For not doing a darn thing this week, it sure flew by quickly. My back is still in bad shape and it is really frustrating me. I reached down to put some socks on this more and *@#$#@* - I could feel the twinge starting but I still had to get upright again. Last night, I was hoping that I could scoop the lawn and maybe clear some of the leaves off of my lilies and irises today. Gary was practically begging me to not do that and I see he is right. (mark today in history that I admitted he was right )
It was fabulous to open the windows yesterday and get some fresh air in the house. Darn, I really want to be outside. I can't even sit out there, everything is filthy.
Besides wishing I was in the yard, I didn't do much else of anything. I wasn't in a bad mood just in brain-shutdown mode. I guess will be in the same situation again today. Nothing really that I can do. I feel too good to spend the day lounging around but at the same time, not good enough to do what I want to do. [gaah smilie rolling pin smilie]
@scrap-genie Thanks for the link about the redpolls- I learned a new phrase- Irruptive migrant. We have the same weather forecast today, warm but lots of wind. I blocked the projects and will get a few pictures today. It is very obvious that I lost stitches along the way but it is fine, cats can't count. They probably can but they won't let us know!
@taxed4ever woooohoooooo on the oven repair!! What are you going to cook in there first? Why in the world would anyone make fun of Mason for losing his teeth, don't they realize it happens to everyone? of course they don't, it isn't how kids' brains work. Live only in the moment, right? I bet he looks adorable! Since my yard is so shady, hostas seem to do well. the ones that Scott put in for me a few years ago have already been split twice and I had to move another last year since it was getting crowded out. I haven't been back there yet to see if they all made it through the winter but I am optimistic that they did.
@bcgal00 I am thrilled to hear about Remi and all of that energy- it has to be a great sign that she is on the mend. She must be a piece of work! Has she figured out that giving that "puppy look" will melt your heart yet especially if she did something wrong?
@Cherylndesigns I wish I could send you wifi help. Would a booster help? I can't remember what exactly we have, but we have boosters in our house since we had a bunch of dead spots. I read that in the American Recovery Plan there is money for improving broadband access in rural areas so perhaps that will (eventually) help.
Hope that your back feels 100% soon.
@felis- Gald you had a satisfying day, hoping you continue to have them!
I will have to look more into the no-digging gardens. We have a compost pile that will get restarted now that the weather is better. Over the winter I don't compost, too much work to get out back.
HAGD!!!!!!!!!!
