TGIF. Seriously.
Not that i did all that much this week, but this cold is knocking me on my butt. I ended up caving into my temptation yesterday. Not the whole bottle of Nyquil part but I did take some cough medicine and called in sick to my MIL. I was hoping to get over there today so I wouldn't miss a day's pay, but she isn't going to be home so she said for me to take this week off and to get better.
I am still feeling cruddy and, today but hopefully I can get more motivated and do something today.

Poor Scott isn't feeling good either- but he is herxing, so that's good. But he doesn't think he can get through school- not sure if I should keep him home or make him try to get in and see how he does.

I am losing posts left and right today. I keep hitting the back button on my pen by accident.

Finish it Friday- I have to label the new soy wax tarts I made 2 weeks ago- Hyacinth and Beach scented. Smell so good, but they need the labels so I can put them away.

xoxo

Good morning Laurie!
I can't imagine the mess and stress of the basement. I hope that it is all dried out and repaired soon.

nana- oh no :( Family disasters are never good, even less with having to worry about 6 kids. were you able to get it all worked out?

Clara- sounds like you have a great day yesterday!

Kristy- thats rough...... but I know how you feel. When my kids were younger and before Gary got sick, it was the same- he got to do the fun stuff and mom had to stay home.

Lauire- LOL- sounds like a perfect scrap page!

Katrina- welcome back! Hope that the spine doctor has good solutions for you. Good luck finding a new horse, that must be very exciting.
Yes, i think we all go through that stage where we either don't scrap or hate everything we do scrap. BTDT many times. I find that scrap lifting someone I admire or doing some challenges help a lot. Checkout the new Monthly Challenges here for some great ideas!

Laurie- great news about the desktop- sigh of relief!

Meg- good luck with your computer issues too.

Trudy- good to see that YMG was able to do something to make you feel slightly better. Hope that your family made it back safe and sound.

Sally- pace yourself my dear!!! Enjoy your day off today. Civil war Movie suggestion-- Gone with the Wind! *happy sighs* Love that movie!

Kayleigh- yay for sleep! Makes you feel like a new woman, right?? Have fun on your walk!!!

Gotta run! Smooches!!

Wow- great post Chris, is your kitty missing?? Seriously, I am so overwhelmed right now. The adjuster came, and worked to get us all the money our policy allowed a percentage of what the house is insured for. The good news, he did it. The not so good news- out of that will come the money to pay for what is being done to dry out the basement- he figures we should plan on paying $4000 for that- WOW- when you see it for real- it is huge, but necessary.

Now we have money to finish ripping the paneling down, to put new walls back up and paint and to do something with the floor. Given our busy schedules that should be interesting!

I discovered my wedding dress that was preserved and sealed and wrapped in plastic was setting so that the water got in the bottom plastic end, two small spots. Noticed some lace was missing- wonder if I wore the dress that way, have to go look at my pictures. Well can't tell. I have to decide if I want to have it re-preserved or do something with it. I will have to post photos of it, because it is stuffed to hold it's shape and it looks like a headless bride sitting in my kitchen rocker!! Find the Joy, Find the Joy (have to scrap- so can't wait for scrap therapy to take place) Maybe I can have it taken apart and have it used to make a baptism gown someday- not that I have a grand kid, but it could be neat, or wedding keepsake for future bride for my son's, or a special quilt.

On the more good news front- a co-worker who had a D&C on presidents day to remove a tumor that mimiced pregnancy- had a baby boy Wed night. Yeah for real. The other co-worker you have been praying had a better dr visit and will get stiched so early delivery is decreased. Please keep praying she has till Sept to go. For the pt to tolerate chicken without response- it worked.

Now we are scheduled to get more rain today and tomorrow- yikes-

I have discovered that i have more boxes of papers I will sort through some day than I care to acknowledge. Now is the time. I am estimating that I may be ready to part with it. Such a mental challenge the clutter. I can do this. I am starting in my kitchen yes I have a pile- by the end of the weekend, it will be gone- keep me honest girls!!

Good morning!! I like these days where I have stuff going on. It is really getting me out of that funk I was in...BUT this morning while I was asleep Derek asks me if I minded him taking the truck since it was below freezing and I of course said sure. When I'm asleep, I'll agree to anything. So, when I woke up I had a flash of that conversation and flipped...Addie and I have a day planned. Children's museum and ice cream.

