Just a quick post from me, I am not feeling chatty at all today. Titania took a really bad turn yesterday and is not doing well. She stopped moving around and her ears, hands, and tail turned white which is a sign she isn't getting enough oxygen. Caitlyn wasn't able to get an appt with her regular vet who suggested she take her to the emergency hospital. She and Gary went here around 3 and didn't get home until 7. Unfortunately that made Scott and Leah's b-day/grad dinner a bust too.
The ER vet isn't 100% sure what is going on, it is possibly pneumonia. It could also be something with her heart. They couldn't do any tests b/c she would need to be sedated and they didn't think she was going to make it through that. They also wanted to keep her overnight for oxygen/fluids/nutritional support bit the low-end estimate was -- sit down for this one-- $1400. Low. End.
Caitlyn is heartbroken and while hoping for the best, it isn't looking good. I slept up in her room last night - which brought on flashbacks of the night that Bunny died while we were on death watch with Merlin.
God, some days I *hate* being a parent, that helpless feeling bites. :(

Aside from picking up groceries this morning, I am thinking that my day is going to be with Tat and Cait.

I know that you are already doing this-- but if you could send good thoughts to Cait and Tat. They both need them very much.

Sending our prayers along to you. This is always so hard Chris. We love our fur babies!

Speaking of babies, my grand baby is now 4 lbs 6 oz and in a big baby bed. He is now 37 weeks old. Still on air/oxygen depending on the need and still must learn how to sustain himself on a bottle vs a feeding tube. He is getting there. We went from 10 ml of formula to 38 ml ( 1.2 ounces)in a bottle. It isn't much but when you are that small, it doesn't take much! :cheer2::cheer2:

Enjoying our beautiful weather. Still spring in South Louisiana which is strange (for May)

Have a great day!

Good day - my DH and I walked Luther downtown so we got do a Breadsmith run. I do love bread. I am not cooking tonight so I thought instead of pizza I would get pepperoni stuffed bread. It is so good. Then they had garlic knots and coffee cake knots. And my DH wanted chocolate scones. So I think we are set for the holiday weekend. It is sad with the pandemic that there will be no Fleet Week in NYC which means I don't get to go to Liberty State Park to watch the ships arrive in NYC. My son was on a ship one year and it was pretty cool to see then sail in. OH well hopefully next year. The weather is good, in the 70s. But the clouds are coming which means rain tonight and tomorrow. But our governor is now allowing gatherings up to 25. That is good for family Memorial day parties. Got some scrapping started so that is good. Not much else.

Chris so sorry to hear the decline of Tat. It is so hard to invest and then see them decline and not to be sure why and not to know what to do. Sending hugs and positive thoughts for sure. Sorry dinner was a bust. Hope things go well today!

Sharon that is such good news about the grand baby! And congrats on the good weather.

Morning ladies... I won't take up too much time here this morning either. It does not sound like it is a very good morning for Chris, Cait and Tat! Hope that your day does not end on a very sad note! Sending you all lots of gentle hugs!! Lots of good thoughts are coming your way also!

Sharon - So nice to hear that your little baby is growing and getting better with the bottle, taking on more formula! Still so small, but sounds like he is a fighter and will be growing in leaps and bounds soon!

Felis - I hope that things are better for you in the coming days and weeks! You sound like you are feeling very lonely! Sending you lots of love today also! Yes, Canada is a big Country and it is hard to have everyone living so very far away! Hopeful that the airlines won't make it impossible for us to fly to see the kids and the grands! Enjoy your rainy weather while it lasts!

Kay - Yes I have heard that some meds will cause a cough, my BIL is constantly coughing and it is because of the high blood pressure meds that he takes. That and the fact that he is a Vaper, ever since he quit smoking. That surely is not helping his coughing either. Silly man!!

Nancy - Hope that you are enjoying some lovely weather again today! You must be enjoying the walks now that the parks are open. Ontario is not opening their schools until September. Heather is glad for that as she was not going to send the kids back until they see if there is a second wave of Covid19 in the fall. Hope that there is not! It will be awful to have to go through all of this again!

Ok I need to get my grocery shopping online done and get busy with the cupboard painting! I hope everyone has a decent day! Feeling so badly for Chris and Caitlyn and for everyone in her family of course!

Oh, Chris... so sorry to hear that Tat passed away. <<< hugs to you, Cait and the family>>>

Sharon, so glad to hear that your grandson is improving and learning how to suck from a bottle. Keeping him in my thoughts, too.

I ended up have a phone call conference with my doctor's PA yesterday afternoon. She agreed that she was sure it was from the BP medicine since I have been treating my reflux and allergies with no improvement in the cough. She changed my medicine but unfortunately the Base pharmacy is closed today and Monday due to the Memorial weekend holiday. Will go over on Tuesday to get the Rx... and will probably stop at the commissary while I am over there. She did reassure me that the cough medicine I have is okay to take with hypertension. Glad to know that I do have the right one.

DD#1 called to say the closing on their old house will be next Wednesday. I know she is relieved that the sale is happening soon. She also found some clear liquid handsoap for me. Turns out the one I got from the commissary caused the back of my hands to turn red like blisters so had to stop using it. I have some hydrocortisone cream that is helping with the redness and itching. Guess all the hand-washing has done a number on the hands so they are sensitive now. We will do the social distancing thing when she comes over with the great-granddaughters tomorrow. They will be going back home soon. Hard to believe they have been here a month already.

Have you gals had a chance to see the MiniO's yet??? Some really nice ones this month. Need to grab a few more and get some LOs made today.
