It looks like "head in the sand" approach to the holidays has less then 24 hours to be effective. *insert ostrich smilie*
Last day of November! ahhhh!!! Scaryscaryscary!!!

I have been slowly trying to get stuff together to get ready for the big decorating and baking weekend. All I have truly succeeded in doing is making my house have crap in every corner. Hopefully by Sunday, things will be in better shape. Hopefully...... ;)

Not much else going on here in the Faery House. we are all just tired, and cold and happy that it is Friday!

Finish It Friday:
I want to finish up all lf the Monthly Challenges here, plus leave some love on all of your pages too!

PS: Also planning on finishing at least one pot of coffee! :tea:

Morning O fam - getting ready to work out before work- hopefully the last friday without paperwork time built in- eek! But other than that a marvelous day indeed- it is supposed to be in the 50's today- that is wonderful. I think my husband may decorate the house while I am at work- I wonder how many thousands of lights I will see as I drive up? I plan to make my cards this weekend for the snail mail list and mail them on monday- that should help my holiday spirit for sure. I am trying to stop myself from buying a silhouette cameo on sale- so much creative goodness I could make and use up my paper stash, make vinyl things for my walls. I have rebates from mammograms that I have not submitted yet that would cover the cost- so that makes it "free". Guess I will mull it over on my drives too and from work today.

Good morning Chris! I am sitting here amazed that it is already Friday again. I am starting to feel like I live in Groundhog Day!

So much to get done this weekend. Need to go watch one of my niece's play basketball tonight...she is a senior in high school so that's almost over. Then Sydney has soccer at 8 in the morning and Shaun has basketball at 10:30. Sunday afternoon Sydney has two basketball games.

Between games, I need to get cookies baked for the homeless shelter on Monday, shop for gifts for a family that we adopted for Christmas at work, shop for gifts that Syd's class adopted, pick up our Christmas tree and get it decorated, shop for gifts for my family (immediate and extended), get my office cleaned up so that my brother can paint it next week...and now I am completely exhausted. Need to get my first cup of coffee in me!

Oh, and guess what? I am 3 for 3 in good dinners. I made a new recipe last night that went over very well. Linguine and Swiss cheese tart. Looks like if I cook pasta and cheese in some form, I am good to go. So much for the healthy diet......

Eva-- haha! I had a feeling you'd agree with me on my crazy-ness. (Takes one to know onw :pound:)

What My Kids Eat: Bread, pasta, cheese. One will eat ground beef tacos, the other will not. Pulled pork, very occasionally as long as there is no bone. Scott will eat turkey/roast chicken if it is in front of him, Cait will not. Both eat Chicken nuggets. Cait likes soups, Scott does not. No pork chops for either. Bacon, on occasion. Cait's needs to be thisclosetocharcoal. Scott eats white potatoes, cait eats sweet potatoes.
Thank goodness that they eat Ramen and PB&J b/c that is what they make for themselves if they don't like what I cooked.

Is Dad coming home today? I hope so. He strikes me as a person who is much happier in his own home. And John? Hanging in OK? I feel your pain on the swings between good days and bad days with the kids. Its so hard. It almost makes me wish that my own kids could settle into a happy medium for good.
Happy Wedding to Dr Quinn

Laurie- Its so funny, how I thought my mom was crazy when I went away to college and didn't want to come home often. Now I totally get it. I can't imagine not having them with us all when they get older. Right now, they are good for holidays to be mainly the 4 of us, plus the g-parents. Both kids nixed the ideas of their boyfriend/girlfriend being here for either decorating/movie night with my brother/Christmas Eve and Day. Those are the "biggies' this month for us. It will be hard when that changes.

But good for you to make your own plans and make new traditions. :)

Phyllis- Oh I remember that from last year! The BAD Christmas. I hope that this one is better than that. I have learned to not say "It can't get worse" but chances are it has to be better eh??

Thanks to all of you for understanding my Christmas ramble!

Gotta run- back back laterz.................

Good morning - Getting my yearly calendar mostly done. Just waiting on some new birthdays with the addition of my son's wife and my girlfriend's daughter's husband. Fun to see the changes even though I know that means I am getting older LOL. Will also be getting my Christmas cards printed.

On a happy note my girlfriend saw the pages I did for my son's wedding and asked me to do some for her for her daughter's wedding and while I cant post until the presents are given she is thrilled. She saw them on the computer and thought they were wonderful but I printed two for her so she could really see what a 12x12 page looked like. She was more than happy - that so made my day!

Have a great Friday!

so glad it is Friday! Thinking of taking most of the day off!

I'm planning on golfing this afternoon with one of my docs. Scrapping a little bit or maybe putting up one of my Christmas trees.

Other than that---no big plans.

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday.

hiya. i feel like it should be about 6 p.m., even though i've only been up since 5. i've done a ton of stuff already. so why does my house still look like abomb hit it! ha! probably because i've been at the computer and my craft table all morning. i think i'm going to order a pizza for lunch and stay in my pjs fopr a few more hours. (i use the word "pizza" losely. i only can eat the toppings. but it does give one the "pizza experience!")

Chris, will your kids eat pizza? lots of variations available with that.

Terry, i love the sound of your day's schedule!

Donna! hey, there!

Laurie, i did all the decorating i'm going to do yesterday. that involved the "emptying the closet to get at the decos thing," and walking up and down the stairs about 50 times. ho ho ....ho.

Trudy, do you guys get significant snow? i'd take rain any day over snow.

Nancy, i wish i could get it together even ONCE to made a calendar of some sort. i just never get around to it!

Merry Friday! tomorrow's December! :eek2: :faint:
