:woohoo: It is Friday!!!
Vicky, you would call it Fri-Yay, IIRC... and I am going to see if I can channel that attitude.

This week went super fast and super slow at the same for me. I know I am getting some things accomplished (I brushed my teeth, it is a start bwahaha!!!).
Great news-- My mom only drove me slightly batty while doing online shopping with her yesterday. That's *way* better than usual. Most times, I am ready for a stiff drink after we do online shopping together. I helped her order gifts for Gary, Scott, Tom, and a few for Caitlyn. and I only got a little snippy once. She was telling me how to search for something for the fourth or fifth time, even though I had already been on that website and they were out of stock. Scott wants new hiking boots and she was fixated on getting them from one store near her. She thought that if I had them shipped to the store, she could somehow get them even though they were not available anywhere on that site. :rolleyes1:

She also kept insisting that she had paper coupons for me to try. Meanwhile, I had already had Honey searching and been to Coupon Cabin and Rakuten while she was rifling through her papers. :giggle4:

We grabbed a slice of pizza and went to TJ Maxx next door after that. I found a few stocking stuffers and a small gift for Sam. That takes such a weight off of my mind, just the feeling of getting started was huge.

Scott is coming this morning for coffee and other than that, all of my plans are to get more stuff crossed off of my to-do list. I have a bunch of things to do here at the O, prep lesson plans for Tuesday (the microscope has been sitting on my kitchen floor for the last two days, untouched), and text all of the cousins their secret Santas.

Wishing everyone a very happy day!

Yesterday it rained all day and today it is snowing. And look at me, I am stating that as fact and not as a complaint. :rotfl:

Good idea on the mammo, too! And speaking of that, how is the BFF doing?
Thanks for asking, she is not doing so well. It's the waiting game, you know? The next step is the MRI Biopsy on Dec 4th and then wait for the results from that and then see what type of surgery will be needed. She went from lumpectomy easy-peasy to potentially a mastectomy. I can't stop worrying about her. She is the sister of my heart and soul.
I know you are a "pray-er" so if you can keep her in your prayers, I will be so grateful. ♥

He said, "Oh, shoot!"
That's never a good sentence from a mechanic or a doctor :lol23:
I'm so relieved that it wasn't anything more than the valves -- this time at least. Your car has been in the shop more than not this past week or so.

@bcgal00 YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
( it took you long enough to change your mind and come back to us :giggle4: ) I am thrilled!!
Woo Hoo @bcgal00 welcome back! I knew you couldn't stay away from all the craziness here :giggle4:
GMTA!! :floorlaugh:

I hope that the yards are looking better and that you aren't overdoing it getting the leaves and branches cleaned up.

@AK_Tracy Spin-ny ballerina! Sound about right for me as well, as long as I am falling over at least once per rotation. Congrats on a successful trainee and manual!
One more week until you don't have to be out of the house and deal with people. I can't imagine how exhausted you must be, running nonstop. You got this!

:hug4: and have a fabulous and wonderful day!

I thought of you yesterday and today, Chris - it's awesome, right? I never thought I'd say that. My friend and I went to Costco and I only barely complained about shopping in the rain. Did you see that the NJ Forest Fire Service lifted the restrictions after the rainfall? Seems a bit hasty, but they know what they are doing I guess.

And, I'm so sorry for your friend's illness, it's so hard but it's nice she has good support and friendship in you. :heartpumpred:

Morning, all. Just realized that I forgot to check in yesterday. I was out running errands from mid-morning until mid-afternoon. Got everything done that was on my "must do" list.... :yesss: Today is going to be a PJ day - reading or watching DVDs and relaxing all day. Dressed in my favorite fleece PJs that keep me nice and warm and hot cup of coffee as I laze the day away. This is MY DAY... not doing any chores... or any thing except enjoy the day.

Good Morning everyone! It is pouring rain here again today and we are in for another stormy day. I am headed out to my fav craft store this morning and then to a Christmas Fair this afternoon with my friend Pat from our hiking group. I hope that the big winds hold off until later on today!! I don't care about the rain, at least i will be nice and dry inside at both venues. I spent a good portion of the day helping clean up the in-Laws front lawn, they have two pine trees that are not well and they are shedding needles like crazy! What a mess they make!! A previous owner planted them quite a few years ago and we wondered what he was thinking when he did so. Pine trees are for the forest not your front yard landscaping . Anyway there was an arborist company that was at the neighbours cleaning up the tree that fell on their garage yesterday, so FIL went over to talk to them about taking the trees down. The owner was supposed to get back to him with a quote, so hopefully that happens soon! Although FIL thinks that he could fall the trees himself REALLY??? :shakingsense:. Good thing he doesn't have his power saw anymore or I bet he would be out there right now doing it!! I just have to put some finishing touches on my December Calendar page and then I am done! :yesss:. Not sure if that will get done today or not, but thats ok at least I am not stressing over it this year. What I am stressing about is Christmas gifts and how to get them to where they need to go, with Canada Post still on strike, our suitcases might be overloaded with gifts. I suppose there is alway FedEx or Purolater I will have to look into the cost of that! I am trying to get most things through Amazon, but some things are not going to get there in time or they want too much $$. Anyway I should get off of here and get going with my day!

