The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
I would do this :bliss: in honor of surviving until Friday but I am way too :bored: to do that, so imagine me dancing around in my head cuz my body is not up to going along with it.

What a mess of a day yesterday was. I emailed the VP, and she said Cait had maxed out on 3 classes, but still had two absences that should be excused but didn't have the drs notes. Had to dig them up, scan them and email them. (Thank goodness I save *everything*!!!!) Emailed the LLMD, who calls me and speaks to Caitlyn and I for well over a half hour. He wants to see her and do a full work up, so we have to go down there on Tuesday.

In between all that I had to be outside, just pulling weeks and clipping grass along the edges of my lawn. It looks much better, and I didn't have to think for a few hours.

I am just so damn tired of it all. :(

I have to be thankful for the good things, the sun is shining we are going to have a pretty day and my mom and I are going shopping together today. I am in desperate need of underwear and socks. I have been wearing Gary's old socks for the last 2 years and they are dingy and full of holes. She has been wanting to take me shopping for a while but there is always something else going on. And why do I need new clothes, all I do is bum around here, in Gary's clothes hahaha!!

I have been pretty much withdrawing and I know that is my escape/coping mechanism but I am working on it...

lots of love and good happy thoughts for everyone
:humble:

Nancy- why is it that men seem to have such a different way of communicating? ha!!! How nice for Luther to be making so many friends. Jaida is so territorial of the house but is fine at the park, and Ray is the opposite- which I will never, ever be able to figure out.
Hope that DH is better today too. How did USA do with the hockey game?
Thank you on the nice words with the table! I can see where I messed up and got brush strokes in it, but Gary says no one else sees them but me.

Rae- sounds like the diet is going really well for you. That is wonderful and is super that you can feel the difference already. :high5:
Thanks for the support re: Caitlyn.
How far is the Trailer? Hope that you have a wonderful weekend!

Trudy- oh wow, that is not good to see so many dry creeks beds. But what a gorgeous hike it must have been, I can imagine getting lost in my head on one like that and just enjoying life and nature.
That is so weird that you can see the table but not the zinnias? I think I have them both on Google Photos? Anyone able to see the zinnias?
Enjoy the new TV!!!

kat- thanks for the update on Stan- hope that today isn't going to be too painful for him, and that he isn't grumpy ;)

I have to drive Caitlyn in to school today, she has all of the paper goods for the Preschool Graduation to drop off. She also has he bagel b-fast for the High Honor roll kids too.

have a great one!

Chris, I hope Caitlyn has a great day at school - sounds like some fun things planned. Sorry to hear she's still up and down with the illnesses :( Hopefully the doctor can help get things settled down for her.

Yeah. Stan. Yesterday afternoon all the anesthetic wore off and he was miserable, and grumpy, and angry (yay for biopolar - anger is his "emotion" that comes out during mood swings). Of course, he tells us he's in pain (enough to want to punch a hole in a wall ... oh, goodie!) AFTER we'd just given him the 600 mg ibuprophen ... so we can't give him Vicodin for three hours. Boy, were we counting the minutes or what!! Bed at 10 ... up at 11 ... and 12 ... and then more pain meds and HE finally went to sleep. Of course, I didn't until 1 or so and then it's back up at 5 and getting ready for work. Bill has today off, so he's going to have to handle everything.

Rae, yay on the food changes. I just switched from WW to a Beachbody program (21-day fix) as two coworkers are BB coaches and I get support M-F, which is great. It's basically no sugar, too - amazing how different I feel. I really thought I'd miss my Diet Coke and Crystal Light ... but no. Switched over to sparkling water, which has no sugar and no artificial sweeteners, either. All the swelling has gone from my ankles (yay, I HAVE ankles - who knew?!), dropped a few pounds and a few inches, too. Go us!!

good morning - It is supposed to get to the mid 70s today - yea spring today. But come the weekend it is to be total rain out. I guess we will be walking Luther in rain. LOL. My DH began a backyard project so I know he is feeling much better and today is back at work but ran into problems so I will see how long it takes to get it done. He is finally putting up wood trellis around the deck to keep Luther out. The lawn mower continues to not work LOL.

Chris hope Cait has a great day. Sounds like fun activities. Enjoy some time in the sun today! And yes it was fun for Luther to play. Have fun shopping with your mom.

Kat thanks for the update on Stan. So glad it went so well and so fast. Today should be fun eating all those soft foods.

Trudy you are surprised by the lack of water on your hikes while I was totally surprised by all the water in the creeks on my hikes in Arizona. Glad you did not see any bears. Seven miles I am totally impressed!

Rae have a fun 3 day weekend. So glad that your new eating is having such outstanding results. I think I could live without bread if it not eating it made me feel so much better.

Have a great day all!

Kat awesome on how your changes made you feel too! I guess you just have to know with Stan each day is going to be better!

Morning ladies... a wet morning this morning, but not sure if it will amount to much actual rainfall. Long weekend for us this weekend and as usual it is not supposed to be too nice weather wise. This morning I have to run the car to the Honda Dealership for an oil change etc. I can't believe that it has been almost a year since the last one! Loving our new CRV, so fun to drive and so great on gas! Anyway I have to wait around for it to be done so I will pack my umbrella and raincoat and hit the Mall that is not too far from the dealer. Perhaps go for a nice walk down the friendship trail that winds around the downtown area. Later on is another Chiropractor appt and then I will have to get my list ready for grocery shopping. Not a real exciting day, but oh well.

