Between the sales and the Do You Like Us on Facebook? freebie-- we should all be set for scrapping for a long, long time.
I wish I wasn't working today so i could shop and scrap, scrap and shop LOL
OTOH, if I wasn't working, I wouldn't have a cent to my name, leaving me with nothing to shop with....

Did I tell you ladies that the woman I cleaned for a couple of times picked me oup on a regular basis? And... she gave my name to a friend and I am goign to set something up with her? Wheeee!!
My other big project is that i have to think ahead for Faery-Wings Apothecary and if I am going to do any shows this Christmas season or not. I know I will have orders for gift baskets but some shows would be nice too.

I also forgot to thank all of you for you "itching advice." I found some aloe shower gel (from sandals resort) and used that all up, it was so nice. But now its empty and I think that means I need to go back to Jamaica to get more, eh? Unfortunately the only thing that really seems to works is benadryl and that just knocks me out. It is slowly (very slowly!) getting better...so hopefully soon it will be all gone.

I had better post this and get moving. Yesterday with the dleayed opening, the buses came early and we missed it. So I had to drive the kids all down to the Middle school and High school. There are 3 schools (those 2, plus an elem school) all next to each other and one road in and one road out.Nightmare! I don't want to have to do that again today-- especially since I am babysitting before I even head off to work.

hi, there. the Facebook freebie is amazing! i may not be buying anything for ISDS. i feel like i'm getting overloaded. though i DID just buy some Maya paper that looks interesting.

Chris, good for you on the job! you are just amazing. just reading about all the things you do makes me need a nap!

today, probably a visit to Sam's club to get a giant bag of peanuts for hubby. when we were on vacation (in peanut country) last summer, he found and bought a 10 POUND bag of peanuts in the shell and had a ball. my husband is a man with very few requirements. he just motors through life not needing or wanting much of anything. so when i see that he actually LIKES something, i try to get it for him. so, to Sam's i go.

wow. it's WINDY out! wonder what THAT means, besides all my joints are going to hurt all day.... transition wreaks havoc with my bones. whatever. onward! and i guess all the leaves i blew into the back of my property yesterday are going to be blowing right back to where they were.:hurt:

TGIF to all of you!! Off to work and then home to check out all the goodies on sale for IDSD. I really should have made a wish list too!! Its payday so Hooray I have some cash to go crazy with!! Does anyone know if we are having a scrap and chat challenge at all ?? I haven't had time to go through the forum for the IDSD. Guess I should do that today also.

Chris - I am so happy for you that you were picked up by your friend for a permanent job and her referring you to someone else....WOW!! See the Universe is looking after you my friend!! Keep thinking those positive thoughts and positive things will attract to you!! (I know I'm kinda corny!!) LOL.

Laurie - Hope your workday goes by quickly, so you can get all those kits you want!!

Phylis - I feel like I have way too many scrapbooking kits too, but really can we have too many?? I have to find a better way to organize, because I really don't know what I have anymore and when I go to look for a certain thing, It takes me forever to find it. That's funny that your guy loves peanuts so much, my hubby is not high maintenance either, so when they love something it is nice to make sure they have plenty of it!! Aren't we lucky to have such great guys!!

Hi all... I really slept in late today - almost til 8am! The dinner last night was really good. Despite saying there was plenty of pork, I know how some of these men eat so fast they would have gone back for 2nds in a heartbeat (especially the one who is a cardiologist - I think he just inhales it!) so I broke down and shared the MD crab soup I made.

I SERVED them that, and said there weren't 2nds, but sure enough the Dr. came over where I was putting out the rest of the food and asked if there were 2nds! No. You have to go back and sit down and I'll call you when it's out. The rest of that soup was 2 lunches for my husband! (Does this sound like I'm dealing with 3rd graders?????)

I had a few learning experiences with the filo for the baklava but that 9x13 dish was almost totally finished too. Dick said it was better than the Greek Fesitval. WOOHOO1

Today, lunch with a former senate staffer. We worked for different senators but together for almost 10 years. He had a different job after I retired but has now been unemployed for 7 months. That's hard. I can only imagine how discouraged he gets.

Tonight? "Hanna" via Redbox. Hope it's worth the $1! ound:

popping in late tonight...it's 10pm here and I have an entire rabbit costume to cut out and sew tonight. I've been a bad girl playing today!! lots!! But now it's time for work!!

I can't wait to see what everyone does with all of their goodies from DSD!! I've got a couple (of hundred) kits I want and may have to scam tomorrow!! soooooo fun!!!
