Can I please just check out for the day/week/month?
I need to wrap myself in my blanket like a cocoon and hide from life for a bit. I woke up not feeling so hot, and was planning on telling Caitlyn that I wasn't going to be able to pick her up from school and run some errands, only to find her in the bathroom, on the floor, wrapped in her blanket. She was up throwing up again last night/morning.
I am at my wits end.

Can't deal...

I have gotten two more letters from her school re: her attendance but I can't open them up. They are .cfm files? I emailed Guidance to send me hard copies but I know that they are requesting a hearing. :frusty:

Her LLMD said that if her stomach continues to bother her, that she should see a GI dr to make sure nothing more is going on. But in the mess of our health care, I am going to first have to get her in to the GP (her NP left the group :( ) get referrals, and find a GI in her plan that is hopefully not in one of the inner cities. She has State Health Insurance since we are low income, and not many drs want to be in the plan. so any specialists are typically found in the low income heavy areas.

The irony of that deal is that I would gladly put her on my health insurance plan, which is a much better plan, but b/c she is eligible for Medicaid, she isn't eligible for the ACA plan that Scott and I have.

I don't know what to do, how to help her, I feel horrible myself... and I cannot cope.

I wish I could say something funny or do something to make myself laugh but I feel way past that point.

Sorry for using all of you as my therapist but I feel like I have no one else to "talk" too. Lucky you ;)

Have a wonderful day!

Kat- it doesn't sound crazy at all- I need to get up and get coffee into me while the house is quiet too. My brain doesn't function well un-caffienated and i am cranky in the mornings too.
Running joke in my house is that years ago, I woke up after Gary who tried to give me a hug and I bit his head off saying "DON'T HUG ME! They still make fun of me for that. Although (maybe TMI?) There is another running joke about me that was brought up last night about the time I farted at the dinner table. This must have happened in 2003 because the kids thought it was hysterical to tell the construction workers about it when we had the addition put on that year. "Remember that time Mom farted at the dinner table??"

So they still tease me about that, and for some reason it came up (again!) last night and I asked them to please NOT put that on my tombstone. Which led to them making up rhymes based on that. Let me tell you there are a lot of words that rhyme with fart.

Sounds like the new girl is working out, yay!!!!!

Nancy- That is awesome about making your first LO with PS!!! And woot for fast computers! Yesterday was so cold too and we did get a dusting of snow up here. Hope it warms up down by you too so you canget some good walks in with Luther. Scott took J out for a walk the day before yesterday and brought the 2 out back yesterday. They need that as much as people do I think, at this time of year.

Kat- Oh yeah, my dad is a tease and my mom doesn't get it, and gets mad at him when he is just being a goof.
I see my LLMD on the 14th, and I cannot wait.
The "Quick" History of my Lyme TX:
I was put on IV claforan in Feb 2014 (PICC Line #1) before my lumpectomy. I was having some rough symptoms and LLMD wanted to keep me as stable as possible during surgery/radiation. By Sept 2014, i was back to where I was before surgery. and had plateaued on the IV. Had that line pulled and continues with oral abx and supplements.
By Dec 2014 I had bottomed out and had my hysterectomy scheduled for Jan 2015, so I have PICC #2 put in. IV Vancomycin. That kept me stable but no improvement, was switched to IV Rocephin, which flipped out my liver. Took a break from IV abx, slowly restarted a lower dose of Roc., liver was good, and started the crazy Pulse Abx Therapy I am on now. Small break of that in Aug when Line #2 got infected and had to have Line #3 put in. But have been doing the Roc/Biaxin/Tindamax/Bactrim combo since Late Aug. with pretty decent results. I am starting to have more decent days than not. I don't expect that I will ever feel 100% again, but I can handle decent.

If she pulls this line, I will stay on oral abx and see how I do. I am absolutely terrified of relapsing like I did last year which is a big reason Gary is really pushing me to not go back to work. He saw how fast and hard I crashed last time. If I relapse I don't know if my mind or body can cope with another line.
So I don't know-- it is weighing on me. :noidea:

Aren't you glad that you asked???? And to think-- this^^^ is the short version! hahahah!!!

Rae- It is fantastic that you have the option to have Taz drop in to day care as needed but I am sure that he loves going on walks with you and Ava too. Good luck at the vet's. I totally get the "I wish they could talk" bit too. The other day, Jaida was having a rough time with her knee- must have slipped out when she was scratching her ear, and I looks so painful. But once she is able to get in back in place, she runs and jumps like it never happened.
Hope it is an easy fix for him.

I don't mind bugs- Scott is/was a bug fanatic as a little kid, Cait calls the her friends. I don't like anything with lots and lots of legs however.

Trudy- welcome back hOme!!!! How sweet of YMG to have flowers and dinner for you! You deserve to be spoiled. It must have been so hard to say good bye to the grands.Thank goodness for Skype! But it not the same :(
Hope that you are all rested up today.

hahah! You and Rae- already back to cross posting! LOL

Jean- I am shocked! All of that internet/computer work and only a few issues? Hope that they all get figured out quickly. No idea what a grackle is, but I am glad that they are a sign of spring and I hope that we have some here too :)

xoxo

good morning! I love my new computer and PS CC but it turns out that Lightroom does not yet support the new Photos that Apple is now using instead of iPhoto. So at this point I am just going on with out Lightroom and hope at some point this is fixed. It is snowing here and I think we have had about an inch and it is not sticking to the road or sidewalks. But I will love walking Luther in this as it is probably the last snow. My DH took him to the woods this am and they chased the deer. Too funny. My Devils defeated the Nashville Predators 5-4 in OT. Adam Henrique scored the game tying with 30 secs left in the game and the winning goal in OT. It was so exciting! Tonight they play the Dallas Stars and it will be hard to win in back to back games but I am still hoping!

