Did I say I was tapped out yesterday? I should have waited to say that until today :faint2:
Just another day of things weighing on my heart and mind. It was both sad and happy bringing Floyd's things over to the woman I know from the vet. She was so appreciative. And yup, she was teasing me that I am always on her list of potential kitten adopters. She said that I did well with Floyd, which made me happy. It took the sting from the "did I do the right thing?" off a bit.
I am also sad and angry over Elizabeth Warren leaving the pres. race. Notice I do not say that I am surprised, I could have called this last year. America is simply not ready to come to terms with its inherent misogyny. I won't say more about that since I try very hard to keep my political views off of the O, but this is more societal than political, IMHO. But enough of that. :tape:

Caitlyn is concerned about COVID-19. Her college sent out an email alert. One of the people infected in the County attends a school whose basketball (IIRC) team was at the school on Sunday. No direct links but at this point, who knows? I guess we are entering the phase where any possible contact can be an issue? :noidea: She has always been good about washing her hands since she works with little kids and that her mama did too. You can't work in a Preschool and not have the dry, raw hands to prove it, nor have it ingrained in your head too.

I did finally finish the page for one challenge. Not thrilled with it but I kept staring at it, changing one thing, deleting it. I guess it is as good as it is going to get.
I am cleaning for my friend this morning and that is about it. The rats have been really funny so I am going to play with them this afternoon too.
Yesterday, W was watching them intently since being upstairs is still new to the dogs. She was sitting very still but Tat was having *none* of it. She was so busy fluffing up the bedding to cover the spot where W could see her to block the view. It was like an existential question, "If I can't see her, does she truly exist?" Thank god for the rats and dogs or I would be a wreck.

PS: Don't mind me, I am fine. It has just been a rough year. heh!

OMG- I am running so slow this morning, I looked at the time and I should have been off the computer so long ago.
Thank you all for the support with Floyd- and everything else- the last few weeks. I apologized to the family again for being in such a crummy mood. I don't want it to be contagious. I sure can't wash my brain with soap and water like I do my hands :p

Nancy- the sun was nice, but the temps are dropping fast. My crocuses are blooming and they usually don't for another couple of weeks. That is fab that you have a new author to read. PT-ist had me doing cone touches on foam blocks and OMG, my balance is terrible. Hahaha!! But it is good that she has me doing new stuff in each session.

Jean- That is so nice that the bird club recognized the volunteers. How was the art class yesterday?
The rats gave me cuddles and hives but I am not complaining. They are so cute and worth it. I am glad I am not the only one who curses art the computer when it does stupid stuff.

Trudy- hope you did great at the pool!

Rae- Did you get all of the work done that you needed to? What plans do you have this weekend, anything fun?
Ginny is truly an amazing lady. When I get a compliment on pet care from her, it means a *lot.* I don't know how she does it, taking in kittens and cats that she knows will die. But to make their lives happy until the end... she is inspiring.

There is Trudy!
What a nice treat to have coffee with your sister. Bet you had a great time chatting. Yikes, your day was so full of things to do. I am sure that you got it all done.
PT was good, I can tell that I am getting stronger. Re-eval wil be next week and see f I need to add more sessions or not.

Hugs to everyone!

Just popping in for a few minutes. Yesterday was a Lo-o-o-ong day. Moved more clothes, etc out of the guest room closet. Ended up pulling some clothes out of other closets that I haven't worn in several years and packing them up to donate. Got the Red Hat purses and shoes moved to the MB closet. I found a box with framed photos that were Mom's so it is with the photos I am giving to my sister. Gave her a call to let her know I found them. She has a sinus infection so we didn't talk very long. DH's golfing buddy came over early yesterday morning and picked up the last of the golf stuff. I would work for awhile, rest for a bit, then back to working. The body finally quit and said it was time to quit by mid-afternoon. So I rested and read for a few hours. Woke up with the whole body aching so know I have to take at least a day's break from working. The office and garage will just have to wait. I have the Red Hat chapter's lunch here on Tuesday so need to get ready for it on Monday.

Nancy, Tony Hillerman is one of my favorite authors. I have nearly all of his books. I have worn out several AAA Indian Country maps while reading his books. Have been over much of that area and the map makes it easy to remember where it is and what it looks like. If you like Tony's books, you might enjoy Amiee and David Thurlo books.

Chris, it is always a sad and difficult time when you lose a pet. Give yourself time to grieve. <<< hugs >>> Your mention of PT standing on foam and tapping cones brought back memories of Bill doing that. It does help with the balance.

Gotta go... sis is calling. CYL

Good morning ladies. I am getting out into the garden for a few minutes. Then I'll come in for more coffee and get started on desk work. Looking forward to the clock changing tomorrow night so we'll get an extra hour of sunshine in the evening.

Chris - I was thinking the same thing about Ginny. That would be so hard to do, I couldn't do it, I'd be a wreck all the time. I was sad to hear that EW dropped out but not surprised. I don't think the people are ready for a woman (yet). I hope that day comes in my lifetime.

