Woo hoo! Friday is here! And with it iDSD 2015 is here!
I will have to be quick thins morning, I have to get the kids up and out of bed in 10 mins. Neither of them will be happy but what can you do?
I have good news to share for both kids this morning.
Caitlyn's school didn't have a bomb thread yesterday.:clap2:
Oh. Wait.
She didn't have school. hahaha!!!!
The best news was from Scott. He met with his counselor about classes for next semester and declaring a Major. He was thinking about just going with Humanities, b/c all of the classes he has taken so far would fit into it. But after talking with her, he decided to go with a Psychology Major. It will mean a few extra classes, but all ones that he will enjoy, and several with a teacher he really respects. He actually came home excited.
We have told him to take his time figuring out what he wants to do, that it is better to take longer, but to really enjoy and absorb the information. He figures it will take him close to 3 years to get his Associates Degree rather than 2. But if he graduates with better knowledge and sense of self- that is a payoff for the rest of his life. I was pretty darn proud of him that he took our advice to heat.
He also got his grade from a major Philosophy test. The teacher says that he doesn't give A's unless it is truly exceptional. One kid got a 94, and Scott got an 87! The next batch of scores were in the 70's. He was really proud of himself, as he should be. Philosophy isn't an easy course and he works hard.
Off to the kids' LLMD today. I am bummed that his regular nurse/office mgr won't be there. She is off today since her kids don't have school either. I adore her and she is so much like me that we always have a good time.
My mom wants to talk about Christmas lists today too. :hurt:
Not ready!!!!!
Off to wakes the grumblings beasts.
Have a wonderful day and enjoy the sales!!!!
