We made it!! it is Friday! woooo hooooo!

I am feeling slightly better today than yesterday, so I am thrilled to be going in the right direction. yay! I still cannot get over how cold and rainy it is. My dad was in PA to do some fishing T-W-Th and when I talked to him yesterday, he never made it out. It was too miserable.
I wish we could send our weather to Alberta to help with the wildfires. I have been following that a bit, and I can't wrap my head around the size and scope of it all.

Yesterday was... "interesting" with the kids and the LLMD. I emailed the dr for a note for Caitlyn, and then asked if Dr B wrote excuse notes for Jury Duty. Scott got the notice last week that he is called in June, and had asked if he could get a note. (My LLMD does that for me since there is no way I would be capable to sit on a jury). i told him that I didn't think that the dr would, since he has been symptom free, doing well, and all that.
When I typed the email, I was confident that I would have no prob getting the note for Cait but not for Scott.
The nurse emails me back with the note for Scott but *not* for Cait. :frusty:
It all worked out after to spoke with the Dr on the phone, but Scott had already did the pre-qualification survey and couldn't edit it.he thinks it would be neat to be on a jury but the city he has to go to is not a good one. If you look in any NJ news sites, gangs/shooting/drug activity is prevalent in about 4 main cities- Newark, Patterson, Camden and Trenton. he has to go to Patterson which makes him nervous, as I would be too.

Today I have nothing planned and I am not sure what I want/need to do. I have a list, but no motivation for any of it. I want to scrap- but still no motivation for that either.

Who has a good idea of something I can do?

I can and will wish you all a wonderful day!

Since IMHO Nurses do all of the hard work- today is:
It’s National Nurses Day! Today is the first day of Nurses Week, which begins each year on May 6 and ends on May 12 (Florence Nightingale’s birthday). Today we celebrate the meaningful work that nurses do each and every day.
In 1953, Dorothy Sutherland, an employee at the United States Department of Health, sent a letter to President Eisenhower recommending a National Nurses Day be created. Although Eisenhower did not make an official proclamation, people began celebrating Nurses Day the following year. Twenty years later, President Nixon made it an official holiday.
Today’s celebrations usually include banquets, award dinners, educational seminars, and community events. Participate in the activities taking place in your town, and remember to thank all the nurses in your life for their amazing work and dedication! Happy National Nurses Day!

Kat- i know this sounds crazy, but it is so "good" to hear that your friend went through similar symptoms. Not that I would wish any of this on anyone, but it is validating to me. See, i am not crazy and it is not all in my head :p
I hope that whatever curve ball was thrown at you is easily managed. Hang in there!!

hah! Cross-posting with me, usually it is all of those West Coast girls that do that.

Trudy- Ugh on not sleeping!! I hope that it wasn't too rough of a day for you and that you slept wonderfully last night. I have spent way too much time on Pinterest this past week, with my brain in Mush-Mode. I love seeing all of the puppy pics.
I can't wait to see your painting, bet it is amazing and no you cannot tell me you are not talented any more.
Ft MacMurray- the story is frightening esp how it is still totally out of control- 90K people evacuated... Lots and lots of good vibes to them

Rae- how ridiculous it that about your town *hiding* to catch people with dogs off-leash.Don't they have anything better to do? I guess, maybe it is *good* if they have nothing better to do, but still!
That is crazy about how brazen that raccoon is, and that he hangs with the cat. weird times...SMH. Have you called animal control, maybe they can catch and relocate it?
I had to get a new vax for Jaida and I guess when I bring Ray in too, for a bacteria spread by raccoon urine- leptosporis? lt begins with an L. No idea of that is in your area or if it is only here on the East Coast/Middle Atlantic or whatever, but maybe ask your vet if Taz would need that vax too?
I love hearing the dog stories and Ava sounds like a bit sweetheart!

Better get Cait moving along, I have to drive her to school again today since she has to bring snack in for the preschool.

Have a fab day, O-Zies!!!!

Yes - this!!! I'm in a blah mood today with a raging stomach ache - yeah, just what I wanted/needed. :puke: Doing what MUST be done at the office and then I think I'll head home.

Who has a good idea of something I can do?

LOL, well, I have a suggestion, but I don't think you could do it (I know I couldn't!!) : NOTHING. Absolutely-freakin'-nuthin'! That would be bliss, wouldn't it ... no worries, no to-do's, no cares ... and then I know you and I would be doing the same thing: but there's this ... that ... oh, and then this ... ROFL!!

How about a little binge watching tv and just chillin' for a couple of hours?

Hurray for Nurses! I've had some great help from them.

