The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
March is still comin' in like a lion, it is very cold and windy this morning. I couldn't get warm yesterday and spent most of the day wearing my comfy.
I think I wasted more time than I can count in total.
I spent so much time looking at my bird app since the notifications were dinging nonstop. No "new" birds arriving yet but lots and lots of activity.
I worked on two more lessons and I hope that the weather will cooperate with the weeks I do spring ephemerals and vernal pools. I think I have the timing right for each but it's hard not being on-site to check the progress. One of my coworkers texted yesterday to see how I was feeling. She is covering for me on the HS Pod Field trip today. She is a retired Elem. teacher and she will be awesome.

I'm still doing chair yoga a few times a week and that at least keeps me a little more mentally balanced. I am allllll over the place with my physical balance. :giggle4: It's going to feel so weird when I am in regular shoes again.

We are going to Scott's for a quick visit since Caitlyn is off today. He invited everyone down before he leaves for work. Then it will be back here, a quick lunch, and then off to the ortho appt. Please let me get good news :prettyplease:

Have a wonderful day!

@BrightEyes I hope the weather is warmer today for you and no snow. I know I don't want to see it here and I am very sure you feel the same.

@taxed4ever Hope you are feeling better after your home treatments. What is a whoosh machine?
I might want to send him back to work after these 5 days off.
hahaha!!
Nope it’s time for us to start this new chapter in our lives and spend some good times with just the two of us.
Don't speak too soon, you might change your mind! :lol23:
I survived yesterday. It was super hard. Not the working part but the siting part. I was a good girl and did as the warden asked. I sat. I even took photos and my son backed me up :floorlaugh: It was so hard to sit. I helped for about half hour, then sat for an hour and then helped half hour, etc. I did good. Then when we served dinner, I didn't lift anything!, I was on my feet for 90 minutes. Other then the darn compression sliding down and bunching up at my knees it was okay. I didn't hurt or feel bad. I didn't feel as bad as I expected to even with sitting. I can feel the ache today but its a normal ache that I feel every Thursday.
That is fantastic! I am proud of you, and you know I'd be :rollingpin1: at you if you didn't behave.
That you only felt the "normal ache" is such a good sign too. Yay!!
That's funny that your kids don't like onions, I love onions and garlic but carrots--- Yuck.

@Terri M have a "good" time in FL, so glad you got here uneventfully.
It always bothers me how tired I get from traveling. For heavens sake, I've been sitting in one chair or another for 5 or 6 hours, why should that be tiring?
Scott said the same thing. I think it is having to be "on" for so long. He said that he didn't feel relaxed until they were in FILs car on the way home.

@mimes1 I am so happy for you getting a team to help you on Wednesdays. And do not feel guilty! (Why is it that women notoriously feel guilty about accepting help?)
I hope that Mark's blood sugar levels stabilize. Gary's has been running high- in the 200s-- for the last few weeks and that makes him feel awful on top of the regular awful.

:waving1 to everyone who stops by!

Morning, O's... Had a good night's sleep - that could be because I crawled into a freshly changed bed with smooth sheets that smelled so good! :beatingheart: Yes, I even got the other sheets washed, dried and put away yesterday afternoon. ;) While those were in washing, I tuned in Peacock and watched over half of the 100 Years of the Grand Old Opry (it was over 3 hours long). I loved seeing Reba dedicate the songs to Randy Travis. I had not realized he had been so sick. What a moment that was,

I did get to the library and Post Office and the Used Book/DVD store but forgot to go to the bank. That is on my list of "to do" things. After supper, I decided to watch one of the DVDs. Started it and decided after 30 minutes that was a bit too eerie to watch. When I put a different DVD in... it started but stalled on select set-up!!! Tried another 2 DVDs and same thing happened!!! That's when I realized that the DVD player had a major problem. Given that hubby bought it in the 1990's - I am surprised that it lasted this long!!! :floorlaugh: We have 2 other DVD/VHS players that are about the same age (haven't used them in a few years) so not sure it is worth the effort to move them into the family room TV setup. Did some research on-line and will be buying a new DVD player. Thank goodness when I bought the new Smart TV (with streaming capability) the Geek Squad guys connected the MHDi cable and converter setup from the DVD/VHS unit to the TV. All I have to do is unhook/move that unit and connect the new DVD in its place.

It is another cold morning (32*F feels like 23*F) but light winds again today. May make it to 60*F this afternoon. So will try to get some errands done later this morning. Suppose to make it into the 70's in a couple of days... welcome spring time temps! I did remember to turn the drip system back on a couple of days ago. And, yes... I see daylilies green leaves poking up in the pots and a some blossoms opening on the peach tree.

Where does the time go???

@faerywings - good luck at dr. today. So sorry about your weather but just to make you feel a little better-it's cold and windy here in Florida too.

@Terri M - I hear you about tiring travel I think about that for my upcoming trip to Germany in the fall. Hope all goes well for you with all the Florida things on your list.

