TGIF!
As I said, now that I have plans (If you want to call what I do "plans"...), weekends seem to have more of a marker than any old day. Not that it actually *means* that I do anything differently, just that I can tell the difference in days.

My day was another messy-head one. I was going to make the peanut butter brownies for my dad, but I didn't have PB chips that I swore I had. I did find three bags of powdered sugar that Caitlyn couldn't find and had me get another bag this week. I now have 8 lbs of powdered sugar! I made apple fritter bread instead since I still had a bunch of apples when my friend dropped of the food from the school lunches her kids got and didn't eat. I made him a card, my niece a card, installed fonts, and antivirus software. At that point, my head was spinning.

Then-- I was outside planting my veggies. I put in the rest of the herbs, cucumbers, roma tomatoes, patio tomatoes, and yellow grape tomatoes. Scott and Leah went to my ILs last night for dinner and he is bringing home daffodil bulbs from there. So exciting! Now when I drive down my street, I don't have to plot ways of stealing my neighbors' bulbs. No- I wouldn't actually do that!! But there are times I think about it. LOL By the time I was done, I was covered in dirt, I smelled like the Off Spray I was doused in, and I swore I had gnats up my nose in spite of the dousing.

Cait and I are driving down to my parents' and Scott and Leah are meeting us there. I hope that things have calmed a bit there. My mom has been very worked up about everything and my dad is being super stubborn. The Dr told him he is not allowed on stairs without having a railing- so what does he do? Goes downstairs to *watch TV* and of course, the stairs don't have a railing and yes, he has fallen on them before. (In his defense he had always fallen *up* them but still!)

At least the sun is out. That will be good.

Wishing everyone a fab day!

@nancyr I get happy when I pay bills too, but I would be happier if they didn't keep coming back every month :p
Did your oven get fixed? I hope so. I like your confidence in me that I can calm my parents down. I am not so optimistic. heh.

@bcgal00 I saw the photo of Taz and Remi together on FB- My goodness they make a beautiful pair. How do you get them to stay so still??? Every photo I have of W, she is all blurry, the silly thing does not stop moving. Better than it was Thursday than Wednesday. Good for you to still be cleaning out so much stuff.
Are you going to be able to open the trailer this summer?
Remi sure is a working dog. A love that Taz follows along with her training too. Your friend's house sounds a lot like his house.

@tanteva happy Sunday/red day! What holiday is it that you are celebrating? I think you said it was the king's birthday this month?
Good for you to forget about WWs for a day or so. It has to be nice to allow yourselves a break here and there.

@Cherylndesigns You are going to flip out-- that area is one of the emptier sections of the house. Seriously. He has almost every available spot of the walls covered with some sort of weapon, shelves of skulls and gnomes, and creepy dolls. He is a horror fan and photos of actors that he has met at horror conventions. There is no way that I can dust everything so I use a Swiffer wand and work very carefully. He has two fake horse skulls under one cabinet and I knocked out one of the teeth a few years ago with the vacuum. I was so upset and he shrugs and says he will glue it back in. No problem. To say cleaning his house is an adventure is an understatement!!!
I love the photos! The way that the walkway curves along the bed - has gorgeous lines (and a pretty dog!) I am jealous of the tiered garden too. I love it all! Good luck!!

Sending love to all of you who have been quiet, hope you come back to say hi soon.

You're one good little catholic girl, aren't you? LOL It was Ascension Day yesterday. Really stupid we still have a holiday for that, Sweden hasn't been Catholic since 1524. But ... we can always use some free time. LOL

Really should be getting stuff done here, but I'm not getting out of this chair it seems. We need to go and get some groceries, and I really really REALLY need to fix the cats' litter boxes. And fix some more stuff in the garden. God, I hate that place. I wish I was rich and could get someone else to fix our garden. Now I just hate it - can't even sit outside and enjoy the sun - all I think of is everything that I haven't done and feel guilty. Why did we buy a house with a HUGE garden???!

Today we are back to be WeightWatchers again after 1 ½ day of not counting. Will make some kind of Asian tempeh fry up and rice today. Hope it will turn out fine. Don't have any recipe in mind, thought I'd wing it from what I have at hand.

