Why do I feel exhausted yet totally amped up at the same time? :noidea:
Cait is the same way, she barely slept last night but feels wide awake. I wonder if anyone else is feeling that way. Gary has to go for fasting bloodwork so it will be interesting to see how he is doing without coffee.

I am shocked that it is the last day of November. Not really shocked since it has felt more like the Christmas season since it snowed a couple of weeks ago. I still have a few small piles of snow left on my lawn where the sun doesn't reach this time of year. It is scarier to me that there is only 1 month left in 2018. That is bananas.
When I was talking to Gary yesterday, I was saying how this year has been really difficult for the 4 of us. Health-wise, it has been the best one for me in a long time. ( I guess that is *really* good since I still do not have health insurance :gaah:) But the stress has been horrible. And with the washing machine breaking again yesterday, the hits keep on coming. Gary thinks it is the drain pump motor that needs to be replaced and can do that himself, but that is just one more thing thrown on to the credit card. :(

And the news-- I was out of the house for 1 1/2 hours yesterday and man, all of the s*** hitting the fan just in that time! Please let this mean that this corrupt administration will get taken down soon.

I finished another LO for the album and am almost finished with another, so 17 down, 3 to go? I think that is correct.

Today the kids are at school all day so my plan -may all the gods be willing!- is to make that lotion recipe, the one I never made before so it makes me a bit nervous. It could be great or my math and ingredient combination might be a disaster.
*fingers crossed for good results*

But the other fab news-- take a look at my avi- the 12 Days of Christmas party is ready to go!! Avatar Challenge is up (thanks Trudy!!) and the festivities are on!

xoxo!!!

Sorry that the personals will be short today-

Kay- so sorry to hear of another designer passing. It has been a sad year for that :( I am really happy that you are feeling better. I miss the sun along with the heat. My light therapy lamp is very helpful but it isn't enough. I also need the dirt and nature.

Trudy- you avi is gorgeous and so are you! Is the Dr concerned about your symptoms? I hate that our bodies will not cooperate with us as we get older. Good vibes coming your way~~~
We only went to the Dollar Store-- I couldn't handle Walmart so I am going to order the window plastic from Amazon. Easier and way less annoying. Hope your weather warms back up soon!

Rae- I didn't realize that B is immune compromised on top of everything else she is dealing with. I can only imagine how bummed you will be, is there a day during the week you can go even though the ride is a lot longer?
Get better soon!!

Nancy- Ugh that you are going through the same thing with Medicare issues. The panicky feeling of "what happens if the bill doesn't get paid on time/go through correctly" is no fun.
I hope that the aqua therapy helps but I always feel like the insurance companies will drag things out forever so they don't have to pay. Good luck with it!
Thanks for and rhymes on FB liking my things-- I need to get the third day photo posted soon too.
(WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF EVERY YEAR?????)
:D

love and hugs and joy to all!

Woke up way to early again... 5:30AM! But, then again, I had gone to sleep at 9PM so guess 8 1/2 hours of sleep was enough and my body/mind woke up. LOL I am trying to get caught up on things since I was basically out of it for the past week. Got the sheet washed and changed on my bed. Need to do the ones from the guest room plus the towels, etc. Yes, I even got my errands ran yesterday but was running on fumes by the time I got back home. Finally picked up my mail from this week [we have bank of mailboxes near the entrance to our housing subdivision]. So now I have mail that must be taken care of today. Hate when I am behind on doing that. I picked up some books from the library but have already started re-reading a series by Karen Robarts - 'The Last Victim', 'The Last Goodbye', 'Her Last Whisper' and 'The Last Time I Saw Her'. I added the last book to my collection recently so want to read straight through the series. Then I will start reading the library books. I usually read 8-10 books a week as I don't watch much TV.

I know how you feel, Chris. Wow... December has come too quickly. Seems like it was just Nov 1st. Lots of LOs to get ready still. :target: So sorry about all the things breaking down... not what anyone wants to have happen around the holidays. Hope things will settle down for your family.