Yesterday was a good day. My morning started out awesome with a fabulous email from Sally asking if I'd like to sport a little extra bling here at the O. How could I not be psyched about that? Then we went to Chick-fil-A...which Trudy is one of the greatest fast food places. They only sell fried chicken nuggets and patties and their whole sales plan is a bunch of cows saying "Eat More Chiken." It is funny. Yummy!! The batter they use is great balance of salty and a tad bit sweet. Mmmmm-mmm!! And awesome sweet tea. But I like it there because they keep it clean and always have these older ladies walk around straightening and offering to fill up your sodas and stuff and they have a decent play place for kids that is a nice difference from McD's, which I hate. My kids know better than to ask to go to McD's and make comments about it all the time. Whah!! And then Addie and I hung out at the park for a bit.

We did have some sad news though...my mom had to put our little weiner dog to sleep. She was sad about that...but then I had to listen to her rant about my dad and how horrible he is about grief, for the zillionth time...but I listened anyway. And she also let me know that my grandma was at the hospital because she hadn't been feeling well and went to the ER and while she was there had a heart attack...a mild one. So they ran her off to the OR and put in a stent. But said everything from her quad bypass looked great and that she should be good to go. So, she's okay. Yay!!

Then last night we had a pinewood derby clinic at the dinig room table. Ethan and Derek had fun with that. But now for all the crap Derek wanted to talk about the Royal Rangers at church...he is sure preferring their derby cars to the BSA cars right now. LOL!! But Ethan's car is pretty groovy. Derek even found someone to cover for him on Saturday when he has Army stuff so that he can go to the derby. Yay!!!

So, I'd better start getting ready for our museum day. We are just going to go check things out today once Derek shows back up with the car. I got us a family membership there on Groupon for a whole $10!! I'm loving groupon and kick myself when I don't buy some stuff. LOL!!

Chris - Poor Scott. Does he realize the crappy means he'll be getting better? I know it is hard to see the big picture as a teenager. I hope you get better too. Take your garlic and get some rest. I told a friend of mine to take garlic the other day because of you. :)

Laurie - I think you should wear your wedding dress around the house just for fun. LOL!! Sounds like you have lots of great wedding dress ideas for it. Ugh...paperwork sorting. Time to purge. That is one great thing about the military moving. I have finally started letting go of things that I help on to for so long when I finally realized I could care less about them I just held on to them for so long I didn't know how to throw them out...so I just did it. That is great news about your friends.

To everyone else today...I'll try to come back but if not...Have a fantastic day!!

HI ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I appreciate all your prayers and concern!!! I think Traci situation is under control for the moment!!!

I was fortunate enough to have a neighbor that used to babysit and she agreed to watch the kids for a couple of hours (all my Moms were good with this)....

As for these kids.....Savannah is 18 mos, Connor is 2 1/2, then the other three are 2, 3, 5......and then Cameran is in school until 2....and he is 7.....ANYONE WANT MY JOB??? IT'S ONLY FOR ONE MORE WEEK MAYBE TWO!!! I will be repeating this all weekend!! :pound: I really don't mind helping out, because when someone is in need that is just me...and I would hope that I can get the same one day (like yesterday..thank god for my neighbor). The biggest thing is these three kids are not used to me and our routine (I AM BIG ABOUT ROUTINES for children).

Laurie...I am so sorry about your basement!! I KNOW THIS IS A PAIN..we went through this one time....we had a horrible rain from one of the hurricanes that made land and came this far inland....it rained 12" in 8 hours and it was just too much....we got some FEMA help....it wasnt much but it was enough to pay for clean up and floor replacement. Obviously insurance didn't pay anything.

Chris...sweetie I hope you feel better!!!! Have you tried Zyrtec...I have been taking that everyday and it dried me up and and I sleep well too!!!
((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) and give Scott some (((((((HUGS)))))))))) from Nana too...poor boy!!! I hope this passes quickly!!!!