Chris so sorry you and Cait are not feeling well. Maybe the winter break coming up will give Cait a chance to heal! And the weather can only get better so that is good!

Kat I bet you are so looking forward to your vacation.

Rae it is so nice to have options for your dog. She gets her daycare and she get a new walking mate!

Trudy welcome home! It must be nice to sleep in your own bed. I bet you do miss the grands!

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... Wind warnings for us today, oh goodie we will have more branches and pinecones to pick up all over the back yard!! :mmph: Well what will be, will be as my Mother used to say. Today I really need to scrap a page for my up coming challenge and perhaps get some other pages done also. I have been feeling so lazy since I got home, maybe its that empty nest syndrome all over again
oh-smiley.gif

Chris - We are here for you girlfriend!! You rant away, we are your shoulder to cry on! You have to listen to us too now don't you? I wish I could offer some wise advice, but perhaps it would be best if you took Cait to a GI specialist and get that out of the way once and for all!! Perhaps you could ask the school if they could recommend someone for you that is covered by your crazy healthcare. I know it must be so frustrating for you to have to continually deal with all of this. I am sending you tons of gentle hugs, but don't take them until you have had your morning coffee I wouldn't want my head bit off :becky: Your kids are great at making you laugh and the story about your farting at the table is just too funny!!! How could they not tease you about that??? :pound: I hope that this day ends better than it has started out for you my friend!!

Nancy - So fun to have your new computer and sounds like you are enjoying the new Photoshop!! Do you think your Lightroom might import your iPhone photos if you transfer them to a file in your documents or somewhere other than iPhotos? I have had to do that with my version of Lightroom. I have Lightroom 5 and I love it!! Your Devils are making you very happy!! Hooray!! The Bruins actually won a game at home last night, that must have made their fans very Happy!! I know we were pleased with they way they played! Have fun walking in your hopefully last snowfall of the year!! Luther is a lucky dog with two people to walk with him!! I will miss my walks with Storm, but not the cold weather that we had to walk in. She was not bothered by the cold at all and would bury her head deep into the snow to sniff at something or other under there, she always made me laugh!

Rae - good morning to you, I am sure we will cross post again as we seem to have the same schedule in the mornings LOL. I hope that you don't have too big of a work load today and that Taz's visit to the Vet gets to the bottom of his licking problem (no pun intended)

Jean - So glad for you that your transfer to a new computer and new modem went without a hitch!! Yes you will have to get ready for the big Party coming up for the "O" Can you believe its been 10 years already since Vicki first opened the shop?

Kat - I bet you are getting excited to get going and hope that your are all packed and ready!! The thought of lying on the beach in Hawaii makes me so jealous!! Enjoy every moment!!

Ok I am in need of another cup of coffee and a little something to eat

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday!!

Good morning, ladies. Got the vet appt this afternoon for Taz so hopefully they get him sorted out. Today should be a good day, lots going on but nothing too hectic. My work schedule should be fairly light so I can watch a few shows on my laptop later and scrap a bit. My hubs brought leftover Chinese noodles from his lunch yesterday so that'll be dinner tonight with some honey garlic chicken (our local meat store has them on sale this wkend for $2 each so I'll stock up and freeze them). Next door is the produce market so I can stock up on greens/veggies/fruit for the week and make a big salad to go with our dinner. I'll relax tonight and then spend time over the wkend looking for tax papers (remind me to be more organized after all this mess for next year).

Chris - big hugs. Good thing you guys are such a close knit family, you need each other. I hope today is a better day for you and Cait.

Trudy - good morning, guess I beat her here to post :)

Nancy - I can only imagine the fun Luther had when chasing the deer. We get coyotes here and they love to come out behind our fence and howl at night. I wish we had deer rather than coyotes. We all have to watch our pets so they don't get attacked. We have deer out at our trailer in WA. They don't run away from us but just stare at us. They come out of the bush and walk across one guy's porch to go off the other end into his yard. It scared the hell out of me the first time I came upon them tromping across the porch. Taz got all excited, wanting to play with them.

Kat - I bet you're getting antsy to get going on your trip. Bet it will be heavenly.

I'm looking forward to doing a challenge later and relaxing. Have a great day, everyone!

Last night they covered our world in white! But I keep looking at Monday's forecast high in the 50s. Love having the computers working and Internet too. Amazing how much we rely on it. DH is dealing with prolonged and painful sciatic nerve pain. Yesterday he got a shot we hope will help. I'm taking him to therapy again this afternoon. I also have a story about the unraveling of our health care program, but that's for another day.

See, Chris, we make you listen to us too. I am so sorry you and Cait were both needing a cocoon at the same time. Sending good thoughts for both of you for today! But first, :cofbath: for you.

Nancy, hope your snow goes quickly and you have good walks. Yeah for your Devils. I'm enjoying the start of spring training.

Trudy, good luck with the wind today. Hope your trees don't shed much.

Rae, good luck with Taz's vet appt. Hope it's a good day for both of you.