@mimes1 Yes we do feel guilty asking for help and to top it off- we rarely ask for help!

@AK_Tracy Ugh those compression socks are so annoying, I'm hoping you are out of them soon. Has the oozing stopped? It sounds like you are taking care of yourself as well has can be expected from an active person like you. Heal well.

Yesterday we went to club to paint the handicap parking areas 7 of them. then we went to lunch at a seafood restaurant that I have been wanting to go to. I had hog fish tacos. I never had hog fish so of course I had to try----it's delicous. best fish tacos I every had, mostly fish.
Chilly today so i went to get leaves for the monarch caterpillars, did a few things in my garden. Now I'm staying in so off the the closet to sort some of my clothes to donate. Hubby is mailing our tax info to my sister who has a tax service.
Later I will cut up some ham so tomorrow I can make scalloped potatoes and ham to take over the my HS friends house for dinner. She is at home now and is recovering from her brain aneurysm in Jan. Speech will be a problem but she is much improved from the last time we saw her so I am looking forward to seeing her.
I was going to make Loquat Chutney but the crows have cleaned out my tree. I am so bummed because I started out with so many.

Well I hope you all have a great last day of the work week if you are still working.

Good Morning Ladies!

@AK_Tracy Ugh those compression socks are so annoying, I'm hoping you are out of them soon. Has the oozing stopped? It sounds like you are taking care of yourself as well has can be expected from an active person like you. Heal well.
Yes, the ooze stopped and I've scabbed up beautifully and some are even falling off now. YEAH.

Yesterday, what a mess. We bought a reverse osmosis water filter system. We've been doing counter top water pitchers for a couple years and the filter are a pain and now they've decided they dont want to drain proper. We get two days of good water filtering and then it slows to slow and I'm not sure what's happening. We end up throwing out and replacing the filters before they're bad because the water just wont filter through. So we've talked RO filters for years and finally decided lets just do it. Yeah that's fine and they say its an easy install. Maybe if we had a plug in under the sink it would be easy. But we dont. We dont have garbage disposal so no power to the sink area. Fine, no problem. We'll plug it in behind the dishwasher. Pull out dishwasher, yeah its hard wired not plugged and ugh. So we spent 3 hours squeezing behind, adding wires, then finally we had to just unwire the dishwasher which was a major ordeal, pull it out, add new wires for filter system, get it all connected. Rewire dishwasher, flip the breaker, dishwasher wont turn on. Yet there is power cause the little do dad you check with beep beep beep beeps to let you know its hot. New plug under sink has power as it too beeps. But why wont the washer turn on? We spent 6 hours and one 40 minute trip to town for parts on this project. Needless to say, its not done, my kitchen looks like it exploded and its pizza night. I was planning to sit all day and do nothing but that's not gonna work. Going to sit while I can but will be up a bit here and there as I haven't even gotten the dough made for pizza. Ahhh life is fun when all I wanted was good clean water to drink. Our well has hard water and while its not yucky its just not super yummy. And we also have to get the compressor into the house and the hose to reach under the house to add pounds to the pressure tank so we can have proper water pressure for the filtration system. If you could see my kitchen. Plus whatever we eat or heat up to eat cant be washed or rinsed well as hubs was under the sink most of yesterday. :giggle4:

Well, must run, coffee is calling my name.

Good morning,
I totally did not get in here yesterday! I was busy all day.....and yet, I don't remember all of the details!
The few things I did that I remember.....
made the creamy white chicken chili from a freezer bag (crockpot recipe). It was YUMMY!!! Mark says it's a keeper! :woohoo::wehaveawinner: and I agree!
made deviled eggs
Asher was getting his hair cut, so I washed his doggy bed, blankets (towels) and his dishes and food mat
swept and dusted
Bible study
took some bird pics
still no ATCs but bought some digital files from a Bible journaling shop on Etsy
the pastor came and got the money we collected for the lady from church who is struggling with caring for her husband
played a game on my phone

I think that about does it, LOL!

Today Ilene is coming over. Going to let her enjoy some of the chicken chili we had leftover. We plan to go to the woods to eat lunch of Costco Cape Cod Chicken Salad and deviled eggs, but it is pretty chilly and windy today, even though the sun is shining brightly! So, we shall see! I'm going to have to put a sweater on in the house even!

I'm going to suggest going to Ruby Tuesday for supper tonight! Just because! ;)

That's it for me today!
HAGD!

The day I have been waiting for is here!! At 5.01 EST it's gonna be SPRING!!!
YAY!!!
Rainy and cold today.
It was the same for us!
I worked on my AJ challenge (Week 4) and I think it's almost ready to go live on Sunday.
I am behind.....
I am grateful that my FIL picked them up at the airport, no way would my Gary have been able.
Sorry Gary is still feeling badly.
Did you enjoy your PJ day? I bet combining your ATCs and Bible study was a nice way to relax.
Yes! Loved Bible study time......still no ATCs, however!
upgraded our plan for literally an additional 20$/month to what we were paying. Apparently there was a surcharge we've been paying for some time to keep our old outdated plan. Go figure.
My Mark get so aggravated and thinks they should automatically upgrade outdated plans....contacting you first, of course!
March is still comin' in like a lion, it is very cold and windy this morning.
Yup! Same here today!
ortho appt. Please let me get good news
Praying you get good news!
I crawled into a freshly changed bed with smooth sheets that smelled so good!
I totally agree with you! Fresh bed linens are the best!
the Geek Squad guys connected the MHDi cable and converter setup from the DVD/VHS unit to the TV. All I have to do is unhook/move that unit and connect the new DVD in its place.
That was good of them!
Where does the time go???
I ask myself that question almost every day!

I hate it when "simple" projects turn into a major ordeal!

Good Late morning everyone, it is almost 11am and I finally have a minute to pop in to say hello :wavinghello: My DH and his Dad are out getting a truck load of soil to fill in the holes in FIL's lawn where the trees stumps were pulled out. Of course they are going to be working in the rain so they have their rain gear and boots on. If they didn't do this in the rain, they might never get it done however, so hopefully they don't get soaked to the bone! We are off to DH's retirement party this afternoon and yesterday I found a really nice pair of jeans with some bling on them and a cute top to wear with them. It won't be a late night and I am the designated driver so I have to behave and not consume too much. Maybe one glass of yummy wine with dinner?? It won't be a late night as I think they only have the venue until 8pm. Anyway not much else happening here today.

We are going to Scott's for a quick visit since Caitlyn is off today. He invited everyone down before he leaves for work. Then it will be back here, a quick lunch, and then off to the ortho appt. Please let me get good news :prettyplease:
I will send you all my wishes for some great news from the Ortho Dr. How nice to get a visit with Scott in this morning too!
Hope you are feeling better after your home treatments. What is a whoosh machine?
I do feel so much better after using my nettie pot and Whoosh machine, it cleans your ears out with warm water and feels amazing!! Such a great way to get that wax build up out of your ears!! Opps guess it should be spelled Wush not Whoosh anyway here is a link. I did not pay that much for mine and I think they are a better price on Amazon.
Morning, O's... Had a good night's sleep - that could be because I crawled into a freshly changed bed with smooth sheets that smelled so good! :beatingheart:
Ohhh that is the best smell and best feeling to crawl into a freshly made bed with clean sheets!! Wish I could do it every night!! So glad that you had a great sleep!
Where does the time go???
I too ask myself that every single day!!
Needless to say, its not done, my kitchen looks like it exploded and its pizza night.
Ugh that really sucks to have your kitchen torn apart!! We used to have a reverse osmosis for our hard water in Saskatchewan, but the water here is much softer and taste great!!

Sounds like you had a pretty active day for sure!! Makes me tired just reading about it :giggle4:.
Those poor guys out there in the pouring rain!! I can see blue sky on the horizon so I bet you anything that the sun will come out the moment that they are done!! Have a great :friday:

Good afternoon! Stopping in real super quick between contracts. Been super busy learning the new job. I haven't had a ton of time to scrap either with crochet projects being due on short notice. But the new baby coming has his blanket! Now to find time to work on that state fair project. I have an upcoming conference so will be MIA for a few more days. See ya'll on the flip side!

Thank you for the Wush link. Went and. ordered for hubs. Amazon was a few dollars cheaper but not by much for the brand by name. But hey, if you love it, that sells it for me. Hubs has horrible wax and this will be so much nicer to use then a squeeze bulb full of water. Thank you!!!

I am back home... with a new Panasonic DVD player .... which also plays CDs. And... it was a matter of unhooking/unplugging lines one at a time and plugging them into the new player one at a time. The only challenge was where to find the language selections. as the movie started without going to the that area. Took a couple of minutes to realize I had to push Menu on the DVD control and there was all the selections for languages and close captioning!!! :D Yes, things have changed a bit since my old DVD was manufactured....:floorlaugh::D:floorlaugh:;) I swear that the video was even clearer... wonder why??? dance4

Just got a call that my taxes are done. I will pick them up on Monday - not going to fight going cross town during Friday afternoon traffic! It is bad enough during off-traffic hours. And I forgot that this is "Spring Break" at the schools!!! No wonder there were so many people out and about.

Talked to DD#1 - she had heard from DD#2 that her hubby has been moved from ICU to a 'Step-down' unit but still needs lots of care. Once they feel he is ready for a regular room care they will send him to a rehab center. At least he is slowly improving but may be a long road until he can be released to go home. Looking forward to having DD#1 and hubby here in about 2 weeks.

Wonderful up date @BrightEyes Glad your SIL is improving!! Congrats on setting up the new DVD player all by yourself! Thats wonderful.

We finally got the kitchen back in order and the water system set up. Now we just have to fill the tank and drain it twice before we're suppose to drink from it. Its annoying to wait but yeah its hooked up!!