I haven't been around much, ironically one thing interfering was writing an article for a genealogy newsletter (at the editor's request) on digital scrapbooking. Now I'm one of a team teaching a class tomorrow on writing up genealogy, my part on scrapbooks. Last week I attended a state genealogy conference and today I'm "attending" a full set of lectures from the national conference in Florida - via live streaming. One already over though before I'm normally up even now.

I try to keep up with the daily O's, but haven't really been able for a while. Still always thinking of you and hoping your days go well, or at least better. Maybe more next week?

I am back. Didn't go anywhere but didn't really get my Mac out either. I'll be glad when mother's day over. Celebrating with my mom the last few years has made it tolerable, but now that she's gone I'll just be glad when it's over.

On a bright note, I've already set aside tomorrow for shopping for iNSD. :O)

Chris, you should binge watch The West Wing. Nothing makes me happier than a re-watching of one of my favorite shows.

T.G.I.F. Everyone, it has been a strange week! DH has been working OT and putting in 11-12 hr days to get caught up with all of the exhibits from crime scenes etc. Just goes to show you that crime is up in our area and I suppose everywhere else too! He is exhausted when he gets home, so we catch about 1 hr of TV to catch up on all the news and I usually end up watching another show by myself while he snores on the couch LOL. Should be back to regular hours next week. Then all of this horrible business of fires in Alberta, those poor people and by the looks of things there won't be much left to go back to. B.C. is unable to send any water bombers to help as we are fighting over 300 forest fires in our province already this year. My goodness what will summer be like?? :fear:

Chris - So glad that you are feeling better today, as for something to do today? Hmmmm I am with Kat how about nuthin!! Yesterday when you mentioned that you met a Newfie I thought you were talking about meeting a person from Newfoundland LOL it took me a minute to realize that you were talking about a breed of a dog :pound:  Here is a pic of my painting, however now that it is up on wall I think that I need to perhaps do one or two more smaller paintings to fill up that very large wall, what do you think?? Perhaps one on either side same height but less wide?

Here are a few pics from my garden yesterday too

I hope the colours brighten your day! I need something to eat and another cup of coffee so I will be back to finish off my personals in a bit!

Good morning, ladies. I was out in the garden taking a few pics of the same flowers that Trudy just posted. Taz happily trotted along beside me and kept chewing on the leaves. The bees were busy buzzing around so got a few shots of them around the blooms but no great shots as I was still waking up and wasn't patient enough to really focus on them. The sun is out and it looks like a nice day ahead. After work later I might be heading out to pick up Bailey and take her to see an apartment. She's going to find a small place of her own so my daughter and I will help as much as we can to get her into a place and get her set up. She did her own grocery shopping for this week and will do all her own cooking. I'm so proud of her. She's almost done school too and it looks like she will graduate.

Today I'll get my work done, tidy up around the house a bit and get some laundry done. I've been slacking off these last couple of weeks. Hubs is on call this weekend so he will probably be gone a fair amount of the time but I'm ok with that b/c then I can get things done on my schedule and won't really cook much. I definitely want to take some time to scrap too.

Chris - relax today and scrap and read a book. Maybe have a glass of wine later.

Trudy - lovely flower pics.I took a few macro shots of my flowers this morning. I'm loading mine into the computer now so might scrap a few of them over the weekend.

Waving hi to Kat, Jean and Cindy before heading back to work. With any luck I'll finish up just after lunch and be done for the day....fingers crossed. Have a great day everyone!

Yikes I got carried away with cleaning and watering the plants and realized that I forgot to come back here to finish up my personals :becky: Oh well I have all my work done now and won't have any to worry about for the weekend hooray!!

Kat - Hope you get things all finished up at work early and can get home. Hope your weekend is not too hectic for you!!

Cindy - It is hard to get through those first few Mother's Day/Christmas etc. when your Mom is no longer with you. I wouldn't say it gets any easier, but I think you learn to cope better as the years go by!

Rae - So nice that you were able to get out to take some pics of your flowers too, I did them so quickly that I really wasn't sure how they were going to turn out. Hope Taz left those bumble bees alone while he was helping you outside LOL. I was slacking off housework for a long time too, but so glad that I got it all done and over with for a few days anyway. Enjoy your time alone hope you get to scrap your photos of your flowers! How wonderful that Bailey is doing so well!! You must be so very proud of her and she is so lucky to have you in her life!! Have a great weekend!

Ok DH will be home soon, so I better think about something to eat for dinner tonight. Sunday we are have SIL Linda and MIL and FIL come to our house for Mother's Day Dinner, the guys are buying and we picked Chinese Food for the meal. It will be nice to not have to cook!!
