Happy Friday!! It kind of feels like a Monday, Caitlyn agreed to that too. It has been a long week. It feels weird that I am cleaning today instead of Wednesday.

Aside from my trip to the hair salon yesterday, it seemed to be another one of those days- no idea what I did. I heard from BFF- still no set idea on how it is all going to work out for her DD. Then her son got declined for an Internship he applied for and Scott found out he might not be eligible for a scholarship he is applying for through the ecology center he volunteers at because Chemistry is dragging his GPA down. Not a good day for our kids. :(

My hair looks good, IMO. The bangs are a bit short but I can push them back until they grow a bit. I did go a bit lighter so hopefully, that will perk me up, visually speaking if not energetically ha!!
I finished another LO for my nephew's album, I have been cheating-- just grabbing old LOs and reworking them a bit. I have one more to do and then I can start scrapping for myself again.

That is about it here, another cold day ahead but tomorrow we will get around 40*.

HAGD!!!

Trudy- no!!! More snow? I hope it melted. We are supposed to be getting more tomorrow night but then it should warm up on Sunday. So darn done!!!! That stinks about the shipping being so expensive. It doesn't seem right. Good for you for getting your Apple/Android boxes cleaned up and working better.
That is a great tip from your MIL, was the freezer cleaning was easy to do?
I think your paintings are gorgeous and I hope that they sell!
I forgot that I wanted to cut back on my caffeine yesterday and had 2 mugs (4 cups) but today I had 1.5 mugs and maybe if I need it, I will have some tea this afternoon. If I can get myself to 1 mug, I will be satisfied.

Jean- I never thought I would say this, but congrats on eating a salad! Enjoy eating again. I hope that it warms up for you too. This cold weather is depressing.

Karen- oh sweetie, I am so sorry that you are feeling that way about yourself. I can understand. I used to be pretty active and conscious of what I ate (even if it was in a somewhat unhealthy manner) but after I got sick, it was too exhausting to do anything. Now I feel I am in the same rut as you.
Could the foot pain be gout? My mom has that and it can be very painful and is triggered by a bad diet and not drinking enough water.
When the weather gets nicer, it will be much easier to be more active and eat healthier.
Happy birthday to your DD!!!

Kay- hope that you had good luck with your financial planner and are able to be successful in what he recommends. That is what my parents are doing today too. So many ups and down in the last few years.
I will be thinking of you today, I hope that each month the pain lessens a bit.

Rae- did all of the snow melt? I can't wait for our snow to do that, even if it means that months of dog poop will be uncovered. Blech!
haha! What is it with men and spilling things? And why don't they *notice* it and wipe it up? SMH!!

Better get my day started... TTYS!! ::grouphug

good morning - well it is to be above freezing today. Yea! My DH took Luther to doggie daycare so I am home alone. Yesterday's PT was pretty disappointing on my part. My knee seemed tighter than usual and she could feel that I was fighting her. Felt bad but some days are just like that. Last night I could not stay awake past 9pm. My DH was shocked as I was in bed before he came home. But I slept so well. I got up at 7am. My Devils play in DC and that should be a real test. Not sure who will be playing with so many injured. This is pretty funny. Amanda, the woman who is the media facebook twitter person for the Devils, rolled her ankle and now she too is injured. My poor team. The races in the NHL are so interesting and there is just a month left in the season. I have to say I am looking forward to DST. I like sunshine.

Chris so happy you got your hair done. Doing for you is a great thing! Sorry about the news for the kids. That is such a bummer when just one class Chemistry can have such an impact on the scholarship. Hoping for good news on your goddaughter and her brother. Hopefully he applies for more internships. And yes we deserve the best spring and summer after dealing with this.

Trudy wow you MG must be so happy for the way Boston is playing. I could not believe they scored 2 goals in the last 90 secs. Pretty impressive! Sounds like my former Devil just has a lung contusion and not a concussion as if any injury could be good. Your paintings are so gorgeous. You are super talented. Hope this is the last of your snow!

Rae I am so glad that you and Jen stood your ground. My DH and I had to do that with teachers. Professionals who feel more educated often feel they know more than the family. I hated that! I hope the transition goes well. Have fun scrapping!

Karen I totally understand. It took me awhile to finally decide on getting my knee replaced. I did gain weight. I am hoping I will be more active especially as the temps warm. Congrats on find the dress! And enjoy the dinner. And Happy Birthday to her.

Jean so glad you are cleared to eat a greater variety of food. A salad sounds wonderful. Glad that your weather is improving!

Kay I know what you mean about financial planning. I gave up and just have my money managed and we talk at least 2x a year. As long as they are making me money I am happy. But I do keep up with the transactions.

Have a great day all!

Hello lovely ladies!
Happy International Women's Day! :cosmo:cosmo:cosmo
Here we celebrate it with ladies lunch. It was so fun. Even between us and aunt still have tension. But the DIL is so sweet and looks like really is liked our gift or at less pretending good. She have adorable pics of the baby, but is not comfortable to allow they to be scrap and posted public. However!

I'm in so good mood. Want to scrap. But NOooo.
I stared at the blank page, browsed all lovely kit I'm not used yet. Read few times the challenge rules. And still NO. Nothing birthday or the number related. I hope this to not continue during the party or I'm in trouble. My family don't have tradition to take photos on our celebrations, so not many photos to use. Also my OCD is strongly affected by superstitious, so I struggle with using of some numbers when they have to be on my pages. General block!
I have ten, literally 10 page ideas in my imagination.
(liberation day, first days of Spring, St.Patrick, traveling photo, one song lyric, cat page, cook page, snow days, the new lovely chocolate kit, the new silhouette kit)
Some of them I'll just left, because they wasn't applied nowhere to this month, but other still want to do. So I finished making this.

