bush that is right beside the driveway, they chatter away whenever I am outside, bossy little things!!

LindaS - I have so much catching up to do in the gallery, I have not been a very good cheeryO, so busy trying to get my calendars done, and it has made me very absent in the gallery. Hope to correct that soon!

Well off to get breakfast for MG and myself, its nice that we both go to work at the same time, but I always get up earlier so I can be here first thing in the morning and get my "O" fix and hang with my Besties ! Have a great day everyone TGIF!! :wave:

What a morning! My electricity keeps going off! Seems like every few minutes. Can't get much done with it cutting in and out. So, I decided to finish two LO's that are due on Tuesday for a CT I'm on. Mark that off the list.

Hubby and I are heading out of town after work. Going to see one of our son's--his wife and little granddaughter. We'll get in late tonight and see them tomorrow.

While I'm in the city--I need to shop for "court clothes and shoes." I won't have another opportunity to shop before the trial so I need to find something. Have I told you I hate shopping!! I'll probably need a stiff drink by the time I finish.

If I get finished early---which I am banking on----then we are heading to a football game with our son and his family. Dinner out tomorrow night.

Looking forward to relaxing--after the shopping.

Phyllis-I had my gall bladder out several years ago. I hope your doctor can find out what is causing your issues.

EVening everyone!!! Fridays are usually my busy days with the kids and house, and today was just as crazy to say the least! I made it through the bulk of the day and I get to play/work tonight, so I'm excited about that!!! ♥

Hope everyone stays warm and snuggles with their loved ones this weekend!! We have a soccer game tomorrow in 72degree weather...it's going to be fantastic!! And then we are going to a surprise bday party later. In the middle I'll be cleaning my house because we are having the fam over Sunday after church for my Quentin's 15th birthday!! WHAT???? 15???? I'm too young...just sayin'...
