I am thankful for-- Thanksgiving to be over and that I can possibly stay in my pjs all day.:hail:

It was such a nice gathering yesterday and I was having a really nice time until halfway through dinner when I crashed. And boy, do I crash hard. :(
I am so tired of it, feeling so horrible that I can barely stand. And when people say Oh just sit down for a bit and you will feel better, it only makes me feel guilty because I know it won't.
But it is what it is and my kids had me laughing a bit on the way home. Scott drove, thank goodness. We saw Christmas lights and that was nice too.

Did all of you have a nice holiday, if you celebrated? I hope the day was filled with joy and peace no matter what you were doing.

Like I said, I am going to keep it as low key here as I can. There are a few things that I need to do, but mostly computer related.

Blessings and love to all!

Trudy- I am sure that Mason is going to be a fantastic big brother!

nancy- that shopping trip must have been a nightmare, sorry that you had to go through that.

Good luck with your shopping trip, Rae!

jean- she sounds like a wonderful role model whether or not you knew her personally. Hugs to you and know that I am thankful for you too

nancyP broc casserole and deviled eggs sound delish! Hope that you enjoyed your day!

Little silly note: My SIL's family has a tradition of writing what you are thankful for in a basket and everyone has to guess who wrote it. Cait and I both wrote the exact same thing "family, friends and pets" go figure. Scott wrote "Heating, indoor plumbing, and mostly mashed potatoes." The oddest part was when someone wrote "family, friends, and my health" -- my mom, of all people, thought that *I* wrote that! :pound: Where has she been these last 10+ years hahahah!!!!!!!

Morning O-zies!! Well Black Friday has arrived and for once I don't have to scour the internet looking for Christmas presents!! Hooray! Today I am off to do some grocery shopping and get the house ready for the birthday boy and his family. They should arrive shortly before supper time tonight, so I have to also think of what the heck to feed everyone when they get here. Tomorrow's dinner is planned so that is not a problem, but they decided to come early and get the kids right after school and head straight here. I think that Jason and Jackie are very tired, they are both so busy with their jobs and all the kids activities that they are looking forward to having a bit of break and letting the grandparents deal with the kids for a weekend. LOL I remember those days, but didn't have grandparents close to us to take a break with.

Chris - I am glad that you had a nice time with your family yesterday, but it is too bad that you crashed the way that you did! Thank goodness Scott drove home and you did not have to deal with the traffic etc. Too funny that your Mom would think you wrote that you were thankful for your Health?? Hoping that you get to spend the rest of the day in your PJ's!! Try to get some rest today!

Nancy - I sure do hope that the traffic was not bad for the trip that you had to make for Thanksgiving! I saw a video of LA and everyone trying to make their way to their destinations for Thanksgiving and it was insane the amount of traffic that was on the highway!! I am sorry but there is no way that I would even think about going anywhere with that on the roads!! Yes your shopping trip was really a fiasco!! I would have been so upset for forgetting my wallet :mmph: but at least your got your Diet Dr. Pepper!! :becky:

Rae - I hope you are able to get your shopping done in record time so you can just enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Jean - We are all Thankful for you also!

NancyP - All of that food sounds heavenly!! :hungry: I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

I will be getting a Skype call soon from DD and Mason, looking forward to hearing how his day at play school went this week. Sometimes he has such fun, other days he hardly talks to anyone. Then he talks non-stop when he gets home. Such a character ! Have a wonderful Friday everyone! Enjoy the shopping today!

Just now I'm taking a break while volunteering at the historical society. Used to be much busier day after Thanksgiving in older times. Very gray day, but that's OK since I'm spending it indoors. Don't tell (OK?) but yesterday I ordered two books from Shutterfly. One is my 2013 book and the other I did for my DH as a Christmas present. I liked having three discounts to use. Sure hope the gift one will be as welcome as I hope.

Chris, rolling eyes over your Mom's idea on the Thanks. DH and I started our lists with being alive, my next was that both siblings of each of us are too. Health is another story entirely for most of us. Hope today really turned out to be quiet in pjs.

Trudy, you'll be so busy this weekend, but I know it's all worth it. Hope the birthday bash is just super!

Hope everyone is having a safe day if out shopping! ;)

Good morning ladies. I got a good chunk of shopping done last night and got back around 2 am and into bed around 3:30. I slept til 10 and then spent the morning showing Darrell what I got. It feels funny not to have my laptop with me but I left it at home. I only have my iPad with me which is fine for going online but there'll be no scrapping for me today. We had a bit of a scare last nIght. We turned the water on outside and came into the trailer to hear this loud rumble noise. Turns out that critters chewed through two water lines and water was gushing into the crawl space storage area. Luckily Darrell had the supplies to clamp and fix it so now we just have to let it dry out and the water didn't get inside the trailer and should dry out ok. Whew. With trailers you never know what can go wrong and it's usually pricey. Got to cut this short as hubs now wants to drive into town to pickup a package at the post office and grab some groceries. I guess I better get dressed. It's going to be a lazy day for me. Later I'll watch some shows and check out the gallery. I'll come back in a few hours. Have a great day everyone.

good afternoon - whew I have been busy so a very late posting. Yesterday was a wonderful Thanksgiving and good conversation. Got to take home lots of leftovers. My son did the turkey and it was great. today First up and off for hair cut and color. My appt was at 10 but I left early as I thought oh no black Friday so there will be no parking spots but low and behold there were plenty but got in early so that I got out early so that was awesome! Always fun catching up with my stylist. Then rushed home to eat and meet Amanda as she and I were going to the dog trainer to figure out how to get all the puppies to play together. My DH came too so that made it easier with 3 dogs. Well the mini Australian shepherd was super aggressive and never did warm up to Luther. But it was not the dog, my Luther, but it was that Sidney, the shepherd is protecting Amanda and in fact their other dog Gizmo is also picking up the aggressive tendency. Gizmo and Luther got along really well and had a great time running around the backyard. But every time Luther would come near Sidney she was get snarly but Luther just thought she was playing LOL. So basically it will take a lot of patience to get them together or they have to go to obedience training like Luther did. I think they should do this but who knows if they want to because it takes a commitment to follow through. Now home watching hockey and tonight my Devils play the Detroit Redwings. Should be a good game. Then Sat and Sun I can rest LOL. We have been eating leftovers so good!

Chris so glad you had fun until the crash. It is hard for people who are not familiar with Lyme to understand. Good for Scott for driving and I am enjoying the Christmas lights too. Enjoy a calm day!

Trudy how fun to be able to spell your son and his wife for the weekend by playing with the kids. So many of the families of my son's friends have a lot of extended help while both mine and my DH's were out West.

Rae wow sounds like quite a night of shopping. I am so glad that I don't have many to buy for. And so much easier now that they tell me what they want and don't change their minds like they when they were little. It is fun to show off all the things one gets! So the animals wanted water - you do have a drought. Glad it was easily fixed and not any real damage!

Jean hi how fun to order from Shutterfly! I am sure the gift will be loved!

Have a great day all!