Chris, new hairstyle for the woman's day sounds lovely way to note the case! Sorry for the kids trouble, hope they'll can be resolved!

Nancy, sorry to hear your disappointment about that you had a weak day with the exercises, but you're still our hero! With so fast progress is normal to have some slowdown. Hope the Devils game to be interesting when they aren't in the usual configuration.

Trudy, your paintings are so lovely! You definitely have to sell them! And why not one day to have exhibition too! I just hate delivery process, it is so expensive, in many cases takes equal to the products price, and takes sooo long time for my country :( .

Jean, great that your condition have improvement! Hope that you'll be able to found some interesting ideas about meal during your recovery, maybe at Pinterest! With sure this is challenging!

Kythe, this pain sounds awful! So sorry! Personally I prefer to shop online instead to waste nerves at circle around the clothes stores. Happy birthday and best wishes to your daughter!

Kay,, one day in hibernation mode sounds good to me! Hope the book to can distract you!

Rae, how nice to meet again old friend! Give much to think about, an flashback now and then. Hope you found nice stuff to use at the craft store!

Huhhh, some strange trouble with my web connection, and I had to go and come for a while, but I didn't want to lose all these I'm already wrote, so made many edits during the personals.
Excuse me for this! But maybe no one saw it, so it's not a big deal  .
Have fun today!

Let's just say that this is a day I will be glad to have done... thought I would do better but the 8th of each month still finds me blue. It has been 14 months since DH passed but I still get teary-eyed and blue especially on the 8th. Think it is going to be another PJ day for me. Plan on hibernating today and read the day away. DD#1 came over for a quick cup of coffee. She said things are going well on DGD's house sale.

The meeting with the investment guy yesterday was an over-view on what I want in the future... so gave him outlines of what he needs to look at and what my goals are for what to do in the future. Will have another meeting to go over suggestions, etc later on. Then will decide what steps I want to take. No point in rushing until I get some feedback/suggestions.

Sorry, no personals today.

Good late morning everyone! I slept in until almost 8am and then Heather and Hunter called and we talked for over an hour. DH is home again today and so when I was done with playing with Hunter I had to get some breakfast for his highness! LOL It's all good though as he is giving me a break from helping with bottling wine and is just going to do it himself! Hooray some time to play on the computer and get the page done that I started yesterday! I really need to get some commenting done in the gallery too. Yesterday I painted again and I really love this one! I am thinking of perhaps covering it with resin instead of a varnish, but I need to learn how to do this properly before attempting it on my paintings. I will post a photo of this latest one once it is dry. The freezer clean up went very well and it was defrosted and all cleaned up spic and span in under 30 minutes! I have to call MIL today to tell her how good it all worked out! So nice to have the freezer all nicely organized now, it looks brand new again LOL.

Chris - How nice to have your hair all done! I bet you look MMMarvelous!! You will be glad to be done with your nephews book and now you can scrap for yourself! No pressure is always so much more fun! Ugh on the cold weather still, we got more snow this morning but it is pretty much all melted now and the temps are supposed to warm up for us this weekend and into next week. Who knows we might even get back to having seasonal temps again?? Last year we were cutting the grass and smelling the cherry blossoms already. What a change this year!! Good luck with cutting back on your caffeine intake, it has always been hard for me to do that!

Nancy - I think we probably scared the neighbours last night we were hooting and hollering so loud when the Bruins scored those 2 goals!! :becky: So happy with the way they are doing! We were relieved to hear that your former Devil did not have a concussion! Hopefully he will be back on the ice soon, but sounds like not for another week at least! Thanks for the nice compliment about my paintings you are very sweet! I hope they sell too! :becky:

Felis - Happy International Day to you too! My DH says everyday is Women's Day!! Ha, Ha I say the same thing about men!! He likes to tease me! That is too bad that the challenges are not good for all of the ideas you have for your pages!! I hope that you will find a way to get a few layouts done anyway! With the birthday celebrations coming up soon hopefully you will be able to get lots of scrapping done! Thank you also for the compliment on my paintings!! I would love to have an exhibition one day, but I need to have many more paintings before that would ever happen. It is a very artsy place that I live in so there are many artist living here! I would have to talk to some of them to see how one goes about having a showing.

Kay - Oh dear, I am so sorry that you are still feeling so blue!! It is totally understandable though! My goodness you spent so many happy years together, that is not something to be taken lightly! Grief is something that everyone goes through differently and I can't imagine what it must be like for you! All I can say is I hope that you will start to feel happier soon and although the pain of loss will never really go away, perhaps it will fade a bit in time

Rae - How fun to meet an old friend at Michaels!! I hope that you and B will get lots of use out of your watercolor pencils! I will have to pick your brain when I get my card making supplies this summer! Gosh between painting, scrapping and soon card making I won't have time for anything else LOL. I hope your day is not too busy and you get to do more scrapping today!

Kythe - Ouch on the pain in your foot!!! I thought the same as Chris when you said you have not been eating well, that it perhaps is gout?? Sure hope it feels better for you soon!

Ok I am opening up photoshop and getting this page done! I hope you all have a wonderful Friday!!