Off to get dressed and try to get caught up on a few things. Have a good day, everyone.

good morning - today Luther is at doggie daycare and boy does he need it. We play but while he gets his walk it is not enough. So today I really am all alone. My Devils play the Capitals tonight in DC and then tomorrow they play the Jets at home. It has been a while since they have been home. This is the one year anniversary of the Devils trading my favorite player, Adam Henrique. I still miss him. Then found out one of my players broke his ankle sliding into the net. He played on it for 50 sec before he realized something was really wrong. Then the Devils put a player on waivers so he could play in the AHL and he was reclaimed by Pittsburgh the same team we got him from so bye bye JS Dea. But we did call up one of our own AHL players Mikey McLeod who really needs to be given a chance to try and make it in the NHL. Did watch a lot of hockey last night and my AZ Coyotes defeated the Predators so that was awesome as the Coyotes goalie is a rookie this was his first start actually and he had a shut out. Today is just relax.

Chris hope the day goes well with the kids gone and you can get a lot accomplished. I find it hard to believe this is the last day of Nov. as having so many days between Thanksgiving and the end of the month really goofed me up. Cant believe all the stuff happening in our country. I keep thinking it can only get better!

Trudy looking forward to the Christmas happenings. Like the new avi of you and Chris. That is interesting about the possibility of kidney stones. But I would think that you would know the pain is intense as I have had them. And the pain is in the back way more than a UTI would be. And yes it sucks that we are breaking down as we age. I asked my knee doctor and he said to think of my parents and what activities did they do as adults and then in their 60s were they doing a lot. And no they were not so he said it should not be surprised that we are noticing this more.

Rae so sorry you cant make it up to B with her being compromised. I know she will miss you. Feel better soon.

Kay just saw that that designer passed from Cancer - what a shame. Glad you are feeling so much better. Enjoy the sun!

Have a great day all!

Kay we crossed posted and wow I love to read but I find if I read that much I would never get anything done. I am terrible when I find that one book that I love I will just read it to the neglect of all else. I will have to look into that series of books.

Since I don't watch TV, I can get a lot of reading done in the evenings. I have always been a fast reader so usually can read a book in a few hours. Now that hubby isn't here, I read when I eat meals, too. I do know what you mean when you find a great book that is so hard to put down. I have been know to read into the wee hours of the morning when I am involved with a great one!

Morning ladies... It is the most fun time of the year here at the "O" I hope that you all will have a good time with the celebrations! It is foggy, foggy, foggy here again this morning, but hopefully the sun will make an appearance and burn off all the fog! Yesterday was hmmmm how shall I say? Very weird!! I had a really good sleep, but DH woke me up to tell me that the dishwasher wasn't turning on. (he usually starts it just as he leaves for work) I tried to get it to turn on too, but nothing!! It was filled to the brim with dirty dishes and I really did not want to hand wash them all. Then I got a notice that one of my parcels I ordered from Amazon arrived yesterday???? No parcel for me!! So I checked the tracking and it said that it will arrive today??? Strange! Then I got an email from the dentist to confirm my appointment for today (I get my permanent crown put on today) I tried to reply to confirm, but nope it would not work. I have done this several times and it always works :gaah: WTH is going on??? I left the dishwasher for a few hours and then decided to try it again and Voila it worked :loco: thankful that I did not have to hand wash all the dishes but sheesh!! Tried the confirmation again later and it worked. There are some strange things going on in my house LOL. Had a talk with Heather and Hunter yesterday and poor little Hunter decided it would be fun to put his hand under the beater bar of the vacuum while his Mommy was vacuuming the rug. OUCH!!! Lots of blood and Hunter's Daddy had to come home from work to take him to the Doctor. He had cut his thumb pretty good, but no stitches thankfully! Have you ever tried to keep a huge bandaid on an 18 month old??? Poor Hunter was a very sad little boy! It broke my heart to see him like that! Waiting to hear how things are today, hopefully he is better today!

Chris - Love the new AVI!! It is fun to get all dressed up for the Christmas Season! Isn't it crazy that it is the end of November already!! I am starting to stress about everyone getting their gifts on time!! I can't mail out the gifts for DS and family until I get this last thing from Amazon, sure hope it arrives today!! Hope your Gary is not too grumpy without his coffee this morning! It has been a very trying year for your entire family, glad that you have felt better, but still so much other crap happening and now your washing machine?? Oy Vey!!! Will it ever end?? Good luck with your new lotion recipe! I bet it turns out amazing!! WTG on almost having your In-Law's project completed! With the kids gone for the day you should be able to get it all done! You can do it I know you can!!

Kay - Wow you really do love to read don't you!! I don't think I could ever accomplish reading that many books in a week! I have a hard time just finding one that peaks my interest. I got ruined by reading all of Diana Gabaldon's books and now have a hard time getting into anything else LOL. Sounds like you got a lot accomplished yesterday, no wonder you were pooped out at the end of the day! Hope you have fun with the upcoming 12 days and get lots of time for scrapping!

Nancy - That is crazy that your Devil's player did not realize he had a broken ankle!! OUCH!! Enjoy your nice quiet day alone, yes I suppose poor Luther is not getting the exercise he needs with your knees being so sore! I am not sure what is going on with me, just getting old I guess, the dr. just wants to be sure that nothing else is happening with me and just checking to see if perhaps I might be getting kidney stones, better to be safe than sorry I guess?? :noidea: I won't be able to get the ultra sound for quite some time as it is not an emergency and the wait times here in B.C. are horrendous!!
We were happy that our Bruins won in OT, but my goodness they looked bad last night, more like they were trying out for figure skating instead of playing hockey!! Just shoot the puck already, forget about all your fancy moves LOL.

Rae - So sad that you will not be able to see B this weekend, but ya you don't need to spread any germs there! Hope you get to see her soon so you can make those cards together!

Ok just talked to Heather and Hunter, that is why I am so late getting here, he is better today, but still a bit clingy to Mommy and a bit cranky at times. They are having a terrible time keeping a bandaid on his poor thumb. I will get going now and get the bed made etc. Hope to spend most of the day here at the O and then off to the dentist this afternoon :mmph: Have a wonderful last day of November ladies!!

Went to bed at 9 last night and although I woke up numerous times, I only had one bad coughing fit and was able to go back to sleep fairly quickly each time. So I feel a bit better this morning. Still not sure if I'll be well enough to see B this wkend but possibly on Sunday. Have to wait and see. Made spanish rice in the instant pot last night for D. He loved it and it was so easy to make, it took 4 minutes (plus 10 minutes of cool down pressure release time). Put it on before walking Taz and when we got back it was ready to serve. I'll be cooking a few variations of rice and freezing them in single servings for D.

Today is lots of desk work, walking Taz and will make sloppy joes for dinner as its fast and easy to reheat for D b/c he's on call this wkend and will be in and out. I'll make up a big batch of egg salad with bacon so he can grab some quick sandwiches here and there and I can eat it over salad greens and veggies. I'll make up a batch of homemade mayo this afternoon to use for it.

Chris - poor G with no coffee...I hate when I have to fast. I know, the last day of Nov...seems weird, doesn't it? Xmas always comes too soon, the months of Nov and Dec fly by. Hope G can get the washing machine fixed. Hope the lotion recipe works out. You're a whiz at that stuff, I bet it'll be amazing. BTW, love the new avi's for you and Trudy!

Kay - I've read most if not all of Karen Robarts books. Wow, you read a lot. I usually get thru 1-2 a week if I'm lucky. I don't read in the evening tho, as you do. I generally browse on my ipad and watch tv at night.

Nancy - enjoy your quiet day with Luther at daycare. I know what you mean about not being able to put a book down when you find a good. Some mornings I just can't put it down, especially if its a good one and I'm getting close to the end, I try to put off starting work as long as I possibly can to try to finish it.

I'd better grab another coffee and get to work. Have a great day, everyone.

Trudy - see we cross-posted this morning. Poor little Hunter, glad it didn't require stitches. As for the weirdness...its here too. I turned on my work computer and it wouldn't come on, it was frozen in mid boot-up. Ugh. Broken computer is a nightmare for my job b/c it means a few days of work piling up and then I'm swamped trying to catch up once I get it back. Luckily tho I turned it off, left it alone for 5 min and then tried again. It came on this time...whew.