Busy morning... trying to get caught up on scraping pages and getting them uploaded to galleries. Getting there but it is taking awhile. Had my computer quit suddenly yesterday as I was scrapping a page... and of course, I had not saved it!!! Grrrr!! Got back in and tried to open a template in PSE19 and it crashed - TWICE!!! So did a restart - which took forever and decided that I should do a back-up to my ExHD before I did anything else. Emptied the Recycle bin and shut the computer down, After I fixed supper - grilled steak, baked potato, corn and cole slaw - decided to check out the laptop... as it had hung up on me the last time I tried to use it. Hallelujah - not only did it open correctly but the camera that had quit working 2 weeks ago was now working just fine!!! I like to use the laptop for the family chats. I keep it on the kitchen table so it is handy to use. Also use the camera on it to take selfies. So... feeling a bit more optimistic... I decided to try PSE19 on my computer again... and it loaded fine and was able to open a template with no problem. Needless to say, I was saving it every couple of minutes as I worked on a layout. Did another backup to ExHD again as I had also downloaded a couple of new kits. Think all this was a warning that my computer has too much on it so need to winnow down what is there. I am going to get a new ExHD... saw a 5TB one on sale so may run over and pick it up today. Also need to pick up some DVDs and get a bunch of 'retired' kits and Designers onto them. Then maybe I will get up the courage to move things over to DH's computer which is several years newer than my computer.

Chris, you are giving me a push to that as you are moving right along with installing things onto your new computer. WOW... that guy you clean for has a LOT of STUFF!!! Thanks for showing us a photo of the 'less crowded area". Geeze, I wouldn't know where to start cleaning with all that stuff around. Good luck on your visit with your parents... hope things are a little less hectic between the two of them.

Am off to get a shower then head to the store. Also need to drop off some bills at the Post Office. CYL

Good morning (almost afternoon) ladies. I finished up my work for the day so now can play and train with the dogs, go out for a long walk later and get some chores done. I love when I have a quiet Friday with work. I'm hoping that when covid is over that my boss will take a nice long trip which means I'll get a nice long break from work. I keep thinking about retirement (just short of 1.5 yrs) and although I may still keep work for a bit, maybe I won't or maybe I'll work even less at something else. But to have that option is going to be so nice.

I have started to decrease my spending, getting used to living on less as our retirement will be a little tighter financially. I am getting used to not buying hardly any digi supplies (but don't really need to as I'm on CT teams) but I used to have such a hard time resisting every pretty thing out there. The same goes for tv stuff, I cancelled my britbox and acorn tv as I don't need it, cable and netflix give me more than I could ever watch plus we have an android box (but we don't really watch it too much, only hubs for IPTV that he likes a lot).

Because of covid and not being able to go out shopping much, I got used to it and now don't really want to go out shopping unless I really need something and unless its on sale, now I just shop mostly on amazon.

Times sure change!

@faerywings how nice that you'll get the daffodil bulbs. They are such pretty flowers. Enjoy them.
@BrightEyes good luck with all the computer stuff.
@tanteva good luck getting back on track with WW tracking. I know how time consuming that can be (I used to be on WW many years ago).

Have a great day everyone. I'm getting another coffee, will feed the dogs and enjoy my afternoon.

Good afternoon.

I'm finally setting down. Chuck and I went back to Lowe's. I got the rest of the herbs that I wanted, but still no chives (are they considered veggies?) Anyway, they didn't have any. I splurged and bought two huge pots of white Hydrangeas!! I've always wanted those and darn it - I got them! They were $25 for each pot, but they're going to look beautiful! I think I have the plants set where I want them. I also got some yellow Day Lillies. They all just need to be planted now. (No problem).

The kids were so excited to see how much "their" plants had grown! I was thrilled that they were happy and actually went out to see them. They started them, from seed, at school for a project.

Chris, that picture of the guy's house made my skin crawl - I don't think I could go in there. Horse skulls (even if they're fake)??? I'll bet you about croaked when you knocked one of the teeth out. They have things like that all over out here and I'm not a fan. I don't like deer heads on the walls, either, but I have a feeling Roger will have at least one over one of their fireplaces.

I hope your dad recovers soon - I can just imagine your mom and dad bickering. I remember how my parents bickered. SHE bickered and he ignored which made her madder.

I'm going back out to work on the patio and try to plant my herbs and some little flowers I bought today. I have 4 clay pots to fill and I found a palette up by the house construction site and had Braden bring it down to me. I'm going to set it in the corner (for dimension) and put my clay pots up on it.

TGIF! Hope everybody has a nice weekend. Waving to all.

WW is super easy now. I've been avoiding it cuz it was so complicated when I tried it in the 80s. Then my hubby's niece started, and she showed me how easy it is. Lots of food you can eat for "free" and the app does all the work for you, more or less. You can scan the bar codes in the store when you shop, to help you decide the best choices. So easy to customize your diet to fit yourself.

But basically - WW is still a cult, so don't drink the Kool-Aid ;) :D