Yes this week went by way too quickly!! I am happy to hear that your Mom did not drive you bonkers while on -line shopping, too funny that she wanted to use her paper coupons!! I use Coupert but sometimes it drives me bonkers flashing away on the side of the page then none of the coupon codes work grrr!! Sounds like you have a good start on the gift buying! I am hoping to get lots done this weekend!! Have a nice visit with Scott over coffee this morning! A great way to start the day!

Love your cozy pj's!! So nice to have a day to just yourself and do what makes you happy!! Enjoy!!

Ok I will be hearing from Heather right away, she is stressing over Christmas gift buying too, so we will have to compare notes on what everyone would like for Christmas! Have a wonderful :friday:

Good Morning.
Its Friday but I work Saturday so I cant quite get excited yet. The sun is shining in my eyes. Needs to rise another foot. But Its shining!!! So yeah!!!! But that also means its cool but warmer. It was 10 today woo hoo!!!!!! The snow predicted this coming week is now a cold snap. I love when the snow sparkles like a pile of diamonds

Vicky, you would call it Fri-Yay, IIRC
Okay, brain. on vacay or something, what is IIRC again?

Oh Kay I wanna be sitting there with you! Such peace in that photo. :heartpumppink:
Although FIL thinks that he could fall the trees himself REALLY???

NO FIL you cant do it yourself!!!! They have people for that so you dont get hurt!!!!! Hope you get a quote that FIL can live with and pay.

Not much going on here. Working on changing up insurance (house) as the current one made me beyond angry. Told me I needed to do some lawn maintenance crime awareness management and I have until 12-31 to make these changes. UMMM HELLO! Its freaking winter with over a foot of snow already. How am I to make these changes??? And then while doing research I find that the current company has under insured my home. No wonder it was so cheap. UGH! Just more $$$$$ flowing out than in and I am jobless in 5 weeks so that's stressing me out and anyone have a spoon or two to lend me until 2025. I seem to have lost a few this week and last. Ready for Wednesday and NOT leaving my house. Just make pies and clean the bathrooms.
Have a wonderful day!

Not sure if the Fri-Yay originated with me, honestly!
I actually got some Christmas ordered yesterday! I sent a note to the moms of the grands with a link to Kohl's Black Friday deals that had already started. They had a ton of electronic stuff on sale, so I thought they would be interested. But, no, most of them just want cash! I'm OK with that! Easy Peasy!

Good Afternoon,
Spending my day in pjs again. No word about the car.
Had to catch up on my ATCs again.
Very chilly today. Woke up to a heavy frost this morning.
Think I will work on a calendar for next year.
Have a great evening!

Hi Everyone! It's Friday!!!! Yay! Belle will be here in the morning and we'll make some more organization progress for her move here in about a month. Her job interview at my work is this coming Monday. I'm trying to be excited without getting in her business. I'm also hoping to spend some time creating this weekend.

@BrightEyes your PJ's look so snuggly! I hope you had a wonderful, restful, relaxing day!
@vickyday It sounds like you had a relaxing day too! I'm sorry to hear your car is still giving you trouble! Thanks for the tip on IIRC because I didn't know what that was either!

@faerywings @taxed4ever Online shopping sounds really good! Today I went to TJ Maxx to pick up wrapping paper for Belle's birthday present. I'm not even thinking about Christmas yet! The lines were so long in the store, and the traffic was nutty getting there, so I left without buying anything. Not worth it to stand in that line!! And it's not even Thanksgiving yet! I guess the holiday shopping starts early, but then again, Thanksgiving is late this year.

Belle's birthday is on Thanksgiving day. She had planned that NYC trip to see the parade, but due to lack of planning and lack of funds, we're not going. Praise the Lord!! I'm so happy about that. But. For her birthday @MariJ sent me a link to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade merch! I bought a ton of it! Then I bought a NYC backdrop from Amazon, some NYC street signs and a "Welcome to New York" mat that we'll put at the base of the stairs, the street signs will be everywhere and the backdrop will be in the living room. I think I'll play Taylor Swifts Song "Welcome to New York when she comes into the Living Room. So on Thanksgiving, I'm going to surprise here with watching the parade in New York, with all her parade merch, New York bagels, and peppermint hot chocolate! I'm super excited for her. She's going to be so surprised. I hope.

Off to scrap and leave some love in the gallery! I hope you all had a good day!

This sounds like so much fun, Amy! A few other suggestions, one for another song. It may be overdone but Frank Sinatra or Liza Minelli singing "New York, New York" is very often used to start off New York City events.
If you need some background music after the parade, there's also Billy Joel's, "New York State of Mind, "Autumn in New York" by Billie Holiday, Manhattan” by Ella Fitzgerald and Take the ‘A’ Train” by Duke Ellington.
For food -- on the parade route there are always street peddlers with big hot pretzels and roasted chestnuts! Not so sure about the chestnuts, but I know my supermarket carries frozen hot pretzels that you can bake and have.
I can't wait to hear about Belle's reaction and see how it all looks, you've done such a great job with this!

I have that same concern Tracy, I guess I have to believe what they say, but it does sound so odd. This was all so new here in this particular area, we've had summers where there were restrictions but not where they had to bring in the State Forest Fire people. My amazement goes right with yours! Along with your insurance issues, good luck with that! :heartpumppink:

I was on a hike yesterday and lemme tell you-- the fire restrictions are not needed in Passaic County! There were sections on the mountain that got at least 10" of snow and my ankles can attest to that as we hiked through
