Yup, stick a fork in me. I am done. LOL!!!
I had a crummy day again, so stressful. My mom called me mid-morning and I honestly am not sure what happened at the Dr appt, but she gave me a non-update and said the Dr requested to speak to me. I was to call him at 4 pm.
Long story short- she needs to have two procedures- a pacemaker/defibrillator as well as a Mitral Valve Clip to fix a leaky valve. He is the pacemaker dude. I guess she didn't realize that she had the option to do either one first. I don't know if she thought the valve surgery was really necessary. That threw her for a loop and the Dr seemed frustrated by her when I spoke to him (finally) at 7:30. I get that- but sheesh, she really does have a complicated health history. Cut some slack :/

In between all of that mess, I was cooking dinner. It is such an amazing recipe but it ends up taking all day to do it. Cook and dice the chicken/make the pie crust/make the filling/roll the pice crust/assemble and bake/eat it 5 minutes b/c it is so yummy :)

I am really pooped out today, the bags under my eyes look like giant Hefty bags and about that dark too. I have to run down to the the dr to pick up my contact lenses, then Cait and I are going to see what is up with her taxes. The fun never ends. heheh

Good things for today ( just so ya know I am not 100% gloom and doom)
- sunny and warmish
- making breakfast for dinner
- the Color Plays are out today!!!

love and hugs!!

@BrightEyes How did the surgery go, is Chari holding her own with the pain levels?
very smart of you to go home and be comfier while you wait. Waiting in hospitals -- time just draaaaaags. 10 minutes in a hospital feels like 5 hours, right? ;)

@LSlycord that is really exciting to have so many old photos to go through. Can you identify most of the people? That is my biggest issue with the pictures/negatives that I have gotten hold of. I don't know who the people are. I need to ask my parents before it is too late.
Are you happy it is Friday??

@taxed4ever Other than the bits of rain, the hikes sound incredible. Did you end up going out again yesterday with your friend?
So funny-- it feels like you *just* got your hair cut and colored, I guess you go every month? I am lucky if I get mine done every 4-5 months. Last time was in November and I want to wait until mid-April so it will be good for the May and June events - lots of them this year.
heck, no worries- *I* don't like rambling inside my own brain when it is like this :eek:o_O
I hope that you can be together again with your kids this summer too

@Lynn Grieveson Comfort food baking was the key to my day. I had planned on making brownies too but bailed on that after I spent so much time unexpectedly researching Mirtal Valve clips LOL
It sounds like the photoshoot was a lot of fun! Good luck with selling the cottage quickly. Is the market as hot by you as it is here? *fingers and toes crossed*

@Cherylndesigns That is, in fact, NOT my brain. It has well-defined edges and I am pretty sure that mine is a bit more "blob-like." But thanks for looking! :D
I am sooooo relieved that we live so far away. My first reaction to Stormy's kitty news is that I want one. That might be the only reason I am relieved but it's probably a good thing for now. ITA with you-- crate training is really important and she is young enough to "get it." W still hangs out in her crate when we have dinner or she wants to space.

@tanteva You have Hefty Bags under your eyes too? Hope you have a more restful day today

Hugs!

A real quick in and out... Chari's surgery went fine. She ended up feeling good enough to spend most of the day in a recliner in the family room with her leg propped up. Boy, did our training/trial run using the knee scooter come in handy. She is doing very well getting around on it!! The nerve block kept her pain free all day. Will see how she does today when she is on pain meds. I found a small wooden tray I had forgotten about that we are using for her meals as she sits/lays in the recliner. So glad that I am able to have her here during her recovery. Have to run as it is time to wake her up and give her the pain meds. CYL

Hi everyone. Just a quick hello. We are down to the last 5 days here and then we go to a hotel for a few nights as the movers take everything out and then the cleaners come in. We signed all the legal documents yesterday so on Monday the money will be in the bank and we'll be millionaires for a day ha ha....then the next day we pay for the new home so not millionaires anymore. Ordered the rug for the living room yesterday so another purchase checked off our list. We are hoping to get almost all the packing done by Sunday night so that Monday we can run errands and I'll take the dogs to the park one last time, then on Tues we'll get things sorted as to what gets packed into each vehicle. I'm bringing photography/computer stuff and clothes and I might have all three dogs in the back if we need to pack more into Jen's vehicle which is easier if Bella isn't in there.

Still lots to do but things are progressing smoothly. I miss scrapping and will be happy to get back to it in April. I will have access to Jen's photos of Bailey when she was younger. They are terrible quality but the memories will be wonderful to scrap.

@faerywings Your poor mom, I'm sure she is worried and confused about it all. I believe that both procedures are relatively easy and quick to recover. The defibrillator shock, if ever needed, is a bit painful when it kicks in but it does save lives so that is a trade-off worth it IMO. Hope you feel better today. Sounds like you need some garden therapy. As for hefty bag eyes...yep, I have them too. All this physical activity is wearing me out.

@BrightEyes Glad to hear your daughter is doing well. I hope the pain remains manageable as she recovers.

I'm getting another coffee and getting back to packing. Have a good day everyone.

Morning O-zies! Well my day blew up in smoke yesterday! Good thing I did not call my friend to go on a hike! One of the units at the bottom of our sub-division came up for sale (this rarely happens). It is in a gated complex and has strata so there is no maintenance to be done, beautiful lake view properties. So I called MIL and FIL to see if they would be interested in it. I was shocked when they said they were calling the real estate agency and would be down there in the morning to take a look at it. Really?? Who are these people LOL. They asked if I would go with them and of course I said you bet!! So I met the lady at the time she had scheduled and told her that FIL& MIL were running a bit late. She felt terrible to have to tell me that the place had already been sold!!! Are you kidding me??? I guess a "Bully" offer came in the night before and they accepted the offer, so the place wasn't even on the market for a full 24 hours! OMG we were so disappointed! It would have been so perfect for my In-laws, we are right around the corner and up the hill from this place and we could have been there to help them out whenever they needed and not have to drive 45 mins to get to them. Darn it!! Oh well we had a nice chat with the real estate lady and then had a coffee at our place. Poor MIL and FIL were pooped by the time they left. What a disappointment! So now my morning was gone and DH was home for lunch, then off to the hairdresser. Sheesh the day flew by! No scrapping, no commenting got done. So I really hope to get that accomplished today! Tomorrow will be busy with grocery shopping and errands with my DH.

@faerywings - Chris Yup I feel like I am done too!! Stick a fork in me!! Now the real estate woman is e-mailing me all kinds of new listing and I have to decide if I should send them along to the In-Laws Uggh! Sorry you had a stressful day yesterday! It's no fun to have to deal with the doctors and yes he should cut your Mom some slack!! She must be very confused and scared! I know that whenever MIL or FIL go to see their dr. they have SIL Linda tag along with them. They just don't listen to what the dr. has to say or they don't remember all the info, so its good to have the extra ears and eyes!! Yes hooray the Colour Plays are in the shop!! They are always so beautiful!

@BrightEyes - So glad to hear that your DD is doing well after her surgery! She is lucky to have such a great nurse to help her recover!! You are the Mom of the Year!! Hope the pain meds keep the pain at bay!

@bcgal00 - OMG only 5 days left?? The house must be looking so empty now! Well millionaires for the day is pretty cool, not many can say that LOL. Sounds like everything is falling into place! I bet the dogs are wondering what the heck is going on!! Hope that the move into the new place goes smoothly for you and that you are back to scrapping again soon!

Well I have been talking with Heather and then with FIL again about a new listing that came up today. God give me strength LOL. Have a good day everyone!

Afternoon, girls.

Chris @faerywings LOL about that not being your brain - it was too well-defined. Well, I tried looking - BWAHAHA

Your poor mom - I HATE doctors and would have probably had the same reaction. My BP is always up when I go and our dr is probably the nicest dr in the world - it doesn't matter. Hope you can get this all sorted out. Sorry your dinner was a pita. Yes, girl, you would definitely want one of Stormy's kittens. Lucky you don't live close.

Kay @BrightEyes I'm so glad to hear that Chari's surgery went well and that your preparations paid off.

I probably won't be back on here for awhile - I'm puppysitting and will be BUSY. I posted pics(on FB) of the animal shenanigans in the backyard yesterday. They're pretty cute. I told Ava to bring her crate LOL. Maybe I can put her in there for a nap and I'm planning to let her run and play outside with Daisy. Whew! I don't know if I'm ready for this or not. Haven't had a puppy underfoot for a long time. Chuck said he was going to get some rags out. Hahaha

Talk later and wish us luck with Ellie B.
