TGIF to all of you who need a weekend!!!!

Gary asked me last night if I was going to be able to rest today and I laughed and laughed, coughed, gasped for air a bit, then laughed some more.
I have 2 weeks to get ready for this d*** craft fair. Not only do I have to make all of the products, the software I used for all my labels was so ancient, it won't run in my computer, so I have to make everything from scratch. Then it is labeling, and packaging and signage. What was I thinking!?!?????

It is alllllll goooood! Must remember that. I put way too much pressure on myself (shocked, are you??? :pound: ) and whatever doesn't get done or is not perfect, no one is going to know except for me.Yup. If I say it enough, maybe it will get into my brain. OTOH-- I have been saying this to myself for decades, any idea how much longer it is going to take for it to work? :p

I also got in touch with my neighbor for whom I make gift baskets every year, and she is placing an order for the 4 regulars, plus my dad always gets one for my mom. This will def. help pay for Christmas gifts. If I only knew what I was getting people, hahahah!!!

Today will be more of the same as yesterday, in the kitchen, and in the attic trying to figure out how many baskets, wrappings etc that I will need. Maybe I can get Cait to go over to the thrift store with me later on- that is the best place to get baskets to re-purpose. I usually end up hand painting them and glassware to package and display products.

Hope that all of you have a fan-TAB-ulous day!
xoxo

It’s National Peanut Butter Fudge Day! Peanut butter has been a staple in American kitchens for more than a century. It can be served in a sandwich, mixed with ice cream, combined with chocolate, or whipped into fudge! Peanut butter fudge is the perfect treat for anyone with a sweet tooth and a love for rich, decadent desserts.
According to legend, the origin of fudge can be traced back to the 1800s when people used the word "fudge" to mean "cheat" or "mess up." One day, a chef accidentally "fudged" a batch of caramel he was trying to make, inventing the delicious confection we know and love it today.
Fudge is now made in many heavenly flavors, including the rich peanut butter variety. Try your hand at making a homemade batch in honor of National Peanut Butter Fudge Day!
I love fudge, but only seem to get it when we go to the Fair on PA over the summer.
Do you have a favorite flavor of fudge?
I think I like Choc and Walnuts the best with Choc. Peanut butter a close second.

Kat- Cait has to be ready to go to the bus stop around 6.30 and I need time for the coffee to hit the brain before I can talk, so my alarm goes off at 5.
th

I become human around 6.
Were you able to get any of your online shopping done yesterday? How long does it take for things to ship to AU? I bet you need to do it early or it will take forever.
The album i did was 20 pages. This is the third one I have done for them, One was for their trip to Italy, the other was to Ireland. makes me so jealous to see the gorgeous scenery.

Laurie- oh wow!!! That is awesome news about the job! Hope that you got everything done that you needed to do.

Katja- noooo Not ready for Christmas music!!! Christmas music means shopping and wrapping and decorating and baking. :faint:
NOT ready!!!!
The next line I just read was about your panic attack! I got one too!!

Nancy- how nice to get such good convo's in with your BFF and your sister. And then out with more friends- you are a true social butterfly.
WTG on the calendars- your Devils friends will adore them.

Trudy- the tree skirt came out amazing! She is going to love it. And you know what? It will be even more special to Heather because it has *you* in it as well.
I am not ready to shop for "grands" (ack, the thought :fear: ) but I can't wait to shop for the dogs. Last year, we had just lost Bunny and Merlin and I couldn't bear to look at gifts for the cats and Ray. I even had treats for Bun already when she died and I had to give them to a friend who had a bunny. I cried and cried at that.
Did you get your calendar done?

Rae- hope that you didn;t get too many branches down- we got lots of rain yesterday and wind- so whatever leaves Gary and I raked are probably all over again.
What a FAB gift for your GD- I think she will really appreciate it!

Heather- my MIL does the same, she has a table top tree that is perfect for the corner of her room. No sense in putting up something big when no one ios really around to see it.,

I am late. Again!
hugs!

Rae, you also have Xmas mugs ??? I'm so looking forward to getting ours out again.

Trudy, do you take orders LOL ? That tree skirt is gorgeous. I just drap a large piece of fabric around the bottom.
My dad made some wooden surrounds years ago, with different levels but my favourite fabric isn't large enough when that's around the tree. Not sure yet what it will be this year.

Everyone ... do you have the same tree every year ? I mean same decorations etc.

Ya know, I thought I did a lot each day (read: perfection over-achiever ), but Chris, you make my head spin! LOL It's Friday - yay! Payday - double-yay! Work assignments almost all caught up ... woo hoo! Oh, heck, I might get out of here ... *gulp* early?! OMG, did I just say that?! Sickies are still in the office, so I'm going to hibernate and stay put today- don't need another bout of illness, thank you very much.

Did a little bit of online shopping snooping yesterday. I think I'm going to get Bill (hubby) a wedge pillow. Lord, the guy can snore up a storm - it's like a freight train coming through the bedroom!! He likes to sleep on his back, which makes things 10 x worse. Stan (son) is asking for a wireless charging station for his phone ... okay, that's reasonable. Got to find something special for my Mum. Thinking some coloring books might be good - she's crafty, like me, but can be prone to panic attacks. The books might be a good way for her to relax and stay calm. Now, my brother?! Yeah, absolutely NO IDEA!!

Pssst, Christmas music playing in my office again today :eyebrows:

Morning Katja! Christmas tree - yup, same decorations each year - well, at least for the past couple of years: green, blue and silver; tree has white lights.

My question for everyone: Do you have and elf - you know, like Elf on a Shelf? We do!!! Her name is Lizzie. I don't know who gets more of a kick with staging things for her to do - me or my 21-y.o. son!! LOL I know some people think the elves are creepy - and yes, some of them sure do look it! LOL - but I love my elf. I've even splurged and got her a fancy coat and boots this year ... and yes, of course she'll be traveling to Australia with me!! ;)

Good morning, ladies! My day is off to a nice start. I've been enjoying my coffee, reading emails, posting pages, and watching Mockingjay Part 1 so I'll be ready for Part 2 that releases today in theatres. I've got a ton of editing to finish up over the weekend but wanted a bit of time to myself this morning before I get at it again. I popped out into the yard to take a few frosty garden pics. I'll enjoy scrapping with them. Want to see one?

Chris - sounds like such a busy time getting ready for the craft fair. Good luck!
Katja - yes, I have mugs that I only use from Dec 1 to Jan 1. Then they get packed away again.
Kat - I agree about the coloring books. They are a great stress reliever.
Trudy - sorry to hear that you're off to a funeral today.

My fave fudge is chocolate/peanut butter. My tree is always white lights and silver/gold with one color (last yr was burgundy). Not sure if I'll switch that out this year or not. Haven't decided yet.