Kay - sounds like you need to rest today, don't push too hard. I can't remember which ones but I've read some of Tony Hillerman.

I'm getting outside for a few minutes to feed the critters and take a few pics. Have a great day everyone.

Yesterday was very nice. Most of our class time we spent hanging work in the hallway. I already had two up and now three more. Another lady from the class matted both drawings and collages and they look great and are also up with work of two others that were already there. Looking lively. Partly we hope it will work as advertising for a new session starting April 2. We need more students. Then as it was mostly sunny and around 50* we went to a nearby park to check out the change now that the lake is mostly drained due to a failing old dam.

Tonight the local art organization's gallery and shop is having the opening of a members' exhibit. I have a piece in that. Every member had the opportunity to submit one piece (up to 40 members) with size limitations. Hope it all looks good, mine included.

I probably won't be around much over the weekend as I'm attending a mixed media collage workshop 10-4 both days. I'm pretty excited for that.

Chris, I too can't imagine how she does it with the cats. But great credit to her. Hope the cleaning went well and your mood withstands the external hits. Good to cuddle with rats!

Kay, sounds like a day to rest for you. That is a lot of work getting done. I can't imagine having someone move in with me if I were alone, but it may be really nice for you and your cousin. It's been a long time since I read the Tony Hillerman books but really liked them. His daughter now writes too.

Rae, you are always so busy and get such a lot done. I too am looking forward to it being light later.

Nancy, I should have mentioned that I'm now taking a Cornell online class. They had a flash sale and I'm trying to do the nature journaling one. The assignment that had me stymied until yesterday was to sit and write/draw for at least 15-20 minutes. Wasn't going to happen in the snow!!!

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

good morning - had an interesting day. My DH went to have his cataract checked and it turns out because they put in a new lens he will see like he never needed glasses his whole life. But if they do that then they have to do the other eye as they it drives the brain crazy to see so differently. He will only need reading glasses like any other person who gets old. Pretty cool. He was home so we had a nice long walk with Luther in the afternoon. Then went out to dinner with my girlfriend and her daughter. The are in the midst of planning her wedding and it is so fun to see what options there are these days. So was a fun dinner. Then my son asked me to pick him up some food. Well it was all meatless - he and his girlfriend are trying to be great role models for her kids and are going meatless on Fridays during Lent. Tonight my Devils play the St Louis Blues and it will be fun to watch but more poor team.

Chris take time to remember Floyd. It must seem weird for the dogs to be where they could not be before. Enjoy the dogs and the rats! And yes will miss EW.

Kay take a rest. Thanks for the recommendations for new books. I too love looking at the maps to know where the stories take place.

Rae I too cant wait for more light at the end of the day. Have a fun on the walk. We are getting rain and it sucks.

Jean that is cool that you are using Cornell too. I will look at that class but if it involves drawing then not for me. LOL. Glad they had your DH stand at the presentation. Have fun at the classes.

Trudy waving. Boston is doing awesome!

Have a great day all!

Hello girls!
My today post goes in unexpected direction, BUT the sad news at the forum these days makes me feels really down. I can't mumble for daily things, when life fail so badly in it's tries to play it casual. I'm glad that you liked the poem, it's the closest thing to pray I know. Had to edit the original, as Dickinson is wanted to present the Death as lover, but words in my language have gender, so Death can't be he, she is lady and I deeply believe in this. Have so much more sense. She is mother, creator and caring. The life is man and her lover. Our existence is play for her entertainment, she create us and she take us back, between this he flatter us and watch over us, just to be sure that she will be satisfied from this spectacle.
It's so hard! I can't find correct words to show my empathy. Chris, Jeannette, Veer, you have my deeply condolences!

Good afternoon everyone!! Yikes, my morning has been crazy!! I was on the phone with SIL Sharon (DH's youngest sister) for over an hour! She ordered some Norwex products from me and I told her to just e-transfer the money to me, she did not have a clue how to do that so I had to walk her through it! Then we got to chatting and on and on we went :blah: LOL This phone call was after my face time chat with Heather and Hunter, so by the time all the talking was done it was close to 11am sheesh!! I still had to run out and find some wrapping paper for the gift and look for a new top to wear to this shindig that we are going to tomorrow. I didn't even have a shower, just slapped on some makeup and out the door I flew. Took so much longer than I wanted, but what else is new?? So home now and stuffing my face with a quick something to eat. I need to hit the shower, because DH phoned and said we are going out tonight to a little gathering to say farewell to one of the female RCMP that he used to work with. She is a great gal and I really like her too. Still need to make an envelope for the card that I made for the anniversary couple and by the time that is done it will be time for us to head out. So I thought I best get in here and say my hello's and wish everyone a great weekend! I will not be here at all tomorrow and should be home sometime in the afternoon on Sunday!