Chris...how did you not go crazy!?!? i feel like im seriously loosing my mind cause ALL I DO IS STAY HOME...lol i dont work...haven't worked in like 10 years.....my 10yr old i swear is PMSing....ugh....and she is JUST LIKE ME...and i can't handle it...im loosing it....i fear i'll be in a white room before the month is over *sigh*

ohh well i need to make an LO today calm my nerves...i got some cute pics of the girls yesterday outside playing...so....yeah i need to do one

Morning everyone... have to work again today, they asked me to pick up another shift today, was supposed have today off. That's ok its only until 3:00pm then I have three days off. Saturday I am going back to the dentist, another 2hr trip for a 5min visit :frusty: hopefully the weather will be sunny and I can get some pics.

Chris - I hope you and your son both feel better! Darn colds, they seem to take so long to leave us this time of year!! Your poor Scott!! I really feel for him, but lets keep our fingers crossed that this will put him on the road to better health!!

Laurie - Wow sounds like you have a daunting task ahead of you. Wish I could come and help you purge, I have no problem throwing out stuff that I have no use for anymore. My MIL has a real problem with keeping everything and I keep offering to help her go through it, it physically makes her sick to even think about it. We have our hands full with her!!! She is on the border of being a full blown hoarder, not so much in her house, but in the huge garage that they have behind the house. You can hardly get around in it and it was designed to hold two buses that my FIL used to have. Yikes!!!!
oh BTW, my MIL is a seamstress and she makes old wedding dresses into new wedding dresses for large dolls, they turn out beautiful and she made on for my granddaughter Sadie. She has a hard time finding the large dolls though.

Clara - Sure hope you have a wonderful time with your daughter today, I miss doing things with the kids!! I started to salivate when you were talking about your chicken place!! Sounds yummo!! I hate McD's too!! Yuk! Sorry about your little dog having to be put down, its always hard to do that dirty deed!! Hope your mom is over her grieving soon! You are a good daughter for listening to her! Glad your Grandma is going to be ok! Its always a big worry!!!

Nana Linda - Happy to hear that things with Traci are under control for now! It must be such a worry for you! How wonderful that a neighbor could help you out! My wish for you is that all the wonderful things that you do for others will come back to you threefold!! You are such a caring person and you deserve all the goodness that the Universe can share with you! Think good Karma!! LOL

Kristi - to you, keep the faith my dear, things will get better! Make sure you spend sometime with just you! Enjoy a nice hot bubble bath and spend some time with your scrapping, its great therapy!!

To all others who pass this way, I hope your Friday is wonderful

I was just about to do personals and my post but I just heard Jeff pull up.

so in the meantime.... because we all need it....

hugs all around!!!!

Afternoon ladies!!

My mom stole my daughter today. Mario and I are sitting here like lost puppies. We don't know what to do without her =/

I went to the doctor for my 6 week post natal check up. Apparently my insurance just started covering Mirena 100% so I have an appointment set up to go get that done. I'm super excited, I was planning on getting it and just paying for it right before I found out I was pregnant. So now I'm content with knowing I have 5 years before I have to worry about another baby.

Good news is I got my laptop back already! I got teased quite a bit though. The guy replaced the entire monitor (it's now lime green instead of black! yay!), 7 missing screws from the bottom, replaced the disc drive, and took it apart and cleaned it (it was bad enough that he saved the dust build up that was inside to show me! lol). It's like having a new computer!!!! So since I'm all caught up in making things like new I transferred all of my stuff to my EX HD and I'm going to reformat my laptop. Make it feel like new again! =]

I'm off to go reformat my computer. I will spend some quality time in the gallery later to try and make my goal!

Hope everyone has a fantastic day! <3

Hey girlies...I'm just hangin out here in the princess palatial palace watching all of our dvred shows.

Apparently I've not only overdone it ( you guys know how I get when I take on too much!), but I've abused my body way too much with caffeine for way too long now. Irregular heart beating for two days straight now. The dr said it wasn't terminal...LOL...but it sure is annoying! So I'm going to go a week and see if just cutting out chocolate, coffee, and cokes does the trick (is life worth living without all that? Just Kidding!!!!! ) if I still have an issue with this goofy heart skipping, then he'll put me on a beta blocker...ugh.

That's my drama for today! Now to slow down again...and I thought I was doing really well!

Hugs everyone! Love you all!

Oh Sally girl don't scare us like that :scared: we need you around, so you take better care of yourself please!!!!