Chris - Sorry you are having to deal with the idiots at school again and I hope that Cait makes it through this day without any tummy issues! Sure hope that the Dr. can find out what the heck is going on with her! I wish you could have joined me on my hike the other day you would have just loved it!! I kept thinking that it felt like we could come across a little hobbit house just around the corner LOL. So lush and green even with the lack of rain recently. I think I should do a scrap page about it!!

Kat - Ugh sorry to hear that your Stan is in so much pain!! Hopefully today goes better for him and that the meds help out! How wonderful that you found a diet that seems to be working for you! So glad that you are off that horrible Diet Coke and Crystal Lite, both like poison for your body!! WTG !!!

Nancy - Hope your DH gets his backyard project finished and doesn't leave it half done for weeks to come LOL. Isn't it strange that places that don't usually have much water are getting lots of it and out here on the Wet Coast we are experiencing the least amount of rainfall in history for May. Pretty scary what is going on with our weather. Just heard this morning that the forest fire in Fort MacMurry Alberta has now crossed over to Saskatchewan, still being a horrible beast of a fire and no sign of getting it under control.

Rae - Have a wonderful time at your trailer, looks like the border crossing is not too busy so far, hope you get across quickly as I hear that they are having big sales and taking our dollar at par. It could get very busy!!

Ok I better get showered and dressed and get the car to the dealership, have a wonderful Friday everyone and do something fun today!!

Good morning, ladies. I slept in an extra hour and only woke up b/c Taz pawed at me to wake up to let him outside. I'm so used to Darrell getting up an hour before me and he wakes me up. I set my alarm but for some reason it didn't go off. Not a big deal, just meant I didn't get to sit long with my coffee and book before heading down to my office. I will be working as quickly as possible today to finish up by 5:00 and head over to the border if its not too bad otherwise I will hang around and wait until about 6:30 to leave and hope that the lineup has died down by then. I've got 2 borders to choose from so hopefully one of them won't be too bad. I was so mad last night, I had closed down my work computer earlier but as I passed by the office door hours later I saw it running and doing an update. Turns out that windows 10 is randomly installing updates even if you didn't ask for them, didn't click the reserve request....grrr. I couldn't stop it so had to let it finish installing, took about an hour so I was fuming as I sat in my jammies waiting, I had wanted to go to bed. I researched on my other computer and found where it said to start it when completed but when I get to the window to accept the rules/regulations, to decline. Then it took me to a window where I got to choose going back to my previous windows 7 install. So finally I was back to windows 7, about 1.5 hrs later. No wonder I slept in this morning. My work software company is not ready for windows 10 so they've asked all their clients to wait, not to download yet as it won't be compatible. Hope they get it worked out soon b/c there are going to be a lot of physician offices screaming if their medical records aren't accessible for those that don't catch the upgrade and try to use windows 10. Ugh. But I'm glad I found out what to do. Apparently Windows 7 and 8 gives this option for 30 days and then that decline option will disappear. I think that's awful that they are forcing an upgrade on us if we haven't requested it. OK....rant over. At least my computer is working this morning so I can get to work now. LOL.

Chris - our trailer is about an 1.5 hrs away as long as the border isn't too busy. It's so peaceful there with the quiet country roads, the huge ranch where we have our trailer is very wooded and green, there are no lights except for small lights built into the power sources for each trailer, along the roadway, so at night it's very dark except for the deck/patio lights that people put on. We have blue rope lighting around the bottom of our big deck and a standing pole lantern with a blue light. Up above, in the ceiling of the deck we have small white LED lights. It's very subtle lighting. I love it out there. Plus, its nice that Bellingham is only 25 minutes away so we go in for shopping quite often.

Kat - glad that Stan made it through the extraction so well. Hope he's having some nice soft foods like ice cream. I've gone GF a few times over the last 3-4 yrs but end up being sucked back into the wheat foods. But this time my joints were so sore and stiff, gradually happening over the last couple of months, until finally I was really struggling to get down the stairs each morning to my office. Once I was up and about a bit, the stiffness would lessen quite a bit but then after sitting again for more than 15 minutes or so it would start up again. Even though I've gone GF before and had seen the results, I was nevertheless really surprised this time how much difference it made and within less than a week. So, I guess as I'm getting older my tolerance for wheat is getting worse and worse so when I eliminate it the results are even more obvious. So unfortunately, wheat is just not acceptable anymore in my diet. The odd burger if I'm out or a piece of birthday cake here and there but basically I'm be GF about 95% of the time now. Plus the headaches and brain fogginess are gone too. Crazy how food can effect us.

Trudy - you go on the most wonderful hikes! Glad you share some photos. I enjoy seeing them.

Nancy - glad your hubs is getting better.

Gotta go, get my work done today and get out of here for the weekend. Hopefully the internet will be working and I can get online but if I disappear for a few days, you'll know why. Have a wonderful day, everyone.
