man, I hate technology sometimes. My browser keeps opening a new window randomly (dammit, it just did it again!) I thought that maybe the mouse cord was rubbing on top of my tablet, but is not. Gmail is still giving me fits. I can get emails on the web and on my phone, but not into Thunderbird. And, I lost my ipod somewhere in my house. Not a good way to start my morning. I am going to run more scans, a quick scan showed no virii ;)

I made it through yesterday ok. For the most part I was plugged into my phone listening to one of the outlander books. Then I got all emotional during a birth scene and flashed back to when my babies were born. I was also then totally struck by the amazement that my body actually *did* that!!!! No more info on the book, no spoilers from me :)

I cleaned the mold in the kids bathroom using borax, white vinegar and Dr Bronners soap. It seemed to work really well and it smelled much much better than the chemical stuff. And- I wasn't poisoning myself, which is *always* a good thing!

Tomorrow will be the beginning of the painting. I HATE ceilings, but it makes no sense to have my dad come up to help since bathrooms are so cramped as it is. Its all going to be Primer White so I don't have to worry about messing up the corners. It is going to need a couple of coats at least, since I am covering up a golden yellow. I have to go downstairs into the basement to see if I have any semi-gloss to do the trim. Or not. But I do have to spackle up some spots and nails heads etc. Will do that after work today.

That is about it from me. The good news is that so far, I am not feeling any crazy anger, but I guess the day is still young (6.15 am LOL).

QOTD
What are you thankful for today?
Me... its that ^^^ no crazy anger!!!

Laurie- Gary makes the BEST omelets. Not me, mine turn into scrambled eggs. I can never get them to flip like he does.

hahah, Phyllis!! Yes, you would notice a change in your personality, it makes you feel like you have an Alien inside, unless of course you *do* have an alien inside that we don't know about? (I am referencing a lot of old movies lately ;) )
That is an awesome idea about the bubble, think it will work on teens and middle aged men? Oh don't even bother to answer that one sheesh!!!!

Nancy I love the Outlander books too as you saw up there. I am listening to the last one that I read in physical book form. And while I really love reading them, I am finding that the audios are even more amazing. Good luck waiting to your vaca to get the next one. Where are you off to?

Trudy- I don't know if it it s township or a state law but we are not allowed to burn leaves at all. (I am pretty sure it is state, because my parents/IL's and friends can't burn either) But if there is a No Burn Ban, that is insane that people are still doing it!
I was thinking about getting some new tech stuff, I think Gary passed along the info on the new printer I liked (Canon Pixma) to my IL's. He told me that the monitor I am using is his old one, and it was refurbished when he got it about 10 years ago. God only knows how old the tablet is!!
I saw your page on FB, soooo happy to hear that you are feeling a bit better and that page was amazing!!

Jean- glad that the additional snow wasn't too much hassle. But be careful on the sidewalks!

Laurie- oooh, show us a pic of the new hair color!
I was thinking last night that stores should ship their packages in plain boxes, esp this time of year. Can you imagine if you ordered something for a child from Santa and you came home together and saw the box for it on your doorstep?

Oh well... guess that is the way it is. Printed boxes= free advertising.

Finish it Friday- I get to finish my last dose of Tindamax!! whhhhooooooooo hooooooooooo. *happy dancing*

xoxo!!!!!!!

howdy. i'm really tired of feeding the woodstove. and it's not even Thanksgiving. i could go on and on about what i'm already sick of...and it's not even Thanksgiving. ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT NEEDED!!!!:drama:

Chris. you KNOW what i'm going to say to this:
think it will work on teens and middle aged men
if you demand that you need this, you will get it. if you don't make it known that you need some space, people will keep invading yours. simple as that. let people know where your "line" is. and then enforce it. hope you find your iPod. i decided yesterday that i could not live very happily without my iPad. it is my entertainment partner in waiting rooms, while making dinner, while trying to hold dinner for an indefinite ETA while The Moving Target (also known as my husband) makes his way home. i can read in bed without a book light. i can have it tell me stories while i try to fall asleep. so. good luck! actually, good luck with ALL your misbehaving Tech!

Jean, good luck on the ice! be careful!

Trudy, as Chris said above, we have a total burning ban, except "recreational" burning. some people around here, when they are burning, have a few hot dogs on a stick standing by, in case the police stop by. it certainly can't make your breathing any easier, with all that smoke in the air! have you been back to the docs so that he can listen to your lungs, to be sure you're not still fighting something in your lungs? take good care, my friend!::grouphug

today. well, i think i'm baking some more bread for TG. i tried out my dough hook on my Kitchenaid mixer and baked 4 loaves for practice. not sure i like the texture of the bread made this way. so this morn, i'm going back to the aerobic exercise method: hand kneading. then maybe, for a break, i'll go wander the aisles at TJ Maxx for a bit, just to get out of the house. thrilling day!

QOTD: i'm thankful that i don't live in Buffalo. :smow:

well, on to Friday. y'all have a good one! :becky:

good morning - I finally got out to walk yesterday and it felt so good. There was ice on the River. I knew it was cold but just did not expect there to be ice so soon. This is a funny story. My husband chose a duck quack as the sound the iPhone makes when he gets a call. He was on his way home past the River last night when he heard his phone ring but there was not call. He kept walking and the phone quacked again. Well when he went to answer he realized he was hearing the ducks on the River not his phone. Too funny! Today is a pretty low key day. I plan on walking and scrapping and watching hockey. My team plays tonight and I am not confident. They keep talking about how they have to be better well I would like to see them do that and not just talk about it. LOL

Chris so sorry about your technology problems. It is the pits to have all those weird things happening. I hope your get what you want to make these go away.

Phylis I love what you said about teens and middle aged men. Yes demand and set that limit. And I too love my iPad. I use it all the time. It fits so perfectly on my kitchen counter when I cook so easy to read the recipes as I can enlarge the font. LOL Sorry you are having to feed that stove so much!

Trudy we can not burn leaves in NJ. And as nice as it smells I don't want all that smoke. Shame on people for not following the laws. Glad you are feeling better. Loved your wildlife photos.

Jean take care on the roads.

Have a great day all!

QOTD - Phylis loved your answer and glad I am not in that much snow! But thankful I can still get out and walk.

Happy Friday, all!
Last night we attended a preview party at the natural history museum of an exhibit of mastodons and mammoths. A great exhibit and fun time. They had a pelt from a musk ox to feel that is supposed to be similar to that of a wooly mammoth. It felt so nice and is really warm. We've gotten just enough new snow to make everything white again. Over the weekend it's going to warm up. Hope we lose the ice!

QOTD: Can't beat Phylis's not living in Buffalo, but also for just being inside and warm and with DH.

Chris, hope the painting goes quickly and sounds like you did a super job with cleaning it. Wish tech stuff would behave! and not hide.

Phylis, hopefully the warm up this weekend will cut down your need to feed the woodstove and reduce pre-Thanksgiving frustration in general.

Nancy, sorry about your Devils and hope they do actually get better. Love the ring tone story!!

Hey ladies, I have been so bad for not being here today, but I was crazy busy doing other things today and now just got back from the hairdresser and soon will pack a bag to go and spend the night at the In-Laws. This way we can visit have supper and not have to worry about all the elk on the road on the way home. It is raining like crazy here and that makes it even harder to see those darn huge elk. The Roosevelt Elk here on the Island are way bigger than the others in the Mountains, more like the size of a large Moose, so they are a bit scary to see at night!! Sorry no time for personals today, but I am thinking of all of you and hope to be a bit more present here tomorrow. Will catch up with you then!