Love the new Avi!

Ok, gotta get out of here. Bye.

:sing: ''Running the circles through, right back to you, finding at the finish line nothing new.'' :music:

:giddaySinging and with a dancing step, I'll be back to hOme for the Holidays fun.
If kind of sad that I'm becoming one of these people which come at O only for events, but It is what it is.
However I'm happy to be back at O and tomorrow will come with long post and all personals.

Kiss you and hope you are in holiday mood!:choclove

Quick edit with my personal notes! Good morning! Oh, how much I missed that! :cof3:

Jean , why not get pics of this garden center?! I love to see places like this! When I saw 'pet store' I decided you're got new pet, some dog to make you company at the bird surveys, because November is adopt a senior pet mont. Is that cat my naughty friend from Tulsa or I'm mistaken the brothers?!

Rae, I hope you're feels better! Drink more teas!
Hope the doctors at UBC get some rational decision about B! If is necessary press them a little! You shouldn't stay silent just to be kind!
Did you cleaned these old magazines?! This is good idea, I have bunch of knitting magazines and don't know why keep it, when now all is available online. I'm not sure did I understand right. Do you transform your basement at room for the girls, when B come to live with you?!

Trudy, oh dear little Hunter, such a dangerous adventure for the little hero, good that no need stitches! The child curiosity is adorable, but yes dangerous too. Hope the problems with your helt aren't serious! I'm wondering why UTI to be related to age instead of the fact that you use public swimming pool?

Nancy, watch a lot of hockey sounds like a dreamed day. Also sorry to hear that your knees need surgery, the recovering process wouldn't be fun, but it's better than the whole pain if not do it.

Kay, nice to meet you and I'd like to get to know you better !
:jaw: 8-10 books a week WOW, I'm really impressed I read this for a year. But yes I watch TV a lot, guilty. I mean I love to use my imagination, but when you read so much , how you can so fast to think about the text meaning according to your life, all the hidden messages, and to analyse them, or to start to living with the characters?! I can hide that I'm a little bit jealous about this ability. Any tips you what to shared will be highly appreciated! I really love the literature too, but unfortunately I'm a very slow reader!
Hope you're feel better now and your flu is gone already!

Chris, I don't want to start this month with sadness and sorrow, so Í wouldn't comment it, I hope you're knew what I would told you if I was saw it on time. I really want this crappy year to finish, so to can we all start on clear. Actually it's maybe even better that Cait have to wait a while for rats adoption, then they will come whit the luck of the next year!

Can it really be time for the December party at the O? Amazing. Got a little feel for the season yesterday as we were in an area with a store that isn't near us so we stopped to get DH new boot socks (which he wears for his bird surveys) and in the store I found (it nearly jumped out at me) a lovely women's flannel shirt that actually fit. Then to the pet store for a "gift" for BIL's cat and last a stop at a garden center that transforms at Christmas into a fairyland of artificial and natural decor. Didn't buy anything but it was nice and they play background holiday music too. It is warming a little so the snow is slowly melting but rain was predicted for the morning so DH cancelled today's survey.

Chris, hope you got the lotion made as I'm sure it'll be super. Did you ever get the hi-res photos from MIL? Good wishes for fixing the washing machine. They know when you need them most, don't they.

Kay, you do read a lot, but I too prefer it to most TV. Glad you are feeling better and keeping busy.

Nancy, strange things going on in your hockey world. I know of at least one baseball player who played on an injured ankle, but it wasn't broken, I don't think it was anyway. Good luck against the Caps - I see the Jackets just took the division lead. Wish you knees were feeling better, but wish that about mine too.

Trudy, what strange things in your house today! But at least they worked later. Poor little Hunter and having to keep the band-aid on as well. The party here has already begun with the avatars and you look beautiful and Chris' and Kay's are great too.

Rae, it would be great if you were better by Sunday in any event, but I'm sure it will mean a lot to B to have you visit and make cards.

Felis, I was hoping you'd be back for the party!!! Glad you will be.
